Exercise routine p90x

Common Questions and Answers about Exercise routine p90x

exercise

Avatar f tn My dr always said to wait 6 weeks before starting to exercise again and even then to take it slow for another 6 weeks. After my second I started taking her for walks when she was only 5 days old. I was doing p90x around 4 or 5 weeks so that was way more than my dr wanted to see. For me and I think with any exercise program you should take cues from your body. Take it slow and don't push it. You need to ease back into a routine. I started with walking and worked my way up to heavy exercise.
Avatar f tn I just started triple therapy and generally I exercise pretty regularly and intensively. I don't think I'll be able to continue the intensity but really hope to continue exercising. Anyone out there who has been able to exercise while on the meds?
1571533 tn?1322947109 I am 2 yrs post op and am having issues find the right type of exercise for me....I recently lost some weight as my thyroid is maintained at a normal level with out meds...this is post op!! SO for the past yr I am hanging at this new weight, that is still not where I want to be, but is less then I was last yr this time..... Avatar m tn But I also went through this this week and thought I should share my exp 3weeks ago I went to my yearly exam and my tests came back with ALT of 80 and AST of 115. The blood was drawn 3 days after I did a session of p90x (exercise routine).
572651 tn?1531002957 I try and go twice a week which is just 2 hours of exercise a week so I know I should be working on increasing this very slowly but my gym routine is getting harder and very slightly longer each month but he knows about my MS so we are taking it carefully. I am also able to have treatments (and "treat" being the operative word) and have a massage from time to time which is heaven and is my reward for my effort in the dreaded gym!
98010 tn?1305903335 When you diet, you need to take more protein and less carbs. Dont be on only salads.Dont exercise to lose weight. Do it as a part of a routine, and for the fun of it. Change your lifestyle, your way of thining with respect to food, and you'll see a difference.
Avatar n tn yesterday was a good day as far as dieting and exercise. Although the routine was a bit tough to get through. I've started on week 2 of p90x and week 3 of diet... Man I can tell it's a lot harder for me to lose weight than 5 yrs ago... its sad getting old...
Avatar f tn I would take it slow though and also know that a new exercise routine can affect hormones and make ovulation a bit irregular initially. I would absolutely follow up with your doctor---- great that you didn't need a D&C but it is always best to get a clean bill of health after a miscarriage from the doctor. Then you can discuss a work out routine with them. They can also assure you that your weight did not have anything to do with the miscarriage.
939625 tn?1281471178 I need to start a new routine. I have been so tired at work. I rush out of the house in the morning. I need to start waking up earlier and making healthy snacks for work. I also need to start working out. When I used to work out I had so much energy and I weighed 105 now i weigh 120!!!! OMG I am only 5 feet tall. I have a gym that i belong to right near my work. Atleast if I start working out and getting healthier it will give me something to keep my mind off of ttc.
Avatar m tn Also I experience palpitations frequently, however they have mostly gone away since I started to exercise again. I have started p90x again (for the 2nd time), after beginning to run and I find virtually no chest pain or shooting pain in my arm. The tightness occurs rarely and it is not as bad at all.
Avatar m tn My question is, how do I gradually get back into the swing of dieting and exercise without killing myself? Thanks for listening. Also I have been thinking of doing the workout program, P90X, any good or bad news about it?
Avatar n tn Did you tell your command yet? I knkw from what my husband told me that the girls he knew that got pregnant got put on light duty of some sort. I would ask your doctor though just to make sure since I dont know what your workouts are like. I know you can still run though.
5427432 tn?1367813586 There are tons of diets out there for PCOS but honestly you have to find what works for you. My doctors said that conception will be hard for me but I'm still hopful. I have made it a point of losing the weight. Last year I was 235 pounds, I am now down to 188. Unfortunately I plateaued and have not been able to lose a pound in the last 5 months, even after doing P90X for 90 days! I'm starting a diet supplment this week (a friend who has PCOS tried it and had success).
Avatar m tn Please help me. I recntly lost around 50 pounds through dieting and exercise. I am still exercising but I am trying to maintain my weight. It seems like the only way I can do this is by avoiding anything social. I make sure to eat the same things everyday and workout. I feel like if I go hangout with my friends all they want to do is eat food. I know this isn't a healthy lifestyle for me, but I am too scared to do anything. I am getting depressed from all this.
Avatar f tn I'm used to working out every day..I used to do INSANITY and P90X but ever since I found out I'm pregnant, I've been nauseous and so exhausted that I've hardly worked out at all. I'm a couple weeks away from my 2nd trimester so I'm hoping to start working out again. Anyone on here working out while pregnant? What kinds of workouts are best?
Avatar m tn Frank, My neighbor whi is a Caption in the LA Fire Department invited me over one day to try out the P90X workout routine. We did the Plyometrics one that day and it was pretty awesome workout. I'm in pretty good shape and was a rower in college. Um that was 20 some years ago though but I wanted to get somewhat close to being in the shape I was. My gym had just closed down and I didn't really like the one we ended up going to but my wife loves taking yoga classes so we ended up there.
1286518 tn?1271861415 I do about 30 minutes of cardio and circuit train in the weight room. I started out using P90x as a boot camp but am doing my own thing now. I live in FL so lately I have been swimming for 20-30 minutes about 2-3 times a week for the cardio, other times I run around 2-3 miles, or eliptical for 30 minutes, or run 1 mile at 85%. Every other week I switch from heavy weight training with smaller sets (8 reps) to lighter weights (12-24 reps).
Avatar m tn Day 1.) I was starting a jump training routine (I've done this routine several times before). Warmed up fine, but 10 minutes into the jump training routine I got the same feelings described in day 2 below. Day 2.) (4:20pm in the day) I warmed up on a stationary bike just before going to a treadmill and my heart rate was at a steady 110/120 with no problems. While on the treadmill, I started off at 3.0 mph for 5 minutes, then up to 5.
Avatar f tn ) On average, I work 12 hours per day and it is extremely physical. I also have been doing the P90X program for the past 3 months. I am happy to say that I have not had any symtoms associated with these. At the same time, I am torn whether or not to pursue my "dream job" knowing that the syrinx, even though smaller, is still and will always be there. Any advice would be appreciated.
Avatar m tn Just remember that since you are one that is prone to muscle pain (like me) stretching, maintainence and a regular routine might be a good plan. And changing up the routine every other month if possible is even better, uses all muscles and deters boredom from repetition. If I'm not hypo, I can get away with less sleep a lot easier - you might find that too. And I think the body gets in sleep patterns that are hard to break.
Avatar f tn Beach body because I was lazy but does any1 no ov any foods they could advise me to stick to and a exercise plan I understand I may never get a beyonce body iv let myself get so overweight but just to be half the size I'd feel so much happier any advice really grateful xx
Avatar f tn im 243 pounds and just got married july 4th to a wonderful man ive been with 14 years. im 30 and want a nice figure. can anyone please help me. i cant seem to make myself exercise.
Avatar f tn I have been very active my entire life and consistently worked out five to six days a week. I did p90x in the Spring, but didn't watch my diet carefully and gained two pounds. After this, I stepped up to my workouts to an hour and a half, at least 6 days a week. I also joined My Fitness Pal online and had my calories adjusted to 1280 a day, according to my height, weight, and losing a pound a week. In the last month, I have gained another two pounds. I am beside myself with grief.
8592635 tn?1398865277 My symptoms got REALLY bad after a couple years of hard exercise. I started doing Power 90, P90x twice, Insanity, plus jogging 4-6 miles per day. Then my body just started giving out on me. The more I would push, the less I could do. And it wasn't that I was out of breath or pulling muscles or anything. My body just wouldn't do what I wanted.
Avatar n tn It is just so frusterating to be working so hard and to comit to something for so long and see no results, I am actually addicted to the exercise so I never think about giving up but I just get so depressed thinking about not seeing results. My friends husband is telling us to switch to cardio and weights mon-wed-fri and then just do cardio and aerobics on tues and thursdays. because weights everyday isnt good... is this true? What would you suggest for our work out plan.
1225331 tn?1333369369 One of your pics showed you walking (hiking with, I think) your dog. If you have stopped doing a regular upgraded exercise routine, it could be as simple as that. Please do address this with your doctors and revisit the PT plan so they can give you specific exercises to fit YOUR body and daily routine. Please keep us informed!
676912 tn?1332816151 So it can help establish a very healthy routine and way of eating. It also rewards you for exercise- you can earn extra points. The initial time investment is a bit while you learn portions. I preferred to track by ounces, so I just got a food scale. I would buy my snacks, and preportion them into ziplock baggies and write the number of points on the outside. After doing this for a week or 2, you start to get an idea of how much you should be eating.
1571533 tn?1322947109 If it is different , worse or new it could be from surgery....when do u go for ur MRI? Also, what is ur typical daily routine like?...I really believe some of us r doing too much too soon and causing symptoms to flare....we r all diff, but we all have to let time heal us and not follow a time table set by neone....so if u r not ready to work or do reg daily chores avoid them....too many Drs try to tell us by this time u should be doing this or that...
1498386 tn?1403031253 Natama, Just like you, once I started gaining weight (out of the blue, no change in lifestyle) NO amount of diet an exercise would cause lasting weight loss. In fact, the more I exercised and the less I ate, I CONTINUED to gain weight. I was ill, at one point, and didn't eat for SEVEN DAYS! Didn't lose an ounce!!! I did that 'Insanity' program, and GAINED 2lbs. I went back to my previous diet & exercise routine, and lost 6lbs in one week.
Avatar f tn 90% of wt loss comes from dieting, only 10% from exercise. I am nurse, and I couldn't help passing that along!
