After my expsoure I did a complete STI screening by 9th week including HIV & Syphilis and all came negative. Then end of 12th week I did a finger prick HIV test and that was also negative. After that I was having unprotected sex with my wife now exactly 100th day from my initial exposure I was facing heavy fever(102) and few small red dots in my hand & legs(never came before in my life). Today 105th day from exposure I am diagonised with Typhoid and urinary infection.
after 5 months i got recurring fever for 15 days the fever used to come in evening and vanish after eating paracetamol..i was tested typhoid positive by Widal test but my illness was finally cured by Lumerax 80(malaria) tablet( i was tested negative for malaria). I was afraid of HIV..i tested myself after 7 months by ELISA HIV Duo ultra and it came to be negative...inspite of this i am afraid...am i all right?

m an indian, i had unprotected sex with a girl in the last week of july, I startd fallin sick, i had fever n was diagonosed with typhoid was treated for the same, I have this recurring throat infection for the past 9 months as well,and also i had red spots on my arm which go away, doctor said its due to allergy(Im allergic to AC),I got all the tests done it came bac negative....
14 i visited Max Hospital(Its a very reputed hospital) and i was tested for around 10 blood test including HIV1/HIV2(ELISA),all of them came negetive.Dr. prescribed me Vitamin D/E tablets and calcium tab.
After that i had a unprotected sex with my wife,and she also started feeling Loss of apetite/Rashes/Severe fatigue/Enlarged Breasts/Headache.
I have again tested 2 times again for HIV-ELISA(last test was in March'14) which again came negetive.

Coming to my incident mr teak I was concerned because blood came very slowly & stopped for few secs, so that lady injected the gap in syringe to pull it back for collecting blood. I was concerned of that.

It was late evening of early March 2011, when at a bar slightly drunk picked up a girl & had ………… Although it was a protected one but the since then I have been living with guilt & fear.
I got ELISA test done after 15 days & result was been negative. ……………..Since then everything was going perfectly fine when 1 day in month of October I caught cold very bad cold later it was diagnosed as acute Sinus & in month of November 2011 while cleaning my throat I had blood in my mucus.
A positive usually is 160 or higher for recent infection. Did you have a vaccine of typhoid in your life? This vaccine can cross react with this test. The high Eos short for the Eosinophil cells, and are high but not that high. But being high they are a sign of a parasitic infection or fungal infection not a bacterial. Usually your white blood cell count would be high. A better test would be to get a stool culture done and a blood culture. If you can.

Doctor told me that i ve typhoid and two labs confirmed it but one was in negative... they did elisa test... i dont know what to do.... secondly i've very little 8-10 bumps/rash on my right leg on different places... its almost sixth week now... in your question write ur post exposure time too. Hi, welcome to the forum, yes, the symptoms you have mentioned can be seen in typhoid fever. This can be confirmed by a test known as widal test which shows the raised titres of typhoid antigen. The skin manifestations can also be seen with allergic dermatitis but the fever and headache doesn't fit in the diagnosis.
After the confirmation of the typhoid, ensure complete antibiotic therapy to prevent the relapse in the future.
Hi, the duo test at 28 days would be conclusive. Other tests would be in 3 months post exposure for certainly. Stomach troubles are not any std symptom. Testing for other std,s like gono and syphilis would be recommended for those with symptoms like urethra irritation or canker sores OR if you have a long term partner.
my sgpt is 107 ,sgot 55 and ggt 137 is any problem to my liver ,if problem then what is the solution of it.i am now take medicine for typhoid fever i.e paracetamol 650 and cifixime .is this medicine can affect to liver and increases these parameters.please tell me asap.also yoga and pranayam is helpfull for this.
Hello, I'm having a bowel movements everyday and I don't know wat is the problem with my stomatch...I was having a watery stool too but it has stopped but not the bowel movements. I went took blood test and the result showed I had typhoid and little jaundice. I'm still taking medication for typhoid and jaundice. What should I do?
