Common Questions and Answers about Peg intron patient assistance

peg-intron

Avatar m tn t help that I was denied patient assistance for Infergen and would have to pay for the medication myself (which I cannot). I can very likely get patient assistance for Peg-Intron. What should I do?
Avatar m tn If in need, call the Schering-Plough Patient Assistance Program at 1-800-521-7157 and/or the Roche Patient Assistance Program at 1-877-757-6243. November 10, 2008 http://www.hepatitis-central.com/mt/archives/2008/11/choosing_and_af.
407029 tn?1253992623 I don’t know which interferon you are prescribed, Pegasys or PEG-Intron. Quite often, our insurance companies will cover the cost of ribavirin for a nominal co-pay; however, the interferon is excluded from the Rx side of the plan, but covered under major medical, which is probably why you are seeing the high co-pay. I’d encourage you to call one of the following numbers and ask about their Patient Assistant Plan (PAP).
Avatar m tn Hoffman-LaRoche, the maker of Pegasys, and Schering-Plough, the maker of PEG-Intron, each have a patient assistance program for people having problems getting the drug. The number to call is (800) 443-6676 for Pegasys and (800) 521-7157 for PEG-Intron. http://www.atdn.org/simple/pifn.

Avatar m tn Pegassist (Roche Pegasys system): 1-877-734-2797 Commitment to Care (Schering- Plough PEG-Intron system): 1-800-521-7157 The assistance is income rather than asset based; give them a call and see if they can provide help. They will probably want copies of last year’s IRS 1040 forms, along with verification of copay.
Avatar f tn There is some help available for the medications through the pharmaceutical companies; they can provide patient assistance for those that are uninsured or underinsured, provided they fit the income criteria: Pegassist (Roche Pegasys system): 1-877-734-2797 Commitment to Care (Schering- Plough PEG-Intron system): 1-800-521-7157 Best of luck to you— Bill
1046633 tn?1253698728 The doctor completed his portion and I received a letter today from the manufacturer that this is not one of the drugs they offer on the Patient Assistance Program. Has anyone else received assistance with getting this type of medication? What was the process that you used to obtain assistance?
Avatar m tn Here are some patient assistance numbers from the mfgrs. I haven't used these in a while, so if one of them doesn't work for you let me know and I'll straighten it out: Pegassist (Roche Pegasys system): 1-866-422-2377 Commitment to Care (Schering- Plough PEG-Intron system): 1-800-521-7157 Amgen Pharmaceuticals (Neupogen) 1-888-762-6436 http://www.needymeds.org/drug_list.taf?
1628149 tn?1299785675 you can call the manufacturers of the HCV drugs to see if you’ll qualify for patient assistance; they often provide the drugs free of charge for those that are uninsured. However, they don’t cover doctor’s care, labs, procedure costs, etc.
Avatar f tn The manufacturers provide patient assistance for the meds, but the patient will still be responsible for labs, procedures, office visits, etc: Pegassist (Roche Pegasys system): 1-877-734-2797 Commitment to Care (Schering- Plough PEG-Intron system): 1-800-521-7157 Welcome to the discussion group, by the way— Bill
1309756 tn?1273623646 The manufacturers of HCV meds provide patient assistance for folks like your father. Have him call whichever number is applicable to his situation in the morning, and they will try to help.
Avatar f tn You might get meds covered by the mfgrs patient assistance programs; that can save tens of thousands of dollars: Pegassist (Roche Pegasys system): 1-877-734-2797 Commitment to Care (Schering- Plough PEG-Intron system): 1-800-521-7157 But you’ll still need a doctor to prescribe and manage the treatment. Have you called Mayo in Scottsdale and asked if they have any programs?
442340 tn?1326817417 He uses Pegasys and my GI doctor (whom I love) uses peg-intron. My question for all peg-intron users is how bad have your sx been? The doctor I saw today said pegasys seems to have less sx, but of course not all people react the same way. I love my GI doctor and want to treat with him, but am I making a mistake by going Peg-Intron? Thanks for your input. My stats: 26 years old, really healthy, active female, geno 3a, VL 949,000. No biopsy done Thanks!
