571042 tn?1271450741 You get cardio, weights, core and yoga in the video so I can go for as long as I want. Each of the weekdays I also try to throw in some free weight lifting if I can. Like last night I did about 5 minutes of side abdonmial work and shoulder work. That is about it. I enjoy the working out....I have read it can help your mood so I am all for that. I am also hoping that it wil help make delivery easier and faster. Anything to get extra oxygen and blood to your baby is good. Good luck...

Avatar n tn Dear Friend, You haven't mentioned that What is your present weight & height. Telling you one thing that weight loss process is heavily dependent on your eating habits & proper exercise as you can digest your food. See weight loss is not a fly by night process. It takes time. common weight loss mistakes are as follows: (1) you have to fix your diet plan according to you(becuase u r obese) not according to a average person. this thing is often ignored by most of the people.
Avatar m tn Ive recently started taking Avanza (AD) and this has caused me to put on more weight. Like you said, exercise and diet is very important, its just the fatigue and lack of motivation that holds me back at this time but I will have to push myself soon or I will definately regret it. Thanks for posting on that subject, not the only one.
579258 tn?1250652943 As part of living with the Lupus and RA I am trying to change some of my diet and need to get into a regular exercise routine. With this reducing animal fats, sugar, caffeine and alcohol, and increasing my chicken and fish and omega 3 foods is necessary. I have also heard good results with people going gluten free and since my husband's psoriasis is bad right now we are both going on that diet for a while to see if it makes a difference for me. The exercise is the hardest.
Avatar n tn Don't get me wrong, it has helped my depression and anxiety tremendously, and I have decided that living free of that is worth the extra weight. But be aware, I know about 5 others who have taken it, and every one of them had significant weight gain.
649848 tn?1534637300 30 lbs by June is a pretty tall wish - that's only one month. The safest weight loss is approx 1-2 lbs/week. Feel free to join our discussions and get ideas to help -- there's always next year's anniversary to shoot for.............
Avatar n tn I started it again in February this year and within 3 weeks, here came another 10 pounds and it's been steadilly going up ever since. I diet and I exercise and it's the only thing that I changed to my routine. I'm now coming off Lexapro again. Because I have mild depression, my doctor suggested that I try ginkgo or St. John's wort. Since I can't take the latter, I'm going to try ginkgo. I'll post here on how the weight goes. I've been 2 days off the med now.
242532 tn?1269553979 3 Reasons You Won’t Lose Weight Today we are going to discuss the three reasons you won't lose weight: an overpowering urge to binge, an intense hunger when you know the hunger is not for food, and a mind filled with thoughts about food or worries about weight. The good news: once you learn to control the emotional eating that causes these three obstacles... well, then you can take off the weight -- and keep it off -- for good.

Avatar n tn they are also given a stricter diet plan besides just being told 1200 cal a day. I think with the phen u have to exercise some what to get the weight to come off, and I need energy to do it. I had lost about 10lbs and went back up about 4lbs so lost total about 6 lbs only since Nov 07'. I am looking for any help or advice!!!! Thanks for any advice.
Avatar f tn It is likely a muscle pull from your exercise routine, especially if you're doing sit-ups/crunches or twisting movements from the waist. As Libbey said, bowel issues can also cause belly & back pain as can urinary tract infections. In a young woman, however, a common cause of belly or back pain is ovarian cysts.
Avatar f tn One I am exercising again I can eat a bit more and still loose the weight. Routine and being organnised has helped me to stick to the new eating plan that I have created for myself. So this Christmas all I want to aim to do is keep the weight the same and only gain 1bls max. Then once school starts up and I am free again at home loose 2lbs a week so by end of Feb become 10 stone 7lb!!!! or close to that weight. then spend the spring maintaining the weight and being more and more active.
850033 tn?1239137014 You could get an exercise video, you could join a gym, buy some home exercise equipment (winters are long in Ohio, you'd use it!), even just do exercises while watching tv. Health weight loss plans can be found everywhere online. But do make sure it is a healthy weight loss plan. You are motivated to lose weight and that is great, but people who do radical diets generally can't maintain them. If you do, in fact, develop diabetes, you need to learn healthy eating you can live with ongoing.
1831849 tn?1383231992 On another board there is a thread labeled Exercise Accountability. It is members post brief descriptions of there ongoing exercise activity. Posting to the thread helps keep me motivated. I've started this journal to provide my MedHelp friends a place to do the same. My journal is open to all who care to post. :-) Kyle Today I walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes and covered 2.5 miles. I carried 3LB hand weights and did random arm exercises.
Avatar f tn com/ Although they charge for structured exercise plans, all the video workouts are available for free. You're bound to be able to find something that suits you.
Avatar f tn However, you should slow down and work up at a more gradual pace if your exercise routine causes you to feel pain. Ask your parents to sign you up for at least one session with a certified trainer if you need help developing a workout plan. Teen girls should get at least 60 minutes of cardio exercise per day, recommends the U.S. Office on Women’s Health.
3106038 tn?1346816769 I know to wait as long as my doctor says to work out, but when I get the okay I really want to do what I can to not only lose the weight but tone everything as well. So how do you get like a exercise routine and everything with a newborn, I feel like I won't have time to go to the gym. And I'm going to breast fee so hopefully that helps.
1936411 tn?1333835449 I already received a video from Shared Solutions and promptly forgot about it! I'll check it out this week ;) And thanks for turning me on to the ActiveMS site, it looks awesome.
649848 tn?1534637300 Way back in 1999 - 2000 i was gaining weight rapidly, depsite trying to exercise and watching what I ate. After 1 year of trying to find out what was wrong (I figured either I was eating in my sleep - not likely 'cause I was so fatigued I literally slept like the dead, or there was something wrong), I was finally diagnosed with being hypothyroid and PCOS. I was on synthetic thyroid hromone first, whcih helped but wasn't the whole answer.
Avatar f tn I do barre classes, because they have great pregnancy modifications. I also go to the gym and do cardio, core and lift weight. I don't do abs(crunches, etc), lift over 15 lbs or overhead arm workouts all per dr. I believe all have to do with that abdomen problem you can get later on, but keeping at least a light workout and core apparently helps for pushing, which makes sense. I am so glad i kept up with it and i think it helped me to not get sick once and stay energized.
Avatar m tn Its bad enough I cant even clean the dishes without having the reaction I have but I cant exercise at all, and no exercise, pus meds that cause serious weight gain. seems like a recipe for disaster. And Ive yet to figure out the cause for my anhidrosis an the treatments Ive tried for the symptoms Im having, have done nothing. Anyways, hopefully someone can shed some light and I apologize for making this a bit long and ranting.
184674 tn?1360864093 I can hear myself getting fat, but I am on a diet and get regular exercise. I thought my routine would rub off on him, but to no avail. We mention the issue to him and it further spins him out. We are currently seeking the help of a therapist concerning his issues..... Kids just aren't getting the exercise they used too. Blame the parents, blame the school system, blame the food choices.... blame whoever you want if it makes you feel better. Push for P.E.
Avatar m tn Dr Lustig talks about the benefits of exercise on his video Sugar The Bitter Truth and Dr Hirani has posted the highlights which is great as I don't have to lol... "The real benefits of exercise: Exercise improves skeletal muscle insulin sensitivity. Your body will produce less insulin which is a good thing. Avatar m tn I have been seeing Chiropractors for most of my adult life (I am now 49), am physically active (weight training, running, biking, yard work, etc.) - although now it is curtailed. The first action I took was to call my PCP. He referred me to an Ortho and she's been excellent. Right off I got an MRI and the diagnosis. I then went to 8 weeks of PT and did the normal routine - stretching, weights, etc. They also put me on the rack which was to decompress my spine.
215858 tn?1420175156 I was a new mother--had the transfusions when I hemorrhaged during delivery--so my doctor at the time diagnosed me as just a tired Mom. (HepC hadn't been discovered then.) I lost a LOT of weight, too, but decided that must be because I was breast feeding. (Thankfully, I did not transmit the disease to my son.) My HepC was discovered when blood tests during a routine physical in the late 90s revealed elevated liver enzymes and that led to further blood work and a liver biopsy.
Avatar n tn B12 with Lipotropics is a weight loss injection, if you go to medhelp.org and click at the bottom where it says weight loss, you would see that there is alot of people taking the shot. I've been on it for a week and already lost 4lbs. You can also goggle mydietsoulutions and can read about it there as well.
