We used a condom for sex and it did not break. I had no symptom and was on Levaquin 500mg for 2 days prior and 3 days after for a seperate nasal infection.
When I came home, I had sex with my wife. She developed a yeast infection
Could that have been from me?
As an aside, she had also been on antibiotics a week earlier for similar nasal infections

It is hard to say if the cause is the Levaquin.
I foolishly insisted on taking Levaquin following some severe infections and I have to say in two words: "Never Again". Twitching, muscle pain, aches for six months.....arghhhh.
During that treatment I was concurrently taking Levaquin for an unrelated sickness. Finished the Levaquin and the yeast seemed to go away. Fast forward to last Friday and the yeast came back! I just so happen to have gone to my dr for my yearly exam and she did a culture which came back positive for yeast. In that time frame I was having sex with my boyfriend and it started to feel really raw and painful.
All those antibiotics are killing good bacteria and yeast infections come next. Also take some apple cider vinegar to balance your PH levels and prevent infections. Garlic and black elderberry will help you fight infections.. Avoid sugar at all cost, carbs such as white bread should be kept at minimum. I've had similar problems in the past and making lifestyle changes does help.
From that point she got better with exception of 2 yeast infections which she insists are normal and she does have frequently... and I did not...which leads me to the prostatitis again. But the timing of the prostatitis really has be snagged. On a side note...I have never had burning during urination except for after the urethral swab...ouch.
I had levaquin for three separate infections at the same time -- had no problems other than complete and utter exhaustion -- hope you all feel better

Has anyone had multiple yeast/BV infections? I've had 3 so far and I think I'm having another! I'm going to ob tomorrow and I'm sure I'll get some meds. It's frustrating. Anyone Else?!?! Please help.
I was having servere pain in my middle back in the right side so at 1 am on the 5th I went to the er at that point was 22 weeks and 4 days they admitted me into labor and delivery where they found out the pain was due to a kidney infection they kept me on an IV with antibiotics until I was discharged this morning they sent me home with more antibiotics to take to finish fighting the infection but since I got home this morning my vagina has been kinda itchy when I itch it it hurts could that be a
I've heard you can take monistat for a yeast infection. But I would talk to your doctor first. Treatment for a yeast is different than bacterial, and you should make sure you don't have any other complications before starting something.
Hi ! With CFS, I used to get numerous infections (sinus, URI's, yeast and bladder infections). I was undiagnosed at the time and so I was being treated with antibiotics and then eventually I found out how to get rid of some of these infections without prescription medications. It looks like you are doing the same and being pro-active when it comes to your health. What helped me with bladder infections was drinking lots of water and cranberry juice.
I was treated with one dose of penniciln and one week treatment of levaquin 750mg. I was also tested for HIV and hep c and all test were negative. It has been two weeks since I have been treated, but the lesions clear up and then return. Do I have something I need to be concerned with at this point? Pls respond.

I used to get yeast infections every time I had intercourse. The only way I was able to stop this from happening was by douching with a vinegar and water rinse right after having sex. It was a major inconvenience but it definitely stopped the ongoing yeast infections. And on those occasions when I was too "lazy" or "relaxed" to get up and douche, the infection would return without fail. A vinegar douche really does help, but it is a major "mood disrupter.
I had really bad urinary pain and they said I do not have bacteria in my urine (which is prob masked) and asked about STDs. I have a yeast infection from the antibiotics and am taking antifungal meds now and feel a little better. My question is if my ex did have something (which i'm still certain he didn't) would all of those antibiotics have killed whatever was in my body?
You cant have vaginal sex and then go right to anal sex or vice versa. Its not healthy and it brings bacteria. The yeast infection you probably had, but had sex with your husband anyways before getting treated and then you keep passing to each other. That happened with me and BF. But...if you have no signs of a yeast infection, then your husband is the one that needs to go to the doctor to get medicine to clear it up.
I have been getting non stop UTI and Yeast Infections for the last 3 years, twice a year. @ yeast infections a year, and 2 UTIS a year. I recetly was taking a antibiotic for my UTI well those symptooms gt better and later I noticed constant itching and white thick yeast smelling discharge and now thy precibed me DIFLUCAN. I wanna know why does this keep happeing to me?

t happen all the times but most times when I am dry. I am 32 years old and he is 49 I have went to the doctor and I keep getting yeast infections. I use the over the counter meds fr it and sometimes the doctor prescribes me creams but it keeps coming back. Is it coming back because I gave it to him and he brings it back to me each time? He is a diabetic and is uncircumcized but he is very clean and has good hygienes in that department.
