975514 tn?1325001538 Hi I'm 27 and as diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2000. I was lucky because although I had had symptoms pretty quickly because my doctors PA happened to be an expert in it. I didn't get through everyone's posts because this is my first time here but I would like to share something with everyone. Be very careful when taking any of the tramadol, ultram, type drugs and anti depressants at the same time.
1216899 tn?1288573925 I'm going to list my symptoms, so that others may have some insight, in layman's terms. I hope anyone else with the deficiency would also post theirs.

Weird twitching and like spasm feeling in my nervous system, spasm like feeling in my esophagus, trouble sleeping because of the constant pain all over my body. My ID dr.
Avatar n tn as this can do permanent damage to the nerve cells in your central nervous system(brain and apinal cord), cardiopulmonary system and smooth muscle in your digestive tract( mainly the large intestine as these are the areas of the body where opiate receptors are widely spread. Tapering as slowly as possible will almost eliminate withdrawal symptoms. Once you stop taking them you will probably feel some withdrawal symptoms so always taper as slowly as possible toward the end. xoxo- D.
Avatar n tn This is the first Web site I've found where there are people with the same symptoms that I have. I am a 32 year old male who lives in Seattle, WA. I have Thalassemia minor and suffer mainly from ongoing fatigue. I am ALWAYS tired, no matter how well I eat or what vitamins I take. Doctors tell me that I'm fine and "just need to avoid Iron and do some aerobic exercise." I would exercise if I had the energy to. It's comforting to see postings from people all over the world.
Avatar n tn Fatigue, my legs have knots, I have headaches days on end. If you touch my hair it hurts. These symptoms can not all be in my head(so to speak). I have joint and body pain all the time. I work on a computer all day 8 hrs or more, I think my headaches and fatigue may be related to my work. I take additional supplements daily and have for about 1 year. Has anyone else had the same symptoms along with the indentions and have they increased in size?
Avatar n tn As far as I know, the buprenorphine is not available for any extended type of maintenance, mainly because it's only in injectible form so far... in other countries it's in pill form and liquid drops used under the tongue.... family doctors there can humanely help people detox and simply write refills in tapering doses. So far, the latest news here seems to be that family doctors are presently being trained to dispense the 3 injections and that should come later this year.
Avatar n tn I have had the same symptoms in my lower left leg. I Googled the problem and found your comments. I am going to the Dr. on Monday. I will post what ever I find.
Avatar n tn The thinking, which sounds logical to me, is that opiates replace the brain's natural endorphins and the brain stops making them in favor of the opiates. You stop taking the opiates and there's no endorphins waiting in the wings to step in and make you feel OK. So you feel like **** instead. The Lysine is what your brain needs to make more endorphins and other neurotransmitters; the B6 is a catalyst in that process.
Avatar f tn Any thoughts??? Some symptoms...very crampy, moody, and wierd taste in my mought. A little sick to my stomach this afternoon. Uggg...this waiting game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Avatar f tn I've read that Sarc runs in families, too... As far as possible symptoms would go, these are the things I think might qualify for Sarc - would love to know what you think. -"a few hypodense lesions" on my spleen 2.5 years ago (CT scan), "too small to characterize but may represent cysts or granulomas". -MRCP 1 year ago showed "an area of poor enhancement in the liver, possible hemangiomata".
Avatar f tn She has odd pains going through her arms and legs-she can't explain if they are in her muscles -sometimes the pain is in her joints. The odd thing is the pain comes on suddenly, very intense and only last for 2-4 min. She also has sever stomach pain. The doctors say the pain is in the wall cavity of her abdomen. It is very intense-she doubles over. Sometimes it is on the right, the left or below her belly button. She is neauses a lot of the time. She has headaches, and feels drained.
329994 tn?1301666848 My ex is fighting me over child support, my mom is decling rapidly and I have had to do most of the stuff with and about her, my son who is going off to college is being extremely difficult, so although I am really sad to see him go, I might kick his butt out the door in August, and Jerry's daughters are being a pain in the ***, well one in particular.
Avatar f tn I'm sick and tired of being told to 'just learn to live with it' by doctors, and I'm tired of sitting on the sidelines while my friends run around and have fun like normal teenagers. Symptoms of a normal attack, in order: Cluster headache - 1-2 minutes Instant visual blackout, vision fades back in from the edges - 5-10 seconds Chronic dizziness and mild nausea - 20-30 minutes, or up to 3 hours Extreme fatigue - 6-8 hours Please, someone help me. I need to know what this is. I'm scared.
1290770 tn?1272079135 I was just diagnosed today with Fibromyalgia. The doc sent my blood in and will know by Thursday if everything else is eliminated, but she said she's pretty sure it's Fibro and "severe depression". She prescribed Cymbalta, which I started taking today (30mg for a week, then 60mg for two weeks, then go back to see how its going). Problem: I'm a self proclaimed hypochondriac, so after taking my first Cymbalta, I'm sitting here waiting to have a seizure or something.
Avatar f tn I feel tired a lot my house is a mess it takes me a week to clean only can clean a little at a time, cause fatigue sets in after 20 minutes. 1170694 tn?1285101109 What you describe can be a symptom commonly seen with Lyme disease as well. You may want to have this evaluated. Fibro is not commonly found in teenagers. But it can happen.
Avatar n tn I forgot to ask....... but I REALLY want to know. CAN STRESS really give me Neurological symptoms of Fibromyalgia??? I have a "type A" personality to put it mildly. I rarely relax. I am always busy and have alot of issues to deal with regarding people.: employees, teenagers, maintenance on many things breaking all around me. I am tired of being the "go to" guy. Yes I do have a crackberry also. I don't want to get on medication for depression. EVER. So...
1684282 tn?1582660848 There is an appropriate use for each and every medication on the market, including the strongest narcotics, which I used in my daily practice for controlling acute pain in postoperative patients. Some patients in intractable, chronic or cancer pain need to be on long term opiates under close supervision of a physician. However, pharmaceutical companies have been successful in persuading the FDA in not scheduling tramadol, also known by its brand name Ultram, as a non-controlled substance.

1571878 tn?1354953383 More importantly, I am 4 days clean of dextromethorphan aka DXM aka Robitussin aka a self-imposed prison. Like Emily has done for thousands lost in the fight against Tramadol, I would like to provide a space for those who are losing their lives to DXM. There's still time to fight, and we need to support one another. This is NOT A SPACE to debate the 'merits' of DXM use.
Avatar n tn I am 39 yrs. old. Onset of symptoms 5 years. First, Hysterectomy for level-2 dysplasia, then 3 months later, 3 UTI's in a row, then 1 month later, onset of sever leg pain, numbness, fatigue, over next few months, spreading to whole body. (worst in arms and legs.) PROFUSE the point of looking like I just got out of a shower. Weakness, progressing to loss of speech control (intermittantly), control of bladder lessened recently. DEBILITATING EXTREMITY PAIN.
Avatar n tn You must get kidney function tests done, adrenal gland function assessed, parathyroid gland function assessed, check the level of Vit B12 and electrolytes in the body and consider fibromyalgia and panic disorder as a diagnosis too. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Do discuss these options with your doctor and get the tests recommended. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar f tn I would also mention magnesium as this is a recommended supplement for migranes (magnesium is found to be low in many migrane patients). Other symptoms of magnesium deficiency include fatigue (but also insomnia) chronic pain, nausea, vomiting, heart rhythm problems. Magnesium is the most important co factor for vitamin D absorption. Vitamin B12 deficiency symptoms include extreme fatigue, nausea, vomiting, tachycardia, leg pain, low grade fevers, anaemia (a cause of low body temperature).
Avatar f tn Oh, I am in recovery and work a program with a sponsor, have a home group, go to plenty of meetings and yet I feel like a person that is a hypocrite. I was in an auto accident on December 29, 2006--it's been almost 3yrs. I suffer from pinched nerves, bulging disks and servere total back pain. I have been under a doctor's care for the past 3 years for the fibromyalgia pain and conditions and the spinal pain.
