losing weight while on birth control

Hey what kind of birth control are you considering after birth??? Has anyone ever been on the depo shot? How did your body react? My friend has done the depo shot two different times and each time she has gained alot of weight with it, anyone else experience weight gain? I would like to do the depo shot bc I know I cant remember to always take the pill but I already have a hard time losing weight any advice???

I am putting on weight after i have marina IUD. My periods ended up on just spotting and no more regular bleading. I also have hair growth under my chin. I am planning to get rid of this IUD. Please help me if any one else having this kind of issues. Any other suggations for birth control.

Could this be caused by the birth control? I exercise daily and still have problems with losing weight. I dont know what to do?

she lost a dramatic amount of weight while she was on it. so it is defiantly true that you can lose weight while on the depo.

I'm sure I've seen a post with this question before, but I can't find it. I'm wanting opinions on birth control after baby is born. I have less than 8 weeks to decide! I'm 99.9% sure this will.be our last one, but don't want to have my tubes tied. I want the option to change my mind even though I'm sure we won't. I'm due in a few weeks. I don't know what to do about my birth control I had Mirena before and had a miscarriage. My doctor still wants me to try mirena but I also had a hard time losing weight and I felt like it kept me from keeping the weight off. The only thing I liked was not getting my period!! Any other suggestions besides mirena?

I had iud and it KILLED my sex drive and I've gained so much weight.. I took it our a month ago and it was like someone turned on a switch. . I want to have sex way more often and I'm losing weight.. I loved that I didn't have to remember to take a pill.. However I will go back to pills after I have a mother baby..

how do i loose weight. im 14, 5'3" and i weigh 200 lbs. i've been on birth control for almost 2 years and my family's weight is right around 110-130 lbs. what is a good diet or exercise plan or what may be the problem?

I use to be on depo way before I got pregnant and I hated it I hated everything it put me thru soI came off it are there any other kinds of birth ccontrol that are good I really don't want to get pregnant again after I have her i want to wait until least she is 5 3 the earliest I know birth control is different for everybody but I just would like to know a few so I can look them up and when I have her I'll ask the doc what to do from there but depo is not the answer for i gained to much

I was a long term birth control, but one I can could on!! There is so many things that can go wrong with this IUD that it really scares me. Does anyone else have the Mirena? I was on the patch, ortho evra, it worked good I guess, I didn't end up pregnant again until I quit using it, I believe I gained weight on it though, its one of the side effects but I seem to be prone to gaining weight every time I'm on birth control.

s always a chance, a slim one though. It really all depends on what u want out of the birth control. I suggest u read up on all the different types, & talk your choice over with your doctor to find one best for you.

In part yes it will help you lose weight or just control but it will not be the main source for losing weight. For people like us its one of the perks of birth control unlike for others. Good luck with the Ortho Tri-Cyclen I hope works for you in all female aspects.

I was on depo before and hated it. The mini and the regular birth control pill were pretty good just a lot of nausea in the beginning but it eventually goes away.
