My Dr. said if he likes chicken then give him chicken 7 nights a week. The fruits and veg are only to train him to eat them when he is older. He said so long as he gets protein it doesn't matter. Feed him cheese, yogurt, chicken, fish, meats. The never fail with my son is cucumber, raisins and watermelon.

His predicted final height is 5'8" which I know doesn't sound totally terrible but this isn't his full biological potential.

Depending on the excersise you do (dishes and vacuming can burn calories) you need to burn more calories than you consume to loose weight. There are alot of websites that will chart it for you. example: if you consume 800 calories a day you need to excercise to burn 1000 calories. This pattern will drop weight. Does that make sense.

Hopefully that will help ‘enrich’ his meal choices. Let him make milkshakes (ice cream, fresh fruit or frozen fruit, and milk blended) which will provide additional calories, protein, and vitamins and minerals. Lead by example by eating healthy yourself. The most important thing is to RELAX.

The diagnosis as of now is weight gain due to stress and age related. I am staying on top of it and will post if anything happens differently. I went from 175 to 185 the first time and then continued to gain despite following the program and exercising. When I went off the med, the weight began to drop and I made it down below 200. I started it again in February this year and within 3 weeks, here came another 10 pounds and it's been steadilly going up ever since.
