After my expsoure I did a complete STI screening by 9th week including HIV & Syphilis and all came negative. Then end of 12th week I did a finger prick HIV test and that was also negative. After that I was having unprotected sex with my wife now exactly 100th day from my initial exposure I was facing heavy fever(102) and few small red dots in my hand & legs(never came before in my life). Today 105th day from exposure I am diagonised with Typhoid and urinary infection.
after 5 months i got recurring fever for 15 days the fever used to come in evening and vanish after eating paracetamol..i was tested typhoid positive by Widal test but my illness was finally cured by Lumerax 80(malaria) tablet( i was tested negative for malaria). I was afraid of HIV..i tested myself after 7 months by ELISA HIV Duo ultra and it came to be negative...inspite of this i am afraid...am i all right?

m an indian, i had unprotected sex with a girl in the last week of july, I startd fallin sick, i had fever n was diagonosed with typhoid was treated for the same, I have this recurring throat infection for the past 9 months as well,and also i had red spots on my arm which go away, doctor said its due to allergy(Im allergic to AC),I got all the tests done it came bac negative....

Coming to my incident mr teak I was concerned because blood came very slowly & stopped for few secs, so that lady injected the gap in syringe to pull it back for collecting blood. I was concerned of that.
Also after this incident I was having stomache upset exactly after 3 weeks & it continued for a week. It stopped after taking tablets.
Hello, I'm having a bowel movements everyday and I don't know wat is the problem with my stomatch...I was having a watery stool too but it has stopped but not the bowel movements. I went took blood test and the result showed I had typhoid and little jaundice. I'm still taking medication for typhoid and jaundice. What should I do?

14 i visited Max Hospital(Its a very reputed hospital) and i was tested for around 10 blood test including HIV1/HIV2(ELISA),all of them came negetive.Dr. prescribed me Vitamin D/E tablets and calcium tab.
After that i had a unprotected sex with my wife,and she also started feeling Loss of apetite/Rashes/Severe fatigue/Enlarged Breasts/Headache.
I have again tested 2 times again for HIV-ELISA(last test was in March'14) which again came negetive.

I have checked Hiv 1 & 2 abs test after 4 & 5 months, is it conclusive or i have to wait for anohter 1 month for extra sure.
What is known as elisa method? whether hiv detection has to be done only through elisa or normal hiv 1 & 2 Abs test is enough.
When is normally a hiv test should be done after a possible exposure for 100% sure.

Hi, 26 months ago, I had protected sex three times with a sex worker in one night. I used manforce condoms which are the top most quality brands in India. I did no kiss, no vagina sucking and no oral sex. I did not have any serious health issue till today. but sometimes in last 2 years I had common cold for 3-6 days maximum 4 to 5 times. If they took a blood sample it may have just been for the eos count and this antibody test for the Widals test. If you do get the stool culture to check for typhoid or Salmonella perhaps you can check for ova and parasites too since your Eos were high. Let me know if you have any questions. The dry cough does sound possibly viral. Can you eat and drink without having stomach problems?
Better for you than typhoid. Did a doctor prescribe the Cephalexin? And did he know you are pregnant? Then you should be OK. If you have doubts or did not get the prescription from your doctor who knows you are pregnant, ask a doctor or a pharmacist. Don't take any antibiotic or other drug that wasn't prescribed to you. But if that is the case, see a doctor because typhoid is very serious.

Rheumatoid arthritis too can cause swollen lymph nodes and fever. Hence, may be she is having a flare of rheumatoid arthritis. This needs to be ruled out.
Hi, welcome to the forum, yes, the symptoms you have mentioned can be seen in typhoid fever. This can be confirmed by a test known as widal test which shows the raised titres of typhoid antigen. The skin manifestations can also be seen with allergic dermatitis but the fever and headache doesn't fit in the diagnosis.
After the confirmation of the typhoid, ensure complete antibiotic therapy to prevent the relapse in the future.
s such as fever, stomach trouble and went to the hospital around 9th march 2015 for check up, I did a hiv test and typhoid with the HIV coming negative and typhoid positive. treated myself for typhoid little after a week but had doubts about the HIV result because it was just 3weeks from my exposure to unprotected sex so I decided to retake another test at 24/04/2015 which i came out negative also and ,is 6weeks from my first one.
