Avatar n tn Your ideal weight depends on your age, as well as your height and weight. A child's ideal weight will be different from that of a teenager and a teenager will be different from that of an adult. There are a variety of exercises that will burn fat.
15977349 tn?1444392162 The doctor told me my weight was ideal of my age / height. I'm 5foot5 (or 5foot4) weight just under 9 stone. Unfortunately I don't know my BMI, but as you can see in my picture I'm honestly not big.
Avatar f tn Please verify your height. Are you 57" or 5'7". Ideal weight is not based on age, alone. It's based on a calculation of current height, weight, activity level and age....... I can help you do that, if you like.
Avatar n tn I want to know if my weight is correct for my age and height. (Male, 54, 5ft 5in, 145 pounds, Asian Indian). I'm a marginal diabetic (excellent control with 1/2 tablet of 1 mg metformin at night). I walk 40-60 min every single day (3.5 mph), do 30 min of pranayama and 30 min of yoga asanas on alternate days and 30 min of dumbbell weight training on the other three days. Yet, my weight won't go down.
Avatar f tn Your weight is between the 50-25th percentile for your age. The weight you are at an ideal for your height. You do not need to lose weight. You can tone-up your body by exercising. Aerobic exercises would be good, such as walking, stair stepping, dancing, and biking. These exercises help your heart and body to stay healthy. Yoga is another form of exercise to try also.
Avatar f tn The ideal body weight for your height (5ft 2in) is between 125 and 136.63 lbs. So your weight is fine. If you are worried about it you can just start getting involved in school sports or if that is not your thing, just start walking for 1/2 or more a day. It never hurts to be more fit!
1626068 tn?1303756562 The BMI is a pretty good measure for ideal weight, but it's kind of broad and doesn't take into account a lot of factors. And just because you're the right weight according to the BMI doesn't mean you shouldn't eat healthy and exercise. :) People can be unhealthy and have a normal BMI. People can be healthy and have a high BMI. Everyone should aim for a healthier lifestyle. It's not just about losing weight. It's actually pretty fun and feels great!

Avatar f tn Hi there and thanks so much for posting this question I would suggest that at your age you are careful with changes in your metabolism. What is metabolism? Metabolism is a collection of chemical reactions that takes place in the body's cells. Metabolism converts the fuel in the food we eat into the energy needed to power everything we do, from moving to thinking to growing. If you want to lose weight The safest amount of weight you can lose is anything from .5 to 2 lbs a week.
Avatar m tn A normal body weight for any given height can be different for everyone, depending on their constitution, bone mass, and other factors. Nevertheless, there are a few ways to find out if you are in a "normal/healthy" range: 1. The body mass index (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_mass_index) Based on your data, your BMI appears to be around 29.9, which is generally considered to be very overweight. 2.
Avatar f tn Shorter women will need to aim for a lower weight than taller women, it means shorter women need to exercise and eat less more than taller women do. Commit to regular exercise to help you get in shape and reach your fitness goals. To lose or gain weight, adjust your daily caloric intake according to your ideal body weight. Step 1 Determine what your goal weight should be.
Avatar m tn Meant to say "waist", not weight :) So, if your height is 70 inches, than your waist (no sucking it in :) ) should be no more than 35 inches. BTW I doubt you lost 4lbs of fat today, probably most of it is water weight. Best to lose weight gradually anyway -- like 1-2 lbs per week. Not sure what your nurse means by "make no diff".
Avatar f tn The ideal body weight is based on the person's height and body built. All these take into consideration when finding ones ideal weight.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, I'm trying to loose weight... I weight 151lb and would like to weight between 120lb and 110lb. I'm 5'4 with a BMI of 25.92kg/m2 and Im 19 years old.... Oh, I'm also breast feeding, I had my son 3 and a half moths ago. So here are my questions.... Is the weight that I want healthy for me? Could I reach my goal in 60 days? Can I actually do that insanity work out? (Cause. I just got it.
Avatar f tn Given your height of 5'4", a body weight of about 146 lb. would give you a BMI of about 25, which would put you at the top of the range of what is generally considered an appropriate weight.
676912 tn?1332812551 Just out of curiosity...this is a babies/kids thread. I know there's growth charts, and weight charts but how old is/are your child(ren) and what's their height and weight? Just curious of the ranges of children by age...actually I really just want to know if Elijah towers over anyone else's kid, lol...he's so much taller than all the babies in our play group...
Avatar n tn BMR means Basal Metabolic Rate. It calculate how many calories you would burn in a day if you do nothing but rest. It shows the minimum amount of energy required by body for normal functioning.
Avatar n tn I would definitely ask your pediatrician to have her seen by a pediatric endocrinologist, it may indeed be early puberty, the dheas is a hormone that the adrenal gland makes and is a sign of early but almost normal variation of the adrenal gland maturation process that can occur in this age range in some kids.
Avatar f tn I think I am about 1.54m tall, I will look it up, thanks.
2095187 tn?1333091434 Your weight is actually low for your age and if you want to grow taller, please do not go on a diet to lose weight. The average weight for your age and height is 115 pounds. If you think you look fat, then I would exercise as it is a way to tone muscles instead of dieting to lose weight. I don't think you are fat. The pictures in magazine are air brushed digitally on the computer to make girls look thinner than they are in real life. http://www.chartsgraphsdiagrams.
18428579 tn?1464968484 If yes how much should i lose. If no, what is my ideal wight. If 55 kg is not my ideal weight, what is my ideal weight?? I wanna lose. Because i have 3-4 slim friends who are taller than me but around my weight.
Avatar f tn I suggest buying a heart rate monitor. Figure your heart rate by this formula, The Karvonen Formula is a mathematical formula that helps you determine your target heart rate zone. The formula involves using your maximum heart rate (MHR) minus your age to come up with a target heart rate range (which is a percentage of your MHR). Staying within this range will help you work most effectively during your cardio workouts.
Avatar n tn She is now 10 years old and and has been taking it for about 7 months. She is very short and did not need her period to start and then loose out on precious growing time. My question is this..she has put on 15 lbs since she has started the lupron and is wearing a size 16 dress in girls. She weighs 95 and is 4 feet 5 inches. The doctor is hoping to get her to 4 feet 11 inches by delaying her puberty. Her biological mother is 4 feet 10.
2100308 tn?1388496839 I'm not a 100% sure, but I've heard RE's prefer you are not under or over weight for your height. I would just check with your RE if that's a problem. Best of luck to you w/ IVF!
