Avatar n tn I love to eat and constantly snack instead of eating real meals to help keep up my energy levels for my sports. I need help finding healthy easy and quick snacks. I exercise a lot but I never seem to lose any weight. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn So my dr told me that I am losing weight today at my appointment. I know its natural in the first trimester but my dr is concerned and says I need to start gaining. Problem is I am never hungry. I eat a small meal at lunch time and feel completely stuffed the rest of the day/night. Anyone have any suggestions?? I'm already high risk, I don't want anything else to happen too!
Avatar f tn Six small meals throughout the day are suggested but if you are going to stick with 3 meals a day, throw in 2 snacks in between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner. One of the snacks can be a protein shake. You have to throw in some carbs or you will feel extremely drained. For breakfast you can have a cup of oatmeal with berries and a few hours later you can have some eggwhites or a piece of fruit or a protein bar.
Monkey I've gained weight while eating healthy and exercising regularly. I have not reached a fitness plateauand sometimes I do eat or not healthy snacks but it doesn't come out to much. Does anyone else have this problem?

Avatar f tn Suggest improving your eating habits to help lose weight which recommend a Heart Healthy diet which is a moderate fat diet. You need approximately 1500-1800 calories per day which is spread across 3-5 meals a day with snacks between meals. Moderate fat diet means = use polyunsaturated (omega 3, corn oil, nuts, etc) fats and monounsaturated (olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil, etc) fats, no saturated fats (high fat snack foods, butter, fat spreads) and no trans fats.
Avatar f tn I joined a gym and exercised for a year but did not lose a single pound. I am a vegetarian. I diet but instead of losing weight, owing to heavy workout and strength training I got slip disk in L4 and L5. I was on complete bed rest. Ever since I have put on weight. I joined a slimming program but there also instead of losing eight I gained 9 pounds. I have tried everything. I do not have thyroid. My PCOS tests were also normal. Still I cannot lose weight.
Avatar n tn More weight? !! I was looking for losing my weight. However, it is pretty easy to gain weight faster as I am gaining :( . You can take protein regularly and healthy foods like Egg, milk shakes,snacks.. Most of the yammmy foods helps to gain weight, at least I think so!!

Avatar f tn If you don't think you're gaining enough you should try a supplement shake or drink....boost, enfimil or even carnation instant breakfast....they are all descent tasting and have many many flavors to choose from.
Avatar n tn also drink 1 or 2 glasses of water if you feel hungry then wait 30 min if your still hungry than eat. before you leave your house pack a lunch box full of healthy snacks fruits ,veg and nuts almonds are a good source of protein. that way you have a healthy alternative i completly get being busy so eating out may be easier but if you do these things and eat out for dinner than you can have a nice healthy dinner there are lots of healthy options at restaraunts now.
Avatar f tn t cut calories just eat healthy foods and drink only water. You need the calories to stay healthy. Cut soda tea and juice altogether. Actually look at the weight watchers diet for pregnant or breastfeeding mom's.
Avatar f tn I have not had gastric bypass although I should. I weighed 350lbs when I got pregnant. The last Dr visit I weighed 333lbs. The doctor said she was not worried about the weight loss but did not want me to gain more than 9 lbs my entire pregnacy. The morning sickness makes me lose my appetite. Although now in 2nd trimester I'm feeling more hungry. I saw a fetal care specialist and she said she did not want me losing any more weight so I'm not sure what to think either.

Avatar n tn Drink plenty of water and get on a healthy sleep schedule as sleeping is super important for losing weight , being healthy, and your mind! Please don't be to hard on yourself, kids are mean so remember you don't have to live up to the expectations of other people or society's expectations! There is no other you and you are all you have so be nice to yourself and know just how amazing you are no matter what weight you are!

Avatar f tn What are you doing to start losing weight? You need to implement a healthy diet, keeping calories in check, with moderate exercise. Most likely your parents (whichever one live with) buys the groceries, so ask them to help you and to make sure there are plenty of fresh, healthy foods to eat, instead of snacks, like candies, cookies, chips, etc. Keep a food diary so you know how many calories/day you are actually eating.
Avatar f tn ve been gaining weight and eat 3 big meals and snacks in between, never had morning sickness this baby been really good, but when I go on the scale for my appotiment not much has changed. I'll have my first ultra sound on my 20 weeks let's hope for some good news!
Avatar f tn Hi there daiisyy, You say you " have a bad habit and you don't like to eat breakfast". That's more than just a bad habit. Think of breakfast like fuel for your body. It's really advisable to have protein, some carbs and maybe some fruit for breakfast. The protein will also helps you think and gives you energy as does the carbs. As for going to the gym, you don't have to go everyday. Walking is one of the best exercises you can do.
