lvd is not the first choice and it stops working after years of use due to the fact virus develpos resistance.
lamivudine is not a hbv drug anymore and it is useless on hbv so you have just wasted money, all antivirals are useless on hbv infection, they can only lower replication to lower liver damage but most hbv carriers have even no liver damage so look for an expert liver specialist to guide you or check all forum posts
the only drugs to use safely to block liver damage are: interferon, tenofovir, entecavir.

once the lamivudine has been started it is difficult to discontinue it without changing it to another medication. it is possible that you have developed resistance and may need to check a viral level and if (+) be switched to another medication. Resistance is very common with lamivudine use. a CT scan or U/s should also be checked.

D Doctor advised me to use Lamivudine which I did. Two months ago i did the test again and it showed that I am positive. I was advised to do Liver scan and HBD DNA Viral Load. I was taking this lamivudine about 10 years ago, and back then not many choice available, dr. told me i have the wild type, the goal was to suppress the hbv virus, and after about 1 year, developed resistance and mutated, i asked the dr. what does that mean, and the dr. said now there is more type of virus in my system, luckily dr. prescribed the newly viread that was not even approved for hbv patient yet at the time, and the hbv quickly came under control in 6 months and no resistance either.

U can check it online. Before then the dr. wrote lamivudine and hepantivite but the pharmacy shop mistakely gave me lamivudine and hepantivir which i took for 3months b4 my viral load came down to 159iu/ml.
