38w2d my German shepherd,has been getting more and more attached to me he will follow me around every where I go in the house and sleep next to me to matter where I am. Im worried if he is going to hurt the baby because hes so attached to me or is he going to just be very protective around the baby? Any one else have any problems with there dogs ?
He is 3 years old, a german and australian shepherd mix. He has not been fixed because one vet says that he has a heart mumur and the price was outrageous!! The other vet said he didn't have one but it was still the same price. I looked into Humane Ohio but they need proof from the vet he doesn't have a heart murmur. But now we don't have the money so... that's where we are now.
I just adopted a 3year old German shepherd, and I'm calling vet in morning but until then can someone tell me what they think? In the 24 hrs I've had her I noticed she's very tired,she's slept A LOT! She's not eating but is drinking. She seams to get worn out easy,she's breathing heavily. When sleeping she breaths normal. She's making a sound ever so often like she's trying to clear her throat??
I have a 11 month old german shepherd whos left ear was fine until he started teething now it is still down it goes up and down while I take him on walks will up come back up on its own. The right ear is fine he is a very large long haired german shepherd does this have anything to do with the ear problem.

She is healthy, eats well, within her weight range for age and breed size, energetic, gets proper exercise. I just want her shots.

I have a 3 year old male German Shepherd who is very active. We take him swimming 4 times a week and a walk for an hour per day. He has been perfectly healthy. Suddenly he is limping off his right hind leg. There are no cuts,swelling,etc...Just a pretty bad limp for the past 2 days. This morning, it looks as though it has worsened. Can anyone out there give me some type of prognosis as to what this may be ?
I have a german shepherd dog since he was 2 months and now is 17 months. Last month went to the vet for check up routine. She said he is underweight. 21kg for his age was not satisfactory. prescribed some vitamins. He always looks well and is running and jumping in the yard almost all day long. I hate to lock it in his small house, because he is friend of the kids around and I love to see him playing free. Any suggestion to bring him to 30kg as suggested by the vet? Is it the right weight?
My 10 year old german shepherd started limping. The vet assumed because of her age that she has arthritis and prescribed Rimadyl. It didn't help plus I have read bad things about what this drug can do to a dog. I was petting her the yesterday and noticed that on one side it feels as if two bones are there and maybe come apart. It does not feel this way on the other side.
My german shepherd is 11 months old. She started not eating 3 days ago. All she does is drink water and then vomit it back up. She is not going #2 either. We cant go away anywhere cos no-one will look after our dogs lol we have a lurcher cross whos 8 (shes fine but mardy) and a german shepherd whos 3 and hes absolutly nuts!! We have tried for the past 3 years to go away with the dogs but when we try book and mention our german shepherd they say no!! People in the UK are very judgemental toward certain breed of dogs!
My 12.5 year old German Shepherd/mix, laying in a recliner, suddenly started yelping two nights ago and then went to the floor hard. I went to him and he just looked at me, my first thought was that he had a nightmare, that's happened. After a bit he got up and walked around like he was fine and laid on the mat by the door, I assumed he was ok and went to bed, he was fine before this and seemed to have come out of it after. My husband found him dead in the morning.
How have you ladies introduced your fur baby to your newborn baby? I have 2 yr old German Shepherd and she's never been agressive. I'm just wondering if there's something I should do to prepare her.

I have a 10 year old German Shepherd. A couple weeks ago we also had a pomeranian. They didn't get along very well but he dealt with him. We had the pomeranian for about 4 years when he suddenly got out of the house at night and never came back. He was very old and we think he left to die. This happened probably 2-3 weeks ago. Around 1-2 weeks ago my German Shepherd stop eating. He would go every now and then to eat some on his dry food. He soon left it there for a couple days.
I Had went to the store yesterday, and I was gone no longer than 20 minutes, I came home and found my 2 year old German Shepherd dead. Earlier that day he was fine, playful and nothing was wrong, there was no blood, no vomiting, or any signs that he had been hit by a car...It happened so quick , I dont know what happened...
