Thats good to hear. Im 3wks waiting for my 6wk check-up & im plannning to get implanon as my birth control. Ihope idnt gain weight either. In 3wks ive lost 7lbs & ihope ikeep on losing some more iwanna weigh 110-115.
My weight loss is not much yet, but I was wondering if taking these birth control pills is actually the reason for my weight loss? I know birth control pills are supposed to help with hormonal imbalances, so would taking them also enable me to finally start losing weight, despite the fact that so many women say birth control pills cause them to GAIN weight?
I'm due in a few weeks. I don't know what to do about my birth control I had Mirena before and had a miscarriage. My doctor still wants me to try mirena but I also had a hard time losing weight and I felt like it kept me from keeping the weight off. The only thing I liked was not getting my period!! Any other suggestions besides mirena?

So my babygirl is almost 8 weeks this past Sunday i started my birth control pills. i personally wanted to try the iud but hubby wasnt having it. Well im 20 years old and this is the first time ill be on birth control. i tried the pill once when i was younger but i only took em for a month cus i kept forgetting to take them. anyway, i was just wondering.. how many of you have been on the pill and did it work? for how long? what were your side effects?
I hust started a new pack of birth control pills this month. I used to take tri-lo-sprintec tablet generic for (ortho tri-cyclen LO) for the past 6 six years, but in Michigan we do not have it in generic form anymore. Therefore this month i started taking Eth estradi/norgestimate and I feel very lazy and sleepy all the time and I see that I have been gaining weight. My question is is what I am taking now the same as what I was taking before because that is what the pharmacy told me?
