Even aspirin can cause gastric bleeding. My vet used to recommend it for his arthritic dog patients until one strange case happened. After the first dose, the dog became sick and started vomiting blood, and by the time the owners got him back to the vet the dog died. The aspirin literally ate a hole right through the stomach.
I've used tylenol on my dogs (per vet instructions) in the past for early onset hip dysplasia, but found it not all that effective.

Dentist just say wait, but I can’t bear pain in my lower front 5 teeth’s, and dentist doesn’t care to do anything. I am on ibprufen 800 3 times a day, already completed antibiotic and steroid dosage for last 2 weeks, but no improvement. Still can’t open mouth much to eat proper food and feels pain 24 by 7. Any suggestions?
I just came from my dentist and he suggested I take 3 ibuprofen 4 times a day for 3 days to see if it would calm the nerve of a tooth. If it does not, then he suggests a root canal. My main concern is I'm afraid of the stomach problems this might cause. Do I have need to worry? I also take omeprazole to calm my stomach, so am I defeating the purpose? Thank you for your time.
Its toxicity depends on the route of administration, duration, exposure and dosage. The route of administration is the most important determinant of toxicity. I hope this helps.
m 44 a month and a half ago I had my period which I noticed was way too light(just spotting) but too painful and prolonged, finally stopped and had 3 weeks rest but almost 2 weeks ago on Monday I started again which it seemed normal bled normally for 3 days an on Wednesday started passing clots stayed like it till this last tuesday and by Wednesday morning had stopped wich btw on Tuesday morning I had taken Ibuprofen but for yesterday at night I was bleeding again and passing big clots, what to
i take clonazepam and it reacts differently depending on how severe your anxiety is. if im super anxious at night i take .5mg and it keeps me covered in the night and il have to take another one in the morning. however if i take 2 .5mg at night (which sometimes i have becuase my anxiety was over the roof) i am usually good until midday the next day. so i think that 1.25 of clonazepam will keep you covered. it all depends on how anxious you are at that time.
Sweetie, there is nothing that you can take that is "a night time formula" that would have that much Ibuprofen in a dose. You shouldn't exceed the recommended dosage and if you took something that said it was a night time formula then you probably took something with diphenydramine in it. What are the active ingredients on the bottle? What strength per dose? 2900mg of Ibuprofen plus anything for sleep in not good. You need to tell someone what you took before you go to sleep.
vitamin B1, 6,12,folic acid and omega 3 fatty acid may help nerve injury recovery. Systemic administration of corticosteroid for a week may reduce post op inflammation. However, if symptoms of nerve injury persists more than 6weeks, pharmacologic management is warranted. Going back to oral surgeon to have a post op exam is advised.

However, after prolonged administration, abrupt cessation of treatment may produce nausea, headache, and malaise. Gradual dosage reduction has been reported to produce, within two weeks, transient symptoms including irritability, restlessness, and dream and sleep disturbance. So, a gradual reduction is mandatory.

1) At my age 69.5 and a daily dosage of 4 ibuprofen OR 3 naproxen, do I have to worry about kidney disease resulting from a "total lifetime dose" of ibuprofen/naproxen ??
2) At recommended dosage and over a lifetime, does acetaminaphen have less potential to harm me than either ibuprofen or napproxen?
3) Is there a "total lifetime dose" concern for acetaminaphen?

You should see a doctor for advice and a diagnosis, before your symptoms worsen. Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can help reduce fevers and pain (read the directions on the label for dosage information), but you should still be seen by a doctor in order to determine what the problem is. I hope you start feeling better soon. Get plenty of rest, and keep drinking healthy fluids to stay hydrated.
