I have been having chest pains over the past couple of hours. It has been a steady pain....(7-7.5 on a scale of 1-10)... I've had a little bit of pain in my shoulder as well...What could be causing this? I am 5'8" and I weigh 260. I do have high blood pressure and asthma, (i take Lisinopril and Albuterol for those). My BP has still been running high, although I was just switched to Lisinopril from Propranolol 4 days ago. Should I go to the ER?

I laid down on the floor and my head started to ache and the pain spread up into my chest and neck. It felt like I was paralyzed from my chest to my jaw and I could barely talk. I started shaking and my vision was blurry. My husband called an ambulance and they took me to the hospital. By the time I got there I started to feel better and my heart rhythm was better but I felt terrible.

Iv called three days in a row 4 voicemails, 5 times speaking to staff leaving messages asking just how to tapper off propranolol.it also was causing scary chest pain in my heart. It would last about 1 min long but would hurt so bad and stop my breathing almost for that time. I just want off it. My uc Davis dr who is going to b burning my nerves in my neck said he likes the idea of me on topiramate but not propranolol. Has anyone had any experience taking either drug?
It sounds like you have had the same issues I had. I went through three trips to the er in 3 mos. 3 or 5 trips to walk in doctors. EKG's were always perfect, blood work fine, bp and pulse fine. Finally had an angiogram where they found my LAD was bridged. They put a stent in and I was fine for a while. Now I am having symptoms again(they don't seem to be the same as before). I am wondering if it isn't something GI from the meds and probably even more likely just anxiety this time.
In those 2 years, I start having more and more heart related symptoms. Chest pain, jaw pain, left arm pain, exercise intolerance, dizziness, vertigo, intestine problems, low energy physically and mentally...
I have severe anxiety (panic with agoraphobia, somatisation, GAD, social anxiety). My anxiety is not well control, I'm med sensitive and can't take antidepressants like Paxil, Lexapro or even older ones like imipramine...
I was on propanolol and codamol two weeks ago for treatment of sore throat and hoarse voice. i had t o discontinue because i was feeling funny with headaches,pumping heart pain in lower chest and dizziness and faintness. So i discontinued and was ok for some time unless if i got hungry. Now i have pressure in the head and upper throat ans if i have got flu and tightness in the collarbone on my left side .
He told me use Propranolol if you think you need it
I have been feeling better until yesterday morning I woke up and I realized I have chest pain , tremors , breath shortness and anxiety ...! My libido has also decreased

Highly doubtful, particularly in one as young as you are. My brother had similar issues as you at the same age, and it took many years before it became clear that his anxiety caused his gastro problems. Once he got the anxiety treated with an anti-depressant, he has had no further issues. Any kind of anxiety can result in loose stools. If you're still having chest pain, that could be from acid reflux, which is yet another very physical result of anxiety.
I placed a Stent on April 4, a week later I felt some pressure on my chest, took an ECG and a Ecp Doppler which shoed no problem. The doctor agave me propanolol 10mg (one pill). No more pressure on my chest.
What waqs it that I had?

ok so the past few weeks ive been having extreme anxiety, tingling in fingers, arm pain, back and chest pain on and off (pressure, sharp pains, anything you can think of i've felt it), panic attacks. saw a cardiologist on tuesday, said i had a normal echo. last year and nothing would drastically change within a year, and normal ekgs and holter monitor recently. he also prescribed me propranolol , which i'm terrified to take because it drops BP and your heart rate.
I have been given propranolol to take as I have had continuous palpitations since monday and my heartrate has randomly shooting up in the 100's (not related to posture!!) These will also help with my bp, it has been creeping up.
I have had these in the past but was more recently on bisoprolol. Which is more common for POTS symptoms?
I was in A&E last night and back at my GP's this morning. I have been refered back to the cardiologist who is going to see me in november.

I'm an eighteen year-old female, I take anxiety and depression drugs like Buspirone 30 mg, Bupropion 150 mg, Escitalopram 30 mg and Propranolol 40 mg on a daily basis for about two years. Two weeks ago, I had an orgasm, and then I rolled to lie on my side. The moment I moved, I felt severe chest pain, I couldn't breathe, and I had all of the symptoms of a heart attack.
I have had a high resting heart rate (100-130s) since July, and I finally decided to go ahead and try a beta blocker to help lower my heart rate and reduce the chest pain. I have normal-low blood pressure, so I know I'll have to keep an eye on that and any side effects. I don't remember which one my doctor said he was going to call in (I think it's propranolol), but I was just wondering if there is a beta blocker that works best... or do they all pretty much work the same?
I've been taking Propranolol for high blood pressure and tachycardia(10mg at 8am, 2pm, and 8pm) for about 18 days now, and four days ago I woke up feeling quite dizzy. Since then it seemed to get better, but now I feel lethargic, dizzy, and generally unwell. Is it my drug?

I take propranolol occassionally prior to speaking engagements. The last few times I've taken it I've experienced an mild ache in the chest, and just last week a stinging sensation. I'm scheduled for back surgery in 6 hours. Is this something I should be concerned about?

I am a 30 year old female that has suffered from depression, anxiety, OCD, and ADHD since childhood. I have been on at least 7 different medications over the years that have and have not worked for various symptoms; however, I can't find one that works for them all. I have been taking 50 mg of Zoloft for about 3 years and it works great for my depression and the best thing I've ever taken for my OCD, but my anxiety is worse than it has ever been.
