Avatar m tn When I was going to college, I took a workout class that was actually ROTCs pt class. The group encouragement was amazing!! Try looking into group classes offered by your gym or get a friend with similar goals. The buddy system is such a motivatior. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Its good you've set a goal and are looking to find out how to achieve it! However losing 15 pounds in a month is unrealistic and unhealthy. Did you know it takes about a year for your body to adjust to losing 10 pounds? It's important to remember weight loss is a marathon and not a sprint. In order to lose weight and keep it off, you shouldn't look at it as weight loss but a way to become healthier!
Avatar f tn They should be able to set and appropriate goal weight for you, and give you some tips on losing some weight. Never try starving yourself or making yourself throw up. You are wonderfully made. Keep going. You can do it.
Avatar n tn Hi there, Hope you are doing well. A good dietary regime and exercises all will be helpful in losing weight. Losing weight in a healthy way is important for maintaining the glow of your skin. Eat lots of fruits, dark green leafy vegetables, fruits and consume less of potato, sweetened and processed foods. Start your day by drinking lemon juice in warm water. Have fruits with lots of vitamin C in breakfast that will help you cut fats as vitamin C is a fat burner.
Avatar f tn I cannot exercise a whole lot do to a medical condition where I suffer from daily headaches and pressure in my head. Losing weight will actually help this condition. Besides my overall health, this is why it is so important that I lose weight. I have lost weight in the past, but always seem to gain it back. I think that I was not eating enough calories. i was staying at about 1000 a day. I lost 70 pounds, but gained it all back plus a lot more.
10286987 tn?1410261849 Birth control pills can cause weight gain. You should talk to your parents about getting a different type of birth control.
Avatar n tn Let's see a 10 yr old cat that's losing weight and losing hair. This, to me, sounds like your cat has an overactive thyroid. Try doing a google search or yahoo search on hyperthyroidism and see if the symptoms fit. There's also a possiblility of kidney disease, as well. That could cause weight loss, too, but not hair loss. My main suspicion is hyperthyroid disease. This can be extremely dangerous because the heart rate increases big time. This can cause heart failure.
Avatar f tn d have gained most of my weight after back surgery and then retiring ,7 years ago. But I have been trying but have had problems losing the weight,I had gained about 28 lbs, my height is 5in. I recently got really determined and lost 10 lbs and needing to lose another 20 lbs! I workout 3-5 times a week, usually dvds ,Rocking Body by Shaun T,turbo jam or biggest losers walk .if the weather permits I also walk outside. My body frame is pear shaped,my weight goes directly to my hips and rump !
Avatar f tn The best, healthy way to lose weight is to eat about 4 or 5 small meals a day and to exercise daily, switching between cardio and resistance training. Also try to cut out soda and drink lots of water instead. Healthy weight loss should only consist of losing a couple pounds or less a week in order to keep it off long term.
Avatar f tn s a bit excessive amount to lose in just one month. You should only be losing up to 10 lbs a month to stay healthy. Figuring out a target weight and date, and a moderate excericise program is what will help you shed punds without killing yourself. Try the DietDiary app!
Avatar f tn Anyone have any good tips and or experiences for losing the pregnancy weight after giving birth?
Avatar f tn What's been working for me is keeping a food diary. Writing down everything I eat has really kept me aware that I was kidding myself when I would think, "I'm not eating that much, why am I not losing weight?" Now that I realize how much I was REALLY eating I'm doing better.
20801560 tn?1512718136 I had an operation a few months back and since then I've been losing a lot of weight. I've calculated by BMI and apparently, I'm underweight, almost severely. I know people will say "just eat more" but it really isn't that simple. It's problematic for my stomach to adjust to larger portions. My antibiotics are also causing extreme fatigue; I can't exercise regularly like I used to (exercise really helped) and I sometimes skip meals.
Avatar n tn You do realize that when you're sleeping you get 8 hours of fasting so all you need is a day and half It's no big deal
Avatar f tn I'm not sure that's a factor given the amount of weight you intend to lose. At your age, you probably won't have that problem, but as we age, we get loose skin whether we're losing weight or not. Better to lose it now than later. I would imagine that if you incorporate resistance training in your exercise regimen you can work on that, but know that once you do resistance training and gain muscle, you have to maintain it or it will turn into loose skin. Look.
5147790 tn?1364304489 t that hypothyroidism, insulin resistance or PCOS, all of which can cause weight gain and/or make losing next to impossible. Good luck and keep posting.
978106 tn?1285108401 Sounds like water retention. It doesn't seem possible to gain weight with what you're eating, unless you have a thyroid condition or some other disorder such as Type II diabetes, which can complicate matters. As for exercise, get in what you can. Take the stairs, park far away and walk to the store, school, etc. Or call up a friend and take a stroll around the neighborhood. You don't have to kill yourself to get a decent amount of exercise. If you can exercise, by all means, do.
Avatar f tn I wouldnt try limiting your food intake as you need to keep the nutrients up for your baby. I am also over weight bordering on obese according to bmi and i have lost 15 kilos but that was from morning sickness and eating healthier. You can try light exercise like swimming if your doc says ok and just try to have a good selection of healthy foods to eat and you may lose weight as a by-product but again i wouldnt try to lose weight while growing a baby. :) good luck.
Avatar n tn 10 and weigh 22 stones and 7 lbs for the past 3 weeks i have been exercising every day, and have been on a liquid diet, where i am having 1 slimfast milkshake as my daily meal, in the first 2 weeks i noticed that i had lost just over a stone as i was originally 23 1/2, but in the third week i have noticed that i am not losing as much weight, i am currently doing 45 mins cardio on my treadmill, followed by 15 mins on my punch bag, and then i would do weight training for 15 mins.
