Avatar f tn I know what it's like to be a teenager, looking to lose weight fast. Don't take pills! It will mess up your metabolism for life!!! Trust me!!! I was you 20 years ago.
Avatar f tn t work by themselves - you will need to eat sensibly and moderate exercise. In addition, most often any weight lost with diet pills usually comes back once you go off them. You will need to make changes that will sustain you over the long haul. Would love to see you take twehner5's advice and check out some of the journals and posts from others who have been successful. And don't let her fool you, twehner5 has done quite well for herself too.
Avatar n tn re not the most important tool for choosing a diet -- some high calorie foods are very good for losing weight, some low calorie foods are bad for losing weight. The real issue is how you metabolize and digest your food, and that will differ by the person.
764218 tn?1234569759 I'm 20 year old girl, weigh 132 pounds, and i'm 5'6. I exercise (cardio and lifting light weights) about 2-4 times a week, depending on my schedule. I want to weigh 125 pounds and have been thinking about taking diet pills to help because I can't seem to lose more weight. Is it a safe idea? I've heard rumors of girls my age taking diet pills, and later on in life are overweight and can't lose the weight because they ruined their metabolism. Is this true?
Avatar f tn Quite honestly, you dont need all these diet pills to lose weight a healthy and effective way. If you use diet pills, you pretty much have to stay on them for a while in order to maintain that weight you lose while taking them. Losing weight is a life change, and using diet pills and what not, doesnt help with the fact tha tpeople need to eat healthy, watch what they eat and also do physical activity. I wouldnt rely on them. Just my opinion!

Avatar n tn Losing weight steadily with the healthy diet and workout is a nice way to shed extra pounds. I have lost 10lbs in 2 months with the help of appetite suppressant pills Regenon and healthy diet plan. You can try these meds for reducing weight fast.
Avatar f tn With all due respect, can not recommend any diet pills to anyone. The only true way to lose weight is through healthy nutritional food, moderate exercise, and making a lifestyle change. Diets and diet pills simply do not work. There is no quick fix but weight loss is most attainable. If you'd like support in losing weight naturally, would be happy to be of assistance. Best wishes ... to your health ...
Avatar n tn t imagine that any cardiologist would be happy about an aortic stenosis patient taking diet pills. Losing weight if they were obese, yes. Taking speed, no.
Avatar m tn How were you treated for Graves Disease? Are you now hypo? Are you on thyroid replacement hormones? If so, which ones, what dosage and for how long have you been on it? It's possible that you need to increase your med dosage, if you aren't losing weight. Typically, when thyroid hormone levels are adequate weight will come off. If you have current labs you could post, that would be helpful for us.

1519805 tn?1291058650 As you mature, it will be more and more difficult to lose weight. However, large amounts of weight gain--with no change in diet or activity--usually hints at a medical condition. So make sure you rule those out first. First of all, there's nothing easy or quick about losing weight. I'm so frustrated with commercials and billboards that promise fast results. A fat camp means you'll lose weight while at camp, but then what happens when you get home?
978106 tn?1285108401 Not everyone can sustain a 1500 calorie/day diet; you may need more or less, depending on your current weight and activity level. The types of calories you eat will have an impact as well. Yes, I know a calorie is a calorie; however if you eat foods with, say, a lot of sugar or other simple carbs, you blood sugar will not be stable and that sugar is likely to turn to fat, much more quickly than lean protein and complex carbs (whole grains, nuts, seeds, etc.).
