Get it checked out! I have a lump in my right breast, about the size of a marble. My doctor told me to cut back on caffeine, as it can cause fibrous cysts. I didn't drink much caffeine to begin with, but did what she told me. Nine months later, the lump grew a little bit and was tender. Doctor scheduled a mammogram and biopsy for me and I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I'm only 31! Even if the lumps don't hurt, get them checked out anyway.

i was feeling a lump in my left breast for an year. 2 months ago, i felt that its size became double. so i was worried and two weeks ago i had a doctor's appointment and she recommened ultrasound. ultrasound report tells that there is a well defined hypoechoic nodular measure 3.8*2.3cm, is seen at upper outer quadrent of left breast at 2 degree clock position. it has smooth contours and not fixed to underlying tissues. it is likely a fibroadenoma.

Hi, If you have no other symptoms like nipple discharge, skin changes in the breast or nipple area, any lump, any inversion of the nipple etc,I doubt that it could be a sign of breast cancer.This pain could be caused by hormonal changes.Try to avoid caffeine (chocolate coffee,colas) and see how it goes.If the pain still persists you will need to schedule an appointment and see your physician for a clinical evaluation. I am glad that you are seeing your doctor tomorrow.This visit is long overdue,and,if I may add, you should not have ignored this lump in your breast for as long as you have.There is something that you can do to lessen the pain...try to limit your caffeine intake as much as possible (chocolate coffee cola).Your doctor will examine your breasts tomorrow and maybe order an Ultrasound for a better understanding of what this lump might be.Best wishes and God Bless.

I have a 6cm lump in my right breast that I am going in for excisional biopsy next week. The needle biopsy showed a benign condition (fibroadenoma) with atypical cells. My lump seemed to apear and grow over night, so I know why you are freaking out. I was too. I would be assertive and get in asap but also stay calm. There is a good chance that this lump is benign. Hope it works out. Keep us posted.

im so sorry to here about the lump in your breast it must be a real worry for you my daughter found a lump last year but thank god it turned out to be a cyst i know its easy to say dont worry but im sure you will be fine please let me know how you get on take care.

my doctor has since called me and told me not to drink any caffeine for a week and if the lump was still there she wants to do an ultrasound. the lump is still there. i have family history of cancer but not breast cancer. my father has follicular lymphoma. do i need to worry? how accurate are mammograms for women with dense breasts?

I was examined by my gyn in december to see how the cysts he found in july were like. I had three, one had disappeared, the other two the same. Since december, I have gain about 7 lbs , stress, and now I can feel the lump and it hurts. Before I just felt some pain when I pushed but did not really felt the lump. My daughter was only 15 when she found a lump in her breast. I immediately took her to the doctor who did an ultra sound. Luckily it was nothing. Probably caused from too much caffeine which can cause lumpy breasts. Don't take any chances please have it checked out. I'll be praying for you!!!
