449946 tn?1205493932 I was told my two doctors that I am suffering from Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and I would like to know what the symptoms are.
1890554 tn?1322681648 but after thoroughly listening and examining me, he decided to send me to a Psychiatrist. I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety disorder and major depression!!!
Avatar n tn anyone know of any anxiety support groups in the area or anyone interested in participating in one? I would love to get together once in awhile with people who understand these things. If I get some responses than I would be more than happy to organize something. Let me know if you're interested.
Avatar m tn I over-analyze everything such as my pulse, funny feelings in my arms, my eyesight blurring, etc. I went to a few doctors and they told me I have generalized anxiety disorder and panic disorder. They prescribed me pills to take but I quit them all because they all cause horrible sexual side effects that just create more problems.
Avatar n tn Have you been diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder? That symptoms that you are presenting with are consistent with this type of disorder. Yup ... Lexapro & Zoloft are both indicated for this type of disorder. Are you having success with Zoloft?
Avatar m tn He has dx of ADHD combined type (mild), and generalized anxiety disorder which seems pretty bad. He has been refusing to go to soccer (states too many people), shopping and trying to refuse to go to school. He currently see's a psychiatrist. His treatment plan was to have us get our son to school everyday, where he sat in the office and did his work. The school seemed at a total loss of what to do with him.
Avatar f tn that it is harder to transfer it form female to male than male to female along with the usual stats about the high number of people who already have antibodies against type 1. I also did a TON of research on both kinds of HSV and during my research I had read online I came across man people who said that after their first outbreak their hsv1 came back in the form of small cuts that resembled paper cuts. SO, I got a few of those from time to time and just assumed they were a mild breakout.
Avatar n tn For example, headaches, tingling sensations, feelings that i might have a panic attack, always thinking somethings wrong with me, and their has been some problems with my bowel movements which i heard can be cause by anxiety. so any answers, help, or support would be wonderful. Thanks.
Avatar n tn I've been suffering from generalized anxiety since 1998 and now a clonazepam dependent. Feel better now a days but I am still desperately searching for my real self, I mean, the way I was when anxiety was not yet controlling my mind and body. Don't you feel it too? That the REAL YOU is not there anymore, no where to be found? Don't you always say to yourself, "This is NOT me!" What do you think, guys, will we ever get back to our own world before?
Avatar n tn It is not unusual for a person to display both a Mood Disorder (such as Depression or Bipolar Disorder) and an Anxiety Disorder (such as Social Phobia or Generalized Anxiety Disorder)
299912 tn?1341626700 And I must admit that I am a slight bit embarrassed about this, but not ashamed. I have had generalized anxiety disorder with panic attacks since I was 22 years old. While it was extremely horrible in the beginning, the symptoms have gotten better, but have not gone away. I rarely have panic episodes anymore, unless I am in a specific situation (more on that in a minute). However, I do have the typical overall anxious feeling for most of the day 2 or 3 days a week.
Avatar n tn About a year ago I had a couple panic attacks one night out of the blue. Since that time I have been battling anxiety. After lots of doctors (convinced myself it was a heart issue) and lots money spent on them, I am still trying to find the "root" cause or any triggers but can't. Being COMPLETELY honest, I can't find not one. The feelings (I've been told are anxiety) come on for no reason and are getting worse.
Avatar m tn If you have proof of that, I find it strange that you would make such assertions anonymously, on an online support group for patients, instead of through the appropriate professional medical/legal channels. So, if you are willing to identify yourself by your real name and medical registration number, that might be the first step to make your claims come across as slightly plausible. Finally, may I ask if English is not your first language?
Avatar f tn Hi, I have been diagnosed with anxiety and I am currently taking 10mg Lexapro which doe not seem to be helping. I have really bad physical symptoms and I think there is something else medically wrong with me, even though the various health test that I've had all came up negative. My question is, does anyone of you suffering from anxiety feel constantly tired all of the time, feel like you are out of your body, like on drugs or living in a constant dream? I guess it's called depersonalization?
Avatar m tn Hi I have had panic attacks/anxiety for about 6 months now and in the past month they have gotten extremely worse. When i read your thing it felt like i was reading something i wrote.. i too am 20 yrs old and i weigh about 105. I lost weight due to the anxiety. I have been in and out of the doctor now for a month and like you , everything is normal. My symptoms feel like something is seriously wrong though and i also thought i had cancer, diabetes and everything else in the world!
Avatar f tn As a long-time sufferer of generalized anxiety, I know that some strange and crazy things can happen to your body. Lately, I have been experiencing some pin like sticks throughout my body. Not often...not that painful, but it does have me concerned. It will feel like someone has just stuck a stick pin very quickly onto my skin, then it goes away. Does anyone else experience this?
Avatar m tn This isn't really a question, it's more or less a walkthrough of what I am going through with anxiety problems and alcoholism in hopes that it might help someone out there. Had I read online about how common anxiety attacks after a night of drinking are, maybe I could have started my road to recovery sooner, and maybe some of you can.
Avatar f tn So I'm a 21 girl that suffers from generalized anxiety. 2 months ago I got this tattoo I hated from the beginning and a friend of mine did it for me at my other friends house he was clean about it. He used a clean needle, he opened up the needle infront of me and soo on and washed the machine. For some odd reason my anxiety made me feel like I was infected with hiv. So three weeks after I got the tattoo I went to go get tested for hiv and it can out negative so I let it go.
480448 tn?1426952138 ONE important thing to remember that I learned, and have never forgotten is that these two effects CANNOT exist without anxiety.....but that anxiety can exist without these sensations. Derealization is basically a change, an alteration in the PERCEPTION or experience of the external world....in other words...everything LOOKS very strange, very "unreal" (movie like, in my experiences). Depersonalization is a subjective experience of unreality of one's self. So the difference is...
Avatar f tn I doubt you had anything more than slight hyperventilation if that scam worked for you. The rest of your symptoms sound like run-of-the-mill Generalized Anxiety Disorder - don't worry. See a psychologist or counsellor and get referred to a psychiatrist if that doesn't work. One word of advice: stay away from SSRIs.
Avatar f tn Hello, I was on clonazepam for about a year for generalized anxiety disorder. I am also on citalopram and buspirone. I decided to taper off of the clonazepam with my Dr's supervision. I went from 0.25mg twice daily to zero mg in about 5 months. I have been off of the med for about 2 weeks. At first I had extreme insomnia, which is now improving, but now I just feel "mentally uncomfortable" ALL THE TIME.
Avatar m tn I've had lots of strange, weird thoughts since I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and panic disorder, and I can't work out what it is I'm so anxious about all the time. I've had strange thoughts of harming myself, a lot, and even harming others, but as weird as it is it's all just a symptom of anxiety. It can do strange things to us physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Avatar f tn at first i believed something else was wrong with me when i had my first anxiety attack but when i read online that it was just in my head then i got that fear out of me.
176741 tn?1295237589 I'm talking about bigger things...about your job, your education, your income, etc... Especially why lie to an online community of people who know you but don't really 'know' you? I've seen people here get caught in lies before, and I'm watching another one unfold right now . I just don't get it. Any thoughts?
Avatar n tn The relationship is full of expectations now and you admit to being a bit overwhelmed by them and feeling some generalized anxiety. Before heavily medicating yourself I'd try relaxing, taking an easy day together, playing around sexually and not plan on intercourse. Make your sexual life less demand and orgasm driven. Enjoy touching and don't keep continuing this sequence of high pressure moments. See if you start to have easy, frim hard ons again.
1390847 tn?1344661068 If i have a specific anxiety, not generalized...but have a lot of stress in my life can i get anxiety attacks about my specific anxiety even though i dont need to? I guess that is a really confusing question the way I phrased it. I have a really REALLY severe phobia of throwing up. Tomorrow (monday) I have a huuuuge presentation I need to do infront of everyone at school and I have to talk for 45 minutes straight or else I cant graduate with my class in 2 weeks. As Im sitting here practicing.
Avatar n tn I have had anxiety for 7 years now, and over the years at one point or another I have been absolutely CONVINCED that I have heart disease, heart arrhythmia, brain anyrism, leukemia, lymphoma, esophogeal cancer, colon cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Autonomic Neuropathy, Deep Vein Thrombosis, Pulmonary Edema, Hyperthyroidism, and yes even AIDS! I struggle with health anxiety daily and have Generalized Anxiety Disorder as an aside to that.
Avatar n tn Cancer in-fact can cause neuropathy symptoms as well and the general risk for cancer is ten times that of ALS. If you do a search of “anxiety stress muscle twitches”, people by the 1,000s, online are attesting to having Benign Fasciculation Syndrome, a disturbing but not harmful condition of muscle twitching and mild spasms and many were terrified they had ALS due to med searches they conducted online.
1001582 tn?1272085463 is it possible u have GAD?Generalized Anxiety Disorder?google this and read.Ever been to a good psychologist or substance abuse counselor and been honest about your liquid chemical use?sometimes the chicken came b4 the egg........anxiety disorders and ppl self medicate to alleviate the symptoms!
Avatar f tn But it is negative. Be careful in looking for support online. I am sure you may find a forum of people who test negative but "feel" they are hiv positive. Do not go there. Im being tough on you because that is what you need to hear. The mind can be a powerful thing. And you may overthink everything that is happening to you. All i can tell you is you are HIV negative. Hopefully you will accept that and as soon as you do. You will be able to move on.
