Hi I noticed a lot of comments on the "New" formulation of the Armour Thyroid tablets. I never got pills from my pharmacy with the "A" I swear all of mine were blank with no logo. I noticed this last batch has the "A" logo, is whiter and does not split in half well at all. Were there Armour tablets with no logo before? I am so confused and upset by this whole problem with this medication. I feel like buying a pig farm and learning how to make the stuff myself.

I was wondering if there have been any studies comparing Pegasys and Pegintron, and if one has better SVR numbers than the other or was more tolerable. I am new here so I hope I am posting this in the correct forum.

3 Pharmacokinetics Methadone The pharmacokinetics of concomitant administration of methadone and PegIntron were evaluated in 18 PegIntron-naïve chronic hepatitis C subjects receiving 1.5 mcg/kg PegIntron subcutaneously weekly. All subjects were on stable methadone maintenance therapy receiving ≥40 mg/day prior to initiating PegIntron. Mean methadone AUC was approximately 16% higher after 4 weeks of PegIntron treatment as compared to baseline.

In a 28-week treatment regimen in which patients received 4 weeks of PEGINTRON(TM) (peginterferon alfa-2b) and REBETOL(R) (ribavirin, USP) prior to the addition of boceprevir (800 mg TID), the rate of sustained virological response at 12 weeks after the end of treatment (SVR 12) was 57 percent (ITT).

But, the fact was that I relapsed with Pegasys and the doctor wanted me to do PegIntron. So far, it looks like PegIntron has been successful. (I am currently waiting for the results from my 6-month post VL test, but previous tests have been undetectable). I would not worry if the doctor cannot get the rx changed.

Having done both Pegintron and Pegasys I had a much harder time with Pegintron. I had a fever 40 out of 48 weeks the day after my shot nite with the Pegintron and maybe only once or twice with Pegasys. all people handle tx differently so only time will tell how you react. On both tx's the red and white blood counts had issues that are easy to controled by rescue drugs.

Did your doctor say why he wanted you to use Pegintron? Is it due to the dual infection? Is the Pegintron stronger? Just curious.

This is where I think the info came from regarding my original decision to go with the pegintron.... less relapse rate, less sides, stays in system shorter amt. of time when you come off , etc. My new nurse, said that study had a lot of flaws and she did not put a lot of faith in it and talked me into pegysus... any comments would be appreciated.

My doctor switched me to 80 mcg Pegintron wirh same dose of Riba. Can someone please tell me if its OK for me (in terms of chances of achieving SVR) or advise something better?Thanks.

Is Pegasys just as good as Pegintron? My insurance refused Pegintron. Any information will be most welcome. New to the group.

Among subjects with detectable HCV-RNA at TW8 who had attained undetectable HCV-RNA at TW24 and completed at least 28 weeks of treatment, the SVR rates were 66% (45/68) in VICTRELIS-RGT arm (4 weeks of PegIntron and REBETOL then 24 weeks of VICTRELIS with PegIntron and REBETOL followed by 20 weeks of PegIntron and REBETOL alone) and 75% (55/73) in VICTRELIS-PR48 arms (4 weeks of PegIntron and REBETOL then 44 weeks of VICTRELIS with PegIntron and REBETOL).
