Avatar f tn Hello there, i'd suggest you eat less in each and every meal, for example: on lunch you eat one full plate of whatever you have cooked, you can cut this quantity by half. Another thing, you can make lots of salads that are healthy and satisfying, this way you won't consume as much calories as you usually do. This also affects your mood and the your energy through the day. Also try avoiding alcohol drinks/ soft drinks.. And try not to eat too much sweets. You can still eat chocolate.

Avatar m tn A healthy diet should consist of adequate amounts of calories with carbohydrates, proteins, fat and plenty of fruits and vegetables to supply vitamins and minerals. Skipping any of the food components is not considered healthy. Also when aiming at losing weight the protein intake may be slightly increased and the carbohydrate intake slightly lowered. The calorie requirement should also be adjusted for ones physical activities as well.

Avatar f tn I wouldnt try limiting your food intake as you need to keep the nutrients up for your baby. I am also over weight bordering on obese according to bmi and i have lost 15 kilos but that was from morning sickness and eating healthier. You can try light exercise like swimming if your doc says ok and just try to have a good selection of healthy foods to eat and you may lose weight as a by-product but again i wouldnt try to lose weight while growing a baby. :) good luck.
Avatar m tn When I was going to college, I took a workout class that was actually ROTCs pt class. The group encouragement was amazing!! Try looking into group classes offered by your gym or get a friend with similar goals. The buddy system is such a motivatior. Good luck!
Avatar m tn I think you need to reevaluate your weight loss goals. Most health professionals recommend losing between 1-2 pound per week for healthy weight loss. My personal opinion is that your calorie count is too low. In my personal experience losing weight on a very low calorie diet is extremely difficult (and isn't healthy and isn't sustainable long-term). I would recommend you check out the doctor's first blog here to get some tips on how to lose weight.
Avatar n tn And how much do you exercise and what do you do? How tall are you? And know that losing weight quickly can be done, but not in a healthful fashion and not in a permanent way.
