After a long fight with blue cross blue shield of Ga I finally got the pre approvel I needed. I found out what my meds are. It will be 600 mg of Rebetol and 150mg of the peg intron isnt the Rebetol kind of low. I been watching how much people on here are saying there taking this just seems lower then every one else. I start March 14 for 48 weeks and he knows I have to keep working I carry the Ins.
not sure there is much of a difference but i have heard pegasys has less side effects.
Patients who do not meet the RVR criteria will stop boceprevir treatment at week 28 and continue PEGINTRON and REBETOL alone for an additional 20 weeks, for a total treatment duration of 48 weeks. In the 48-week treatment arm, patients will receive PEGINTRON and REBETOL plus boceprevir for a total treatment duration of 48 weeks. Patients in any arm of this study with detectable virus at week 24 will be considered treatment failures and will discontinue treatment.

MD said my labs are great, beginning RediPen PegIntron alfa-2b and Riba-4 wk lead in, then Victrellis 12 weeks, remaining 8 weeks SOC. I'm going to have a nurse come to thehouse as was offered to teach me and husband how to do injections and timing for oral meds. Scared about sx since I have to teach to maintain ins. coverage. As long as I'm upright and breathing I'm gonna do this! You guys are informative/ helpful. Any suggestions? TIA.

Hi everyone! I'm a 2B and just started my treatment 2 nights ago with my first injection. It went really well, and I still don't notice any side effects (sx?). I am taking pegintron and rebetol. Is this normal? I have been reading about all the side effects and had me pretty scared, but so far, I feel fine??
I started triple therapy with Sovaldi/Pegintron/Rebetol on 15th August. On 28th September I took HCV RNA test and got result <15 UI/mL. The report says: No measurable signal - no HCV RNA detected!
I am so happy the treatment is working on me, but I was wondering if this is considered RVR with respect that I took the test not exactly after month but 1 month + 10 days.
