i read on a medical web page not long after finding out that i myself have a hemmhoragic cyst on my left ovary that fertility drugs can help to cause ovarian cysts because most ovarian cysts are caused by the eggs not making it all the way out of the ovary or something of that sort and they just kind of pile up inside of the ovary and form a cyst. however, i did read that most ovarian cysts go away sometime during ovulation.
Nabothian cysts are fluid filled cysts that occur on the cervix (the opening to the uterus). I have a few of them, as well as a history of ovarian cysts and a dermoid that is going to be surgically removed in a few weeks time. Majority of women do experience ovarian cysts and they generally do go away on their own without any damage. Caution that if it is on the larger size then it could rupture or twist in which you will experience extreme pain. If this happens it is an emergent situation and you need to go to the ER.

Cysts are very normal , especially in pre-menopausal women. Depending on it's type, size, your age, and other factors, your doctor could opt to do a " watchful waiting" over the course of a few menstrual cycles to see if it resolves on it's own.
My grand daughter was just diagnosed with ovarian cysts. I am just looking for information and insight from experience of others. I am wondering if such cysts might be related at all to diabetes (not diagnosed, but maybe in a pre-diabetic situation). An MRI has been done and medicine has been given so doctors can determine if surgery will be required. She has been told that she may not be able to get pregnant in the future if she has surgery. Much to think about. Much to pray about.

The CA125 test is not accurate at diagnosing ovarian cancer. Benign conditions, including harmless ovarian cysts, can cause elevated results. I'm surprised they even did a CA125.
If you do indeed need surgery, the frozen section done while you are in the operating room should dictate whether or not the ovary needs to be removed. If it's not cancerous (only about 13 out of 1,000 women get ovarian cancer) you would not need your ovary removed.
I am now on probation. I have ovarian cysts, so I deal with alot of pain. I had a prescription for oxycodone(tylox), that ran out and I took a couple of my mother-in-laws hydrocodone(lortab) to help the pain one day. I have to be drug screened for probation now. Will they be able to tell the difference between the two opiates? I know I should not have taken someone elses medicine but I hurt.
I have been suffering from Ovarian Cysts since I was 16 years old and I am 32 now. I had an oophorectomy at age 16 of the right side. I have two beautiful children but cannot get an acceptable quality of life because of these no warning episodes. Do you know of a natural remedy that I can use to eliminate and prevent future cysts from forming? My frequency is about 2 to 3 times a year.
Hopefully this cyst will do what most do and go away within a few cycles / months.
