433485 tn?1321813390 After numerous med switches and them pooping out. He started me on Lamictal, Seraquel, Lexapro and Deplin ( medical food containing methollfolate which helps the body process folic acid). Recently we had to ramp up the lamictal and lexapro and I seem to be doing better. A few months ago is when he changed the diagnosis. I was not happy as I felt a stigma about being classified as Bipolar 2.. I am also in therapy who is doing cognitive behavior therapy with me.
Avatar n tn the 21st Century Stress Syndrome by Wilson, and Low Blood Sugar and You, by Carleton Fredericks. Remember that toxins have to leave the body via body orifices, which includes sweat glands. Poor diet with junk food, sugar, processed foods with their chemicals & preservatives), household and industrial chemicals a lack of plenty of pure water---chemical-laden "city" water---all create toxins. Then we take meds on top of all that! No wonder we sweat!
Avatar n tn My blood pressure has always been low but in the last 8 months or so ive been having readings around 108/51 or as low as 96/44 and im wondering if lexapro could have made my b.p even lower than normal and want to know how dangerous this is. Avatar f tn My grandma has suggested low blood sugar, and she tested it in the morning before I ate it and it was 66. Later in the day, about an hour and a half after eating a vegetarian chorizo empanada, my blood sugar was at 64. I then ate two glucose tablets and some pita bread with hummus. After 15 minutes my blood sugar is only at 74, and I still don't feel awesome. What is going on?
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, My new therapist claims that many of her patients have improved on Lexapro - so I was hoping to get some comments from members. My sister went on it and her blood pressure shot up and didn't sleep well, so she got off it, so I am rather scared as I am anxious over my blood pressure readings. I personally like to use all that CBT , relaxation and other stuff and the occassional anti-anxiety pill when things get a bit out of control.
Avatar m tn However I am concerned as I suffer from high blood pressure and racing heartbeat and now I am afraid to take the Lexapro as I fear its going to worsen my not so good blood pressure and heart rate. Is this a valid cause for concern?  I DONT want higher blood pressure and heart rate.  Should I continue taking the Xanax as prescribed if I dont wish to take the lexa? Also is it possible to just medicate myself on Xanax and skip the antidepressants altogether!?
709686 tn?1277432159 Candida is an intestial yeast that we all have and when we consume too much sugar this yeast gets out of control, punches holes in our colon and releases toxins into our blood stream and can cause a wide range of health problems. Anyone else?
Avatar n tn m still having extra hunger. I have had blood tests to check thyroid, blood sugar.... and everything comes back normal. What is going on with me????
Avatar n tn After reading these posts and I am starting to put two and two together and they are definitely looking like they are adding up to weight gain from Lexapro. I started on Lexapro in early July. I weighed in at about 178 at that time - 5'9 and worked out almost every day. While I was experiencing the start up side effects from Lexapro (about 4 weeks) I didnt work out but didnt gain any weight during that time. Anyway long story short - in the last month to 6 weeks I have put on about 12 lbs.
Avatar m tn Hello. I suffer from panic disorder and have been on a steady dose of Lexapro 10mg and Klonopin 0.25mg for 5yrs. 5months ago I was given Ciprofloxacin and Flagyl for an UTI. My girlfriend had them before me and had panic attacks and nervous breakdowns 1 week after treatment.
Avatar n tn ve had something like coffee with creamer in it or something that is sweet (fruit?) and nothing else --- I will get a bout of low blood sugar. I know when it is happening because of how it feels. OR if I haven't eaten at all or am hungry, the same thing can happen. Have you tried eating a little something at those times? I would try it to see if it helps.
Avatar f tn Currently, I take them both in the morning and I feel myself kinda shifting back and forth between feeling focused and awake or tired and dizzy and I want to know if it would be better to just take the Wellbutrin in the morning and the Lexapro at night? Like, would that change anything or does it matter?
Avatar m tn I am not sure what is going on with me. I am sleeping almost whenever I get the chance. I wake up at 9, get to work for 10 and when I get home at around 630, I take a nap until 8. I then go to bed at around 1. On the weekend, I am sleeping more. I'll take about 2 naps and sleep for about 10 - 12 hours. I'm also feeling quite miserable and not wanting to do anything. I do go to the gym 5 days a week but I find it very hard to push myself to go and when I am there I am miserable.
Avatar m tn Hi all As part of my treatment for trying to uncover why I have tachycardia, I had to see a psychiatrist, who has prescribed me Xanax (extended release - once daily) and Lexapro b/c he believes i suffer from generalized anxiety and possible depression. Does anyone on this board (with heart rhythm issues) have success stories from these drugs that you could share with me?
Avatar m tn the last one i went to told me to eat every 2-3 hours, drink a lot of water, cut out fast food and dark sodas and continue taking the Lexapro. she said do this for 2 weeks and come back. it works okay i guess. i'm having to force myself to eat b/c this has made me so depressed and not hungry. anyway, can anyone help me??? i'm seriously at a loss. i hate not knowing what this is. please if anyone went thru a similar situation or anything let me know..i'd greatly appreciate it.
551103 tn?1245294059 I suffer from Generalized Anxiety Disorder and mild depression, hence the Lexapro. When I stopped the Lexapro in a few weeks the depression and anxiety returned, I was unable to sleep more than 3-4 hours a night. I was wearing myself out and these PAC attacks started. I feel better now, I believe the Lexapro is taking effect. My last PAC attack over christmas was not as severe as the previous attacks. Also, during the attacks I take Xanax, and that helps of course.

I am overly emotional, anxious and feel depressed at times...this is not my normal self, I am 57 years old and menopausal, I have not seen an endocrinologist in 12 years, my primary is an internalist and am also being followed by a surgeon.

Avatar f tn Does blood sugar gets higher as u progress in ur pregnancy?
7631083 tn?1394352887 For the past week or so there has been a couple of times where I feel very weak and my hands start to shake. I know it means my blood sugar is low so I will try to hurry up and eat something. Its sometimes when I first wake up and there are times when its in the middle to late at night. I'm 36 weeks and 4 days. I should probably tell my doctor when I go in on Friday or should I be more worried about it and do something now?
Avatar n tn i have 121 sugar fasting how i controlled and avoid this problem please i am depression from last long time and always in tension
Avatar n tn Hello, Definitely your blood sugar levels are raised. First of you need to start exercising and do brisk wals for atleast 45 min per day. A diet that includes fruits, vegetables, fiber-containing foods, and low-fat milk is advised. Consumption of foods with a low glucose levels appears to reduce postprandial glucose rise and improve glycemic control. Reduced calorie and nonnutritive sweeteners are useful.
Avatar n tn I tested my blood sugar this morning and it was 105. Would you say this is out of the normal range. I had blood work done about a month ago when I had my annual physical and my sugar level came back at 109. My doctor didn't seem to alarmed.
