I am a 50 year old male, I feel a hard lump behind my right nipple extending upwards above the nipple a little bit. Can men get breast cancer? If so, what's the difference from a cist compared to a cancerous lump? My lump doesn't hurt, but has a slight itch from time to time. I've had this lump for a little over 6 months now, it was smaller when I first found it. Could you please respond ? Thx for reading this.
Lumps during breastfeeding may be caused by blockage of ducts which carry the milk from deep in the breast to the nipple openings. Milk that builds up behind the blockage causes the lumps and makes the breast sore. Warm compress may help provide relief. Gently massage the lump toward the nipple during and after feeding and cold packs after a feed may help relieve pain and inflammation.
had to be removed behind where the milk ducts were. Then again another MRI showed behind the nipple was another mass which had to be removed (same breast). So take every precaution and talk to your doctor about everything. Do not let anything go by, can't take chances with your Life. Good luck, I hope this helps. Hi, Friday morning my left nipple was a little itchy when I checked it was leaking a clear sticky discharge which turned to blood when squeezed, did this all weekend, Sunday being the worst day. I did feel what felt like maybe a raisin size lump just behind the nipple, it was soft and moved. The bleeding and clear fluid is almost gone by Tuesday. Had a mamogram Tuesday, it came back normal. Nurse told me to go home a rest easy. I don't feel the lump any more either.
And it feels like i have something that is swollen inside my breast. It feels like a lump right behind my nipple and the entire left breast seems to feel tight with soreness sensation. I don't have any discharge, i am on a birth control (for about 12 years-never had a problem) and i just finished my period (about a week ago). So it's not hormonal and i didn't do anything abnormal. Should i be worried?

About 2 months ago, i found a lump in my left breast, behind my nipple, which is painless but quite hard. I left it to see if it would go but it didn't. So today i finally plucked up the courage to go to my GP and get it checked out!
Im only 18 so finding this was extremely worrying.

Two months ago, I found a small lump about pea-size behind my left nipple in the areola area. It continues growing and is about marble-size now. Other than the size change, it does not bother me and really isn't painful. Aside from changes in lump size, I've been experiencing consecutive and severe headaches and neck pain, as well as feeling tired all the time. The left nipple and areola are dark, but not as dark as the right nipple. The left nipple/areola also swells and then has watery yellowish discharge from the pores. (I really hope I am describing this correctly) The left nipple is sore to painful depending on where I am within my monthly cycle. The right nipple is always painful in areas where I have sensation. About 6 years ago I had a lump removed from my left breast (benign) with the incision along the areola line.
Tonight my 14 year old daughter informed me that she was having discomfort in her right breast behind the nipple. Only on the right side. There's an obvious lump under the nipple. a week before these glands started hurting I had my right side gland behind my cheek bone just before my ear swell and hurt. I think this is the saliva gland, as I would east salty or sour foods it would hurt worse. A few days ago, i realised that my right nipple has a lump uder it. I dont know what could have cause it. im not sure but at first it was near the surface of my nipple, but now i think it sunk a little inside. If im not mistaken, when i first realised it, it was very small, now it is the size of my nipple, but i dont know if it will grow larger or not. It doest hurt very much when i pressed it, just a little discomfort.

Back in January, I developed a lump under my right nipple. It was painful to the touch and the area felt swollen. I was examined by my doctor who told me it was probably mastitis, which is usually something that occurs with breastfeeding (I have no children). By this time, the lump & swelling had gone down and it wasn’t as painful.

In April I found a lump behind my left nipple. I had a mam and an us which showed a superficial 2.3x0.2x0.3 oval nodule with mild posterior shadowing. I went for a biopsy but the radiologist coudn't find the area and I went home. The lump is still palpable and tender now into my left axilla. I saw my PMD today and she said I had some swollen glands in my axilla and ordered an MRI. Is this signifigant or am I over reacting?
