If you google BMI calculator, you will find any number of programs that will let you enter your height and weight, and they give you your BMI. The ideal range for BMI is considered to be 20 to 25, and your BMI is right about in the middle of that range. No need to worry. Just eat healthy foods and get a healthy amount of exercise, and you will stay in the same weight range that you are now. If you grow in height, you will naturally gain weight, but it will be proportional.
Hi there and thanks so much for posting this question I would suggest that at your age you are careful with changes in your metabolism. What is metabolism? Metabolism is a collection of chemical reactions that takes place in the body's cells. Metabolism converts the fuel in the food we eat into the energy needed to power everything we do, from moving to thinking to growing. If you want to lose weight The safest amount of weight you can lose is anything from .5 to 2 lbs a week.
In order to lose weight, you need your calorie intake to be less than your total daily calories burned. You can use calorie calculator to estimate the calories you need to consume each day. The best way to lose weight is through proper diet and exercise. Try not to lower your calorie intake by more than 1,000 calories per day, and try to lower your calorie intake gradually.
I need you to state your age, sex, weight (in lbs or kg), and height in order for me to answer your question properly. Thank you.
TO come up with an average number we would need your weight, height and age. What is your diet like? Do you do any exercise and what? How active are you?
Please verify your height. Are you 57" or 5'7". Ideal weight is not based on age, alone. It's based on a calculation of current height, weight, activity level and age....... I can help you do that, if you like.
if you go to Mayo clinic online they have a calorie calculator. you can put in you height weight and level of daily activity, plus weither your looking to gain, lose, or maintain your current weight. And it will calculate how much calories you need to take in per day here is the link: http://www.mayoclinic.
Depends on your age, current weight, activity level, etc.. Not every woman who is 5'5" is the same, so the weight can vary.
My gender - male. My age is 22 years. My weight is 75 kilograms. My height is 172 centimeters. Exercise level - Little/no exercise. According to this calculator I consume 2064 calories/day (graph "maintenance"). If I enter the same parameters, but the other weight (65 kilograms). That calculator will output 1944 calories/day (graph "maintenance"). It turns out that in order to lose 10 kilograms I need to cut calories only on 120?

I'm a 15 years old girl my height is 155 cm and my weight is between 40 kg and 39 kg is that accepteble?
Hello, I am a 29 year old female, 5'4 and 131 pounds. I recently lost over 100 pounds in the course of a year through diet and exercise. (starting weight 244 in September of 2010). I have always been overweight, and now have a lot of excess skin, which is to be expected. My question is about my ideal weight. My goal started at 150 pounds, then 140, then 130, now I'm thinking my ideal would be 120.
Her weight is on the 90th percentile; however, her height is below the 3rd percentile for her age. She has a very small stature so in turn her weight appears very high. Her needs increase as she grows and then levels off after she stops growing (after 18 years old). For a 4-6 year old they need approximately 1700-1800 calories a day. If you are concerned about her weight then it is recommended to increase children's physical activities.
BMI calculator says I should loose more weight than I planned. I'm 5'9, 198 lbs and I want to get to 170. At 170 the online BMI calculator says I will still beconsidered overweight. Not sure I want to loose that much weight. any advice?
The doctor told me my weight was ideal of my age / height. I'm 5foot5 (or 5foot4) weight just under 9 stone. Unfortunately I don't know my BMI, but as you can see in my picture I'm honestly not big.
The ideal body weight is based on the person's height and body built. All these take into consideration when finding ones ideal weight.

The ideal body weight for your height (5ft 2in) is between 125 and 136.63 lbs. So your weight is fine. If you are worried about it you can just start getting involved in school sports or if that is not your thing, just start walking for 1/2 or more a day. It never hurts to be more fit!

Given your height of 5'4", a body weight of about 146 lb. would give you a BMI of about 25, which would put you at the top of the range of what is generally considered an appropriate weight.
