You need to go to the FDA website and file a drug side-effect report. It is hard to say if the cause is the Levaquin. I foolishly insisted on taking Levaquin following some severe infections and I have to say in two words: "Never Again". Twitching, muscle pain, aches for six months.....arghhhh.

I thought the joint pain was because of commuting and I started seeing a chiropractor for my back pain. From Sept - Dec I had 3 - 4 ear infections that included ringing in the ears and ear pain and developed diarrhea The last ear infection (still joint pain and back pain) I was put on Cefzil and I had to go to the hospital because of tingling and burning from head to tow. They switched my ab to Levaquin 250 for 7 days.

Well, I had some issue in my ear, a little bit of pain and a feeling of fullness in right ear, may be some hearing loss as well but not sure. I went to an ENT who diagnosed that I have some infection in ear and gave Levaquin. I took it in the night and I don't remember if I slept immediately after that. Buy what I remember I woke up to a very scary morning. I felt extreme dizziness and spinning sensation. I was struggling to stand up from bed. I vomited and had nausea.

I was on 875 mg of amoxicillin for respritory infection then the day i finished that I was given levaquin for a sinus infection I got while I was on the amoxicillin and now I have an ear infection with discharge and bleeding and the sinus infection is not gone? Is it possible to get all these infections one right after the other while on these anibiotics?

) Seven days later, cleared up, stopped antibiotic, then got what was most likely the flu but I had the flu shot a month before so it blew through me, short but bad. Ear problem came back. Went back on Levaquin a month atter first course and now done with it. Left ear got involved at this point, minor. Right ear is not anywhere near as plugged as it has been but needs cleaning out.

If you have been taking levaquin, do not have a urine chlamydia test. Levaquin cures chlamydia and would make the test negative, even if you were infected recently. At this point, there is no point in having any more chlamydia testing at all.

t really tell me what was wrong liked at my ear and said it still looked cloudy. So she gave me 10 days of antibiotic. I finished them but now I have preasure on the right side if my face preasure in my ear and a tonsil that is bothersome. I don't have a fever. Could this be a cause of an std? Please help I'm scared.

I have levaquin for an ear infection and I had two refills. So i just filled. them. Wouldn't it just make sense to take it to its completion?

I finally went to a nurse practcioner who said he needed his tonsils out(they were huge) and adenoids out and he put him on a prescription nose spray and he explained that it brought down the swelling in his nasal passages and helped things to drain. I don't know but it worked! We were able to keep him well for 3 months until he could get his adenoids and tonsils removed.

My dog is a boxer and she constantly has ear infections. She shakes her head all the time. Short of cleaning her ears three times a day, what can I do about it? Can you put tubes in dogs ears like children? She also gets yeast in between her toes and is always licking them. And the smell is aweful! t look like little bugs. They actually look like a ton of brown/black ear wax. Go to 1800 pet meds and look under ear medications. Look for tresaderm. This will treat the mites. If it does have a foul smell to it, there is medication available on that site as well. However, you can treat it yourself with peroxide and alchohal. (if you have the stomach for it, that is). In the morning, poor peroxide into the ear. Hold the ear shut so it bubbles up inside.

He said one side cleared after a week, but the right side needed another week or antibiotics. I never really felt 100% better and then last Friday I started having ear pain and little fever. So I started myself on Levaquin 500 mg a day. Felt better next day but it does not seeming to be going away, now on my 4th day of Leviquin. Hello everyone. I have an ongoing sinus and ear infection. It is now trying to move into my lungs(bronchitis). I have had 2 rounds of Levaquin, an injection of Rocephin and dexamethazone and it is STILL not clearing up. I hated to take those antibiotics in the first place. They are always a LAST LAST resort for me. Probiotics have been taken for the issue these cause, but does anyone know of anything else I can try that will work.

I was suppose to take Levaquin for the ear ache but read all the side affects from taking it and flushed them down the toilet. Will all antibiotics cause you to not have a true result with the NAA test?

I had the same problem for years, despite otherwise good health, and I took, on different occasions, Levaquin, a Z-pack, and Augmentin. Awesome antiobiotics indeed, they killed every pathogen in my body except several in my sinuses, which grew back immediately. According to Mayo Clinic research, sinus infections don't follow the regular model of tissue infection.

I have taken Levaquin numerous times for bronchial and lung infections. The chief of staff at UAB, Birmingham, Alabama told me to always drink tons of water when taking Levaquin. I drink 32 oz. of water with every pill, and another 32 oz. during the day. Before this, I took Levaquin and had problems with my joints. I do not have a problem at all when I drink the water. Maybe this will help.

never levaquin but just ended plaquinil and am calling doc to see if i should refill aBX's
