5300020 tn?1376765979 Anyone else taking care of someone in the later, but still mobile stages? My mom has EOA and is only 59. So shes super mobile but her cognition is lost. Shes constantly getting into stuff, bruising herself, flooding my bathroom and kitchen. For the last 3 days we have woken up to some sort of early morning disaster because she climbs over the babygates we've installed.
7552771 tn?1469933249 Well 6 years later it's time for me to take the wheel when it comes to my pregnancy and labor. My first I was induced, had drugs(not epi), and was on my back. This time NO DRUGS FOR ME, I will get induced if necessary and I will NOT be on my back for it is actually the worst position to give birth in and is done for the convenience of the doctor and as far as I'm concerned the doctor doesn't even need to be there. So here is some info for you already mommies and mommies to be I hope it helps.
1123420 tn?1350564758 try not to worry, they may just be considering it a case of low amniotic fluid which isn't dangerous (obviously as long as it's not TOO low) but it's something you want to avoid in the later stages of pregnancy for a number of reasons, which may be why they would aim for a 36wk delivery. but you really should call your doctor and ask all these things...he can explain it to you.
1182418 tn?1292440601 Ok so i came across a post on the teen pregnancy forum which bothered me. A girl saying shes angry about people speaking down on teen moms and how they need to shut the blah blah up. I am a very upfront and forward person and i personally think teen pregnancy has gotten out of control! Dont you girls use BIRTH CONTROL? or CONDOMS? Did you think you were invincible? Is it your ultimate life goal to get pregnant before youre out of high school?
Avatar f tn Hello, I agree with your doctor since the HCG levels have increased in number, any repeat pregnancy and miscarriage should be ruled out. Pregnancy during the early stages is hard to interpret on ultrasound abdomen and hence you should get the HCG levels monitored. Rising HCG levels are indicative of pregnancy and if the spotting continues then you may need to take progesterone supplements.
Avatar n tn There was yet another program that I saw that had a women that found out she was pregnant with twins....some time in the early stages of pregnancy she had major abdominal pain...went to doc said the twins where fine....she continued to have U/S and eventually when she was seven months in they found the third baby....out side the whom...placenta attached to the outside of the uterus and the balter. She was luck she did not loose any of the babies lives or hers.
1684282 tn?1505701570 What if a woman gets addicted to drugs or alcohol while she is young and foolish? Can she still have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby? I get asked these questions very often from concerned women who either want to get pregnant or are already pregnant and want to know the consequences of their mistakes. We all know that our actions must bear consequences, but our children should not be the ones bearing the brunt of them.
Avatar f tn If you were using it for nausea, you may have hyperemesis gravidarum, a condition that causes excessive nausea and vomiting during early stages of pregnancy. There are other medications that are proven safer during pregnancy that are effective for nausea that your OB can prescribe for you. If your OB is aware of your issue they will be happy to address it. . Your appetite will increase in a few weeks and the baby will not be harmed as long as you do not intentionally starve yourself.
Avatar n tn Has anyone else had these symptoms during the early stages of pregnancy? It is driving me crazy (and my husband, as well). He snores and since I'm having such a hard time sleeping these past three nights, I make his life miserable.... Any help would be greatly appreciated.
147172 tn?1226761778 It's not pretty as they cry excessively. I was prescribed pain killers throughout my pregnancy and waened down VERY SLOWLY with the help of my ob/gyn. I had a beautiful, healthy, perfect little girl who continues to thrive and become smarter and smarter by the minute. I just want to stress to all the pregnant women out there who are using for whatever reason be it legal or not, that you cannot and SHOULD NOT go cold turkey under any circumstances.
Avatar m tn How to help with fincial support (my parents kicked me out of the house and refuse to help so i can't go to them).

147172 tn?1226761778 Cold turkey at any stage, nevermind the later stages of pregnancy, put the mother's body into shock no matter what your usage is and can cause pre term labor and/or miscarriage. If you are early ini your pregnancy, be honest with your dr and allow him/her to wean you VERY slowly. The drugs that normally would be prescribed to anyone coming off of opiates (valium, xanax, klonopin etc.) are EXTREMELY UNSAFE at any time during your pregnancy.
289611 tn?1193415407 I dont mean to sound insensitive but in the early stages of pregnancy its common at 6 weeks and after to have morning sickness. Dont try to make yourself feel better by smoking. Think of your baby if you honestly care about it you would just quit completely. Right now is when it is developing all of its important organs and if you dont stop it could hurt the baby more than you can guess.
Avatar n tn I am looking for more info on pregnancy after an endometrial ablation. I had an ablation in May 2002. January 2003 I was not feeling well and went to the family doctor. She thought it may be an ectopic pregnancy since I was told I was sterile. I had an ultrasound to discover it was an interuterine pregnancy and I was about 9 weeks. I am now 17 weeks and for the past month trying to decide to terminate or continue.
Avatar n tn pelvic pain on left side only/lower back ache left side and a feeling of a uti with no infection... ...After doing some research I have found that at the late stages of pregnancy your Progesterone levels begin to drop for the upcoming labour - in fact this is what promtps labour to start and their is an increase in Estrogen also at this time. I'm terrified I still have another 2-3weeks left in this pain and will it make the labour itself more painful????
147932 tn?1226969710 It's very common to have spotting in pregnancy, especially early pregnancy. I spotted at about 7 weeks. I'm not 34 weeks. If you are extremely worried call your dr to have an u/s to be sure but unless it's really red I don't think you have annything to worry about.
Avatar n tn ) The doctor explained that sometimes the babies hormones are not enough to suppress a period even though the pregnancy continues. The amniotic sac at these early stages is not totally covering the entire uterus so shedding of the endometrium can happen. He told me that it is more common than people realise. Just that people have never met anyone with the problem. Not really something people talk about usually in idle conversation!
Avatar n tn I don't know if I'm having PMS or if I'm in the stages of early pregnancy. I know my body very well. I usually feel tenderness in my breasts, mild cramping and back ache, and get a couple of zits a week before my period. What's different this month is that I'm really breaking out-- face and upper back. For days my breasts not only felt sore-- it was like they wanted to double in size and burst. The description may sound funny but ladies, it hurt.
Avatar n tn my period finally became normal andfor aybe the past four months i've been feeling sick i've taken pregnancy tests all came up negative.

I am 44 (soon to be 45) i just found out today that my FSH is 16.4, i only have 4 follicles (still waiting on the results of the egg quality) and i have 2 uterine tumors about 3 cm each... 237300 tn?1231458318 Is being really thirsty a sign of pregnancy?? The past 2 days I have been really thirsty...I know I'm really reading into this but I was just wondering??
Avatar n tn Amanda, I have a similar question. Am 3 days late but pregnancy test results are negative. Had cramping 3 days ago, feel exhausted, and am usually a very regular 28 day cycle. I've been pregnant four times before; each time the test showed it immediately. Read another post saying pregnancy hormones sometimes build up more slowly, or maybe ovulation came later this cycle. Any advice other than waiting to take another test?
Avatar n tn I have taken Toprol XL for 3 years now, started out taking 50 mg per day, now down to 25 mg per day, doing pretty good. I take it for High BP & when I was taken off last year my heart rate would get really high & I have been to the ER several times. I am in the early stages of pregnancy about 6 weeks, has anyone every taken Toprol XL during an entire pregnancy. Any advice would be great...
1227139 tn?1462338230 In this community mom's might want to share their stages of their pregnancy, their questions, their appointments, their concerns or fears, and also share information regarding prenatal testing or other options during pregnancy. There is so much to keep track of during these 9 months and often having others who are going through the same thing at the same time can be a source of comfort, relief and also possibly provide answers to many questions.
Avatar n tn for the diagnosis of POTS and it's definitely within the realm of possibility that this stage of the pregnancy has brought them out. There are changes in blood volume that occur throughout the various stages of pregnancy. Also, as the baby grows and places pressure on different blood vessels and organs, this can have different effects on the symptoms of dysautonomia (POTS).
525894 tn?1212637812 I appreciate your information and support. I think I watched something similar a while back but really didn't get much info from it. I did find a book that might help so "IF" I'm pregnant, I'll see if I can find it. It was titled "Beyond Morning Sickness: Battling Hyperemesis Gravidarum." The reviews were positive in case any of you are interested as well. I'm also scheduled to see an herbalist in July. His plan is to help me balance my body.
Avatar n tn It is also common to have some cramping in the first stages of pregnancy, especially in smaller women because your uterus and cervix is streching. It is true that most specialists wont see you until you have had three or more mc's however you can request a consultation. I was diagnosed with endomertriosis when I was 23 and my doctor rectified the situation. There are many causes and sometimes none which can make things extremlely frustrating.
