lyrica

Avatar f tn I have tried Lyrica with no change in symptoms started taking Ralivia (Tramadol) last winter found that it was helpful for pain but when I went to stop taking this went through huge withdrawal symptoms was horrible. Am currently taking T#3/Advil for pain sometimes Percocet for really bad days. I do not want to take these analgisics as they are also highly addictive. Anyone know of any other meds without narcotic that have been helpful for treatment of symptoms? .
2107676 tn?1388973859 I just thought I should say hello and let you all know that i am still fighting the battle. Thanks for all the messages and I am sorry I haven't answered. I have been feeling pretty rough. I collapsed a couple of times one day and finally insisted my doctor do something because I was at a point where I was afraid to even walk. He has diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia and started me on lyrica and Tylenol 3. I was taking oxy on my own so I am withdrawing from that as well using the T3's.
Avatar m tn How do you pay for Lyrica?, I take one 75 MG in a.m and one 75mg at noon and two 75mg's at bedtime for treatment of FMS and it's costing me $384 a month.
307897 tn?1242419260 Besides Lyrica and Neurontin, what other pain med is really out there for Fibromyalgia? I have taken both. Loved the Lyrica. I had no pain but the side effects were terrible, including the two broken toes. My GP put me on Neurontin and I am up to 600mg as of last Friday. One 300mg in the morning and one of the same at bedtime. I still have pain but not quite as bad but u know it's still there. I have some side effects from it, too, especially legs and ankles swelling daily.
1218873 tn?1300091216 If you have no drug coverage Lyrica will cost you about $350.00/mn. That for 3 tabs of 100mg/day ouch! Our FDA (food and drug association) is why. I have gotten my meds through Canada and they are so much cheaper. With the laws in place now here in the good ol' US of A it is being considered a narcotic. So you can't get Lyrica through the mail just like pain meds. The meds I got through Canada funny (well not real funny) most came from England or India.
Avatar f tn I take about 18 Lyrica a day. Please help me. I will die from overdose or severe depression. I have no one to talk to. My teenage daughters are suffering with me.
Avatar f tn I have been living with burning and pain in my middle finger, ring finger and now the pinky finger. The pain is so severe I have to blow on them to keep warm or shake my hand to get rid of the pins and needles I feel. The fingers have to be continuously kept warm because they burn when they are exposed to coldness. No direct pressure can be put on my wrist and all the way up to my elbow.
Avatar n tn Thank you for your quick reply. I live in Toronto (Canada). I was able to get a neurologist appointment Apr 13th and MRI on Apr 19th.
Avatar f tn My Brain and Spine MRI is normal with no evidence of demyelination I live in Manitoba, CANADA and my neurologist and hematologist are completely confused by my symptoms. My neuropathy is controlled by 150mg amitryptyline and 450mg Lyrica. I suppose that my closest diagnosis is a Chronic immune sensory polyradiculopathy but that apparently doesn't explain my blood results and my bone marrow biopsy.
Avatar n tn Hello - Question is: What other drug or pain relief options are available for nerve pain other than anticonvulsants like Neurontin & Lyrica and Depression meds? Unfortunately it appears that anti-convulsants and depression meds that are used to treat nerve pain can cause hair loss. I take Neurontin for severe nerve pain at disc, low back, legs and feet. Nerve pain started immediatley after sed/ta disc surgery. Have taken neurontin for 8 years.
Avatar m tn Will swelling and itching go away by continuing to take Lyrica. I started in my hands and feet. I have been taking it a month and the symptoms are daily but are mild and seem less and less. Today, it is only swelling on the top of my ear with slight itching. Should it continue taking it, because i heard that discontinuing could cause a seizure.
Avatar f tn Has anyone been prescribed lyrica? I have, and have had great results with it for nerve pain in my right arm and hand. Opinions, please. My two other posts with more description vanished, so I will leave with this lol.
Avatar m tn Does anyone take lyrica and if so, has it made a difference resting at night? Thanks.
Avatar f tn i just started lyrica yesterday...75mg...only taken it twice...could it ALREADY be helping my symptoms or is the "good feeling" just in my head?
131817 tn?1209529311 I started Lyrica in Nov. O7'. I felt horrible for a long time. I went slowly. One pill a week, until I reached 150mg. I hurt all that time. After I had that 150mg ( not much) I started feeling better. It took so long.....more than a month. Finally, I did feel better. I did have breakthrough pain, nothing like I had before, but stabbing here and there. I still do! My Rhemy asked me to up my dose. I refused, as I had sides that put me asleep so often...
5164523 tn?1366525959 so for awhile when i missed the lyrica, i thought oh, i have vicodin...but as Vicodin off, more and more the lyrica helped.....but when I missed doses of everything..., It was by my wife keeping a diary, that I realized I was missing so many just a few days or even one...the Oh! went on... And now I have taken 3yrs without feeling the sick, sweaty feeling I felt when I missed dose.. I did not gain weight ..
Avatar m tn Hi, Lyrica shouldn't be addictive at the low doses used for neuropathy. My grandmothers been on it or the other derivative, gabapentin, for years. Just take it at low doses. It works wonders for treating nerve pain though.
237152 tn?1206651036 My pain doc says neurontin is a much safer drug than lyrica and wants me to stick to the neurontin.....lyrica does have a euphoria associted with it with use for some....especially at first....
