Avatar n tn My question is about my ideal weight. My goal started at 150 pounds, then 140, then 130, now I'm thinking my ideal would be 120. Should I be taking into consideration the weight of the hanging skin that I can't get rid of? Am I being realistic in shooting for 120?

Although you are really close to the lowest recommended weight range you can actually gain few pounds and be healthier in body weight distribution. Normally when there are recommended weight ranges you should stay in the middle as average.

Avatar f tn You should be shooting around -2 lbs a week. Keep in mind at first (when you have excess weight) you'll lose weight very quickly, and as you get skinnier it gets a little harder. If you ever find yourself at a plateau, where you're not losing anymore weight just drop your calorie intake a little more. Its as simple as that! I strongly strongly STRONGLY advise you do some workouts (arms legs chest etc) while you're doing this.

The ideal range for BMI is considered to be 20 to 25, and your BMI is right about in the middle of that range. No need to worry. Just eat healthy foods and get a healthy amount of exercise, and you will stay in the same weight range that you are now. If you grow in height, you will naturally gain weight, but it will be proportional. YOU'RE PERFECT!

Im concerned Im overweight but not sure if its healthy weight or not? I made an appt for this week to get blood work done to figure out if it is a thyroid or some type of hormonal problem. Avatar n tn Thank you for mentioning this. I'm not a overly large person in my opinion but every time I take the BMI it tells me I'm overweight. My family, friends and coworkers say I look fine for my height. I know I have a larger bone structure because I can't get bracelets to slide over my hands, I can't wear anklets and I can wear blazers unless I have them altered to fit after I buy them because my shoulders are wide.

Over 200 is Diabetic numbers. But other things can factor in, like if you are sick. Again, I am not a Doctor. I just I look up a lot of diabetic stuff as its in the family. I worry I will develop it. I stress myself, so if I see places I can ease other peoples minds until they can see a Dr, I am happy to do it.

Is you weight in an ideal range? All of these things can help your liver function better. If your Cirrhosis is caused by something that can be cured, do it. If your Cirrhosis is progressing, do what you can to stop the progression.
Avatar m tn my ideal is get to bmi 22 and waist less than 90 especially because i saw a research of interferon response and weight with best results in the range 60-70kg irrispective of bmi because those bodies could keep high interferon blood levels of people with higher/ower weight i also saw a post of an italin a girl very low weight, 166cm X 46kg, absolutely low weight, but she got rid of hcv by the second interferon shot.....

But I interpret these figures to mean that I don't have an RT3 problem? I then decided to try Armour again, for the simple reason that I still had a lot of it left...I started taking one 240 + 30 mg pill a day. I did not feel as good as before.

Avatar m tn Curious, was there any decrease in peg or riba prior to week 20 that may have caused what looks like a viral breakthrough? I'm assuming your're on weight-based riba, but how much riba are you taking and what is your weight? Also, what was your pre-tx hemoglobin and how has it been during treatment? If I understand you correctly, you took your last injection (number 24) on Friday and are continuing with the riba. So in effect, you are still on treatment, unless you don't inject this Friday.

Avatar n tn I want to see if they will notice anything. I'm currently at 212. My ideal weight is around a max of 179. But, my bf% is well under 20%. In act it is around 15. But the problem areas are still there. No matter what I do the problem areas remain. I'll be running the 23 day plan. I hope this will get me where I need to be.
919881 tn?1243660771 As you said you aren't experiencing too many side effects - I simply cannot cannot cannot understand why they would advise you to give up at stage 4 cirrhosis (dont worry about the spelling it takes all of us a while to learn that one). 1,000 riba for someone of your weight sounds VERY light to me - I was 5'7 and 120 pounds and the doc gave ME 1,000 (should have been 800 but I asked for the one extra a day to make sure).
