B after taking lamivudine.
first of all lamivudine is a wrong choice because it is not used anymore on hbv and even for fulminant hbv tenofovir or entecavir are the best choice because they suppress hbv immediately while lam is too weak and takes too long to make hbvdna und, also rates of patients without death is much higher for tenofovir or entecavir than lam
if you are having liver decompensation making hbvdna und, ast-alt normal as soon as possible and then use of immune suppressive cortison is the way to go since yo

I've got hepatitis B since 1985 ,any symtom to appear ,HBsAg positive, HBc IGm ,IGg positive ,others tests not at all( normal levels). I don't care about it, 2008 march i've got test blood detail as under : transaminases SGPT 39 ui/l SGOT 34 ui/l HBsAg positive ,DNA/HBV/PCR: 10.300 copies/ml .
I am not a doctor but i can tell you lamivudine is the worst drug for hbv and just make damage.
After treatment HBV, I took lamivudine 100 mg/day DNA/HBV is negative since May 2008. Successive (check blood DNA HBV Every 3 months).
Now after I stopped using lamivudine 2 months
-DNA/HBV: 280,000 Copies = 2,8 x 5log10.
-SGOT : 140 ui
-SGPT : 300 ui
Should I take tenofovir 0,5 mg alone or plus lamivudine 100 mg ?

lamivudine is not a hbv drug anymore and it is useless on hbv so you have just wasted money, all antivirals are useless on hbv infection, they can only lower replication to lower liver damage but most hbv carriers have even no liver damage so look for an expert liver specialist to guide you or check all forum posts
the only drugs to use safely to block liver damage are: interferon, tenofovir, entecavir.
HBV DNA clearance was assessed using assays with different sensitivities to detect HBV DNA. Adefovir and lamivudine increased HBV DNA clearance at end of treatment versus placebo. Entecavir increased clearance versus lamivudine with inconsistent effect size. 1. I am HBV carrier, and I am also under treatment with taking lamivudine 100mg daily. Will this impact the result? Will lamivudine/HBV virus cause false negative?

who is the crazy docotor who prescribed lamivudine/epivir, add tenofovir as soon as possible, lamivudine don t cure hbv and makes hbv mutations which can be untreatable and can make liver cancer even if hbvdna undetactable
do add tenofovir as soon as possible, you have just worsen your condition with lam, it is not indicated for hbv anymore, only tenofovir (viread) entecavir (baraclude) interferon are
to know if you are clearing you need hbsag quantitative in iu/ml and to know if you are saf
interferon+tenofovir+alinia+lamivudine (interferon+alinia lower hbsag to zero and this means hbv clerance, tenofovir+lamivudine will keeep hbvdna undetactable), you should clear hbv in 1-2 years

I was examined by my first doctor and advice me that I am not qualified for medication but my employment requires to pass this Hepa B case so I look for another doctor that could give me something for medication.. The doctor and give me Lamivudine(Zeffix)..
My question is; Is there someone in this forum that had experience with this level of UI/ml that been cured and how long?.. My employeer is waiting for my respond but I cant give them exact or approximate date when will cured..

so if an HBV-naive adult becomes infected with a lamivudine mutant and recovers, will he still get infected with the "original" versions of HBV?
regarding prophylaxis stefano, if one is tested and is negative for HBSAG in at least 3 occasions and weeks apart for each test and injected with a recombinant HBV vaccine, will that be a good sign?
