Avatar n tn He is such a nut that afterward said that Saint Peter gave him the winning lottery numbers and he forgot them. He was not "out" long any of the times and it has not effected him anymore then anything else in life. He has a pacemaker defibrilator and is going to have to go in for a 2nd oblation. Pray for him. He is not a cat with 9 lives but i am counting on another one anyway.
Avatar m tn Hi! There are plenty of sites on the net where you can calculate your risk of a heart attack or sudden death depending on age, lipid profile and all the other usual suspects. What I cannot find anywhere, however, is the risk in someone who has CAD already. I am 58 (almost 59), not overweight, BP is low at 115/75, non smoker. My LDL used to be high at over 160 but my HDL has always been very high as well (around 65 - 70).
1090984 tn?1463773450 My father passed away of heart disease at the age of 59. Not a heart attack. He had a triple bypass at the age of 46 and his heart gave out after 13 years. My mother was a diabetic and subsequently an amputee. She passed at 68. Now at 57, I have CAD, PAD, suffer with heart spasms and have lost the vision in one eye from plaque in the artery to the retina. Sometimes I wonder if I should even drive anymore. But I persevere! I am not willing to give up or get discouraged by this.
Avatar n tn We had an echo, renal scan and ECG on 14th July which all showed no problem wit vital organs including her heart. Determined to know what was happening, I stayed wit her from 14th – 16th July and the BP went down from 120/90 on 14th July to 100/60 on 16th July. The problem is that the medics are saying she has high BP and have placed her on anti hypertensive drugs (Atenolol(100mg daily) and Nifedipine (I tablet daily)) which they said had suppressed the BP.
1460652 tn?1340252330 I have lost over 30 lbs recently and about a month ago was taking off the meds and my bp for the most part is controlled without them but its seems that me worrying that my bp will spike back up has caused my anxiety to come back full force. It seems that I constantly worry about having a heart attack r stroke.
Avatar f tn I don't have the heart to kick anybody here but I do frequent another political message board that is "no holds barr" where I may insert my foot into somebody's bum if they start up on me tonight.
Avatar n tn It has been hard to face the fact that something is going to take me, and it could be a stroke. BUT, if I don't exercise, and I get fat, it could just as easily be diabetes or a heart attack or depression. I listen to my body so much more now, and I guess maybe I am taking a chance, but deep down, I believe that fitness saved my life in the first place ("we usually find this in an autopsy") and that staying fit (carefully) is the best thing I can do live a long happy life.
7622073 tn?1409088858 Hey Charlene I hope Sammie has been feeling better and managing to hold her food down. Everyday is a quest to find the winning combination. Darbie has turned back on to the whole milk plain yogurt, so I'm grateful for that. I'm going to remember the tapioca when needed! Darbie has an appt Aug 11 for CKD bloodwork. At this time, I sense she may be fighting a UTI, so I have a urine sample ready to go.
Avatar f tn Your story breaks my heart as I lost my 14-year-old dog, Chica, to this exact disease on January 4. The vomiting is so awful to watch in the end as it just goes on and on and on... There are many anti emetic meds to try. Has your vet not prescribed anything? Reglan (metoclopromadine) is a very cheap medication, unfortunately, it is also metabolized in the kidneys, so a too high dose results in toxic levels in the blood.

1797925 tn?1341099804 If Adam Feuerstein has his facts straight and knows what he is talking about, it's a sad story. Bristol holds one half of the winning combination to cure HCv and Gilead holds the other half.
Avatar f tn I don't understand why when this is all I want for us and he is finally showing such courage that I feel so tense, nervous as hell and so anxious about our future. I love this man with all my heart and he I, I want nothing more for our love to know a healthy context and I am so so proud of his steely grit and determination to reclaim his life.
503727 tn?1210442710 By focusing on your symptoms, you only make them worse because you become more aware of them (racing heart - why is it racing? am I going to die? Pass out?...then all of a sudden your heart is beating even faster). So, you've got to adjust your train of thought. The best way is to find a therapist that deals with anxiety, buckle down and just go. I hope this helped. Best of luck.

Avatar n tn Not sure if the numbers are great or not but will go back on Wed to make sure numbers are going up. Will not find out for another two weeks if we are having one or twins. Either way we have been blessed this day. Good luck to all and lots of baby dust.
Avatar n tn About 3 years ago, I started having some toes go numb; then last summer I began to limp and had small red dots on the bottom of my feet especiall my left foot. I had several blood tests, went to a number of specialists and then finally to a neurosurgeon. She confirmed neuropathy but could not tell the reason. My doctor called Hopins where after a thorough testing - blood and electrical - I was told that I had b6 induced neuropathy.
