198506 tn?1251156915 I went bed weighing one thing and woke up 2.5 pounds heavier. Does anyone know how to lose water weight quickly (short of water pills) or at least how long it will stick with me? My weigh-in at Weight Watchers is tomorrow and I'll be disappointed if I gain this week. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.
Avatar f tn there are tons of websites out there that can help you determine how many calories you need to reach a particular weight goal. oh, also remember that losing weight is a lifestyle change, not a quick fix overnight deal. so stay positive, keep at it and good luck! you'll get there.
Avatar f tn It's also possible that 166 was not an accurate weight or was due to water weight. Not that gaining 6 lbs in a week is impossible, but it's unlikely. That would require an extra 3000 calories per day. Extra. I doubt you're eating 4500-5000 calories per day. :) More likely, you were closer to 161-162 last week aside from water weight, so the 163 this week is right on target.
5147790 tn?1364304489 t that hypothyroidism, insulin resistance or PCOS, all of which can cause weight gain and/or make losing next to impossible. Good luck and keep posting.
10286987 tn?1410261849 Because your body is not fully developed, you need to have your parents and your doctor help you with weight loss in order to make sure that your are losing weight safely and that you don't have any underlying medical problems that may be causing weight gain or preventing weight loss
Avatar n tn i also just had a baby, my daughter is 6 months old. and i couldn't lose weight while i was nursing, i was the same way with my daugther. i stopped nursing in october, right around the time i went to a weight loss clinic to help with my diet and started seeing a nutritionist. i also work full time, i try to walk as much as possible. i walk during my 30 min lunch.
Avatar f tn It's usually water weight, which is normal. It can fluctuate a lot. Unless your Dr is concerned, I would not worry about your weight. Just eat healthy and take the prenatals.
Avatar f tn I'm only 6+1 weeks and I haven't thrown up at all yet but been nauseas. I have lost 4 lbs so far :-( I hope I'm not hurting the baby. I eat lil snacks but get to nauseas to eat a meal. But i do drink about 10 large glasses of water a day so I don't get dehydrated. Any other woman lose weight before gaining?
Avatar n tn Hi there, Hope you are doing well. A good dietary regime and exercises all will be helpful in losing weight. Losing weight in a healthy way is important for maintaining the glow of your skin. Eat lots of fruits, dark green leafy vegetables, fruits and consume less of potato, sweetened and processed foods. Start your day by drinking lemon juice in warm water. Have fruits with lots of vitamin C in breakfast that will help you cut fats as vitamin C is a fat burner.
4347786 tn?1357713425 A LOT of women lose weight in their pregnancy from morning sickness, at this stage your baby is getting plenty of nutrients anyway. Try eating a little here and there, fruits, apples especially, ginger ale and water really went down well for me with my first pregnancy. Make sure you're taking prenatal vitamins so your body is well nourished whether you're eating much or not, and try to stay hydrated, that's most important. I hope you feel better!
7968140 tn?1406932734 I tend to be losing weight and feeling some pains in my lower and right abdomen, I really do not want to come out as a complaining wife to husband. Anyone experiencing this as well?
Avatar n tn s keeping you from losing weight. By eating regular meals, you can better incorporate a mix of vegetables, protein, whole grains and healthy fats into your diet. Snacking, typically, ends up being fruit, candy bars, crackers, sandwiches, chips and all the things that aren't so good for you and tend to make you, either, gain or hold onto weight.
Avatar f tn I drink water. For lunch I will prepare a salad with shredded carrots and cabbage, lettuce, a few green olives and maybe a few sliced almonds.. I also add a l/2 to 3/4ths table spoon of diced jalapinos.. I am convinced that the jalapinos help in digestion and weight loss...( that is strictly my own opinion... for what ever its worth)I also make a salad dressing out of 1/2 of a small avocado, I add some 1% butter milk, a little juice off of the green olives, a little garlic and onion powder..
Avatar n tn I know the feeling. There is always a tomorrow or next week when it comes to proactively losing weight. And if I feel overweight then yes I want the weight gone yesterday. Some advice. Don't drop the weight quickly, this is rarely a long-term solution. If I took time and had the mental discipline I could have lost weight many times over. Do it once, do it right. Issues with weight and body image are taxing (emotionally, physically and financially) and demoralizing.
4193337 tn?1355698372 t stopped eating or anything but I do force myself to drink lots of water and am back to eating tons of fruit. Is this safe that I am losing weight? This is my second pregnancy and I know during the last few weeks you can lose a few but I am still a ways away from that. Any thoughts?
Avatar f tn For losing weight, drink warm/hot water several times a day and do kapabhati for 30 minutes, twice a day. Kapalbhati pranayam Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute. -(Do it before eating) Push air forcefully out through the nose about once per second. Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for 20 to 30 minutes twice a day.
Avatar f tn Drink more water. Every time you feel hungry drink water. Try the fit for life plan. Eat only fruit till noon. Load up on the vitamins. For dinner have only steamed vegetables and lean meat. Fish is best. Get active. Swimming is the best and no impact. Take a walk after each meal. I hope this helps.

Avatar f tn I'm having such a hard time losing the weight I gained when I was pregnant. I used to be very active and drank a lot of water, now I just want to lay around and don't drink water like I used to. I'm slowing getting back into the habit of drinking water more but I don't have the energy or drive to exercise. Any advice?
Avatar f tn ve almost completely cut out soda and sweets. I was wondering if I should cut out all drinks besides water to lose weight the fastest? Or does anybody know of something else I can drink that won't hurt or slow down my dieting? I haven't lost any weight yet but it looks like I've lost at least 10 lbs in my stomach, due to not looking so bloated from all that soda.
6520484 tn?1399082398 But I still have 20lbs of fat that I put on during the pregnancy. Just wondering if anyone had success in losing the baby weight? I could use some pointers. I already eat healthy and all I drink is water and milk, no juice or pop or anything. I'm too tired to exercise (with Two week old baby and all). Anyone do anything to lose the weight that really worked?
978106 tn?1285108401 Sounds like water retention. It doesn't seem possible to gain weight with what you're eating, unless you have a thyroid condition or some other disorder such as Type II diabetes, which can complicate matters. As for exercise, get in what you can. Take the stairs, park far away and walk to the store, school, etc. Or call up a friend and take a stroll around the neighborhood. You don't have to kill yourself to get a decent amount of exercise. If you can exercise, by all means, do.
Avatar f tn Have you tried taking Vitamin B6? My midwife recommended this but I didn't have morning sickness nearly as bad as you. Tried to stay hydrated, you may be lightheaded because you're not getting enough fluids.
