Common Questions and Answers about Dry skin pictures

Avatar n tn Every time it starts to heal, however, and look better, it begins itching very badly and I end up peeling/scratching off the flaky skin. After peeling off this flaky, dry skin, a red type of lesion appears underneath where I peeled the skin. The lesion has a type of glossy look to it, and it is red. The lesions do not hurt, unless they rub against my boxers, and then it causes some slight pain. The lesions do not bleed, but they appear to be very wet and feel wet.
Avatar m tn Hi!For about month till now I have that dry skin on my penis first everything was normal that I have noticed a cracked skin bellow the head of the penis. Here are pictures of it..
Avatar f tn I have had dry, flaky, discolored skin under my left brest for about 6 years now. This past year the problem has spread to the area under my right breast, both armpits, parts of my abdomen including my belly button and sides, and more recently my left calf. The areas start out small, dry and flaky with little itching and usually around stretch marks. Over time, the areas become worse with the areas becoming dryer, flakier, discolored and small red streaks have developed under my breasts.
Avatar n tn I was sexual active with a girl in Oct 2008. I developed 2 very small areas of dry skin on my penis and one on my scrotum. One eventually developed a scab and they other 2 just healed. There was a general tingling/itching senasation on the sides of the shaft of penis and the botton on both sides of my scrotum. Also my anus itched intensely. I went to a local health clinic and was tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, HIV, Hep B/C and all came back negative.
1116823 tn?1303076444 I have dry flaky skin on my penis head. Its similar to when you have chapped, dry lips and you could pull the skin off.. I have had this problem for more than 10 years now. I have never had sex because of this, so I know it is not an STD. I have also been to the doctors, and they pretend that it's either not there, or that I'm concentrating on that area too hard. This one lazy SOB even told me I had vitiligo and that there was nothing I could do (which I know I don't have).
1937298 tn?1439251154 For about a month or so, my penis skin would be itchy or dry, or a combination of both. Recently I've noticed what looked like cuts. Just now, as I've looked at it in pictures, it looked like two bumps that were aggravated. For a while, as long as I didn't aggravate it, there was no pain. It doesn't burn when I urinate or if I ejaculate.
Avatar n tn I noticed a bump on my boyfriends penis the other day near the bottom of the shaft and it sort of looks like a skin tag but the skin is actually very dry just on that bump an no where else. I have looke a pictures of herpes and genital warts and skin tags and blocked hair follicles and none of these seemed to be it.
Avatar n tn I have been looking on line forever and nothing with pictures looks right. I thought it was just extremely dry skin, but no lotion, not even Aquaphor seems to help at all. Any ideas would be helpful.
Avatar m tn I think I just over used it and the cracked skin on the tip is probably from dry ***. Mainly I want the bruise gone faster than cracked skin cause it is minor cracks very small and close to the surface so I'm Gunnar try to keep moisturizing it.
Avatar m tn I recently noticed what appears to be dry skin accumulating around the tip of my penis. I had unprotected sex one time about a month ago, but nothing sexual besides that. It is not painful or irritating. Please let me know what this might be. See photos attached.
Avatar m tn I've been dealing with it for years now, and it will flare up sometimes and causes me to have extremely dry and irritated skin. This question is in reference to your post from Oct 4, 2008 (long ago)...but your answer will be greatly appreciated!!
1624955 tn?1300282067 My Persian has these dry patches she has been battling with since she was 2 mths old. she was tested and diagnosed for ringworm but it is dry buildup of skin. Its not itchy, not wet, no ring, Has anyone else come across the same issues? Please let me know.
Avatar m tn For a few years now my Dad has had a fungus of some sort growing under a few of his nails, and his skin is really dry and looks all cracked. I attached some pictures to show examples of what it looks like.
Avatar f tn Hello, Three weeks ago I woke up to a patch of dry/flaky peeling skin on my penis head. I had never seen it before so I picked at it and peeled it off. It seemed to be the top layer of the skin and after coming off the area was very red, and very slightly bloody. The area remained red and usually becomes bright red after a hot shower or if lotion is applied.
Avatar m tn Do not scrub your skin or shave your skin and use a soft towel and gently pat your skin dry. Also use a sunburn Over-The-Counter remedy containing aloe vera and a light moisturizer or a dusting powder to relieve chafing. You can apply silver sulfadiazine (1% cream) on the skin except face and see if it helps. If the symptoms still persist then you should consult a dermatologist.
Avatar f tn On my cheeks, there is some dry skin. My neck is pretty dry too. Flaky skin can be seen around my eye sockets, and my eyelids peel all the time. I can't even touch my face without dead skin flakes sticking to my hand. It honestly isn't that bad, looks-wise. But it sure gets annoying! A few patches of dry skin have shown up on my hands, too. There is a patch about the size of a cutie on my left hand, and one the size of a grape on my right. These aren't too flaky, but they feel almost scaley...
Avatar m tn It used to be a darker color and it is now much lighter in color, a more pale/pink/transparent color. Also, the skin feels dry and can get irritated really easily, and even red when I masturbate. So now, I am not masturbating nor am I having sex for fear of it prohibiting it from healing. It has been 2 months since I stopped the 1% hydrocortisone. I put vaseline one it for about a week, and then I've just been using non-cosmetic moisturizer.
Avatar n tn You should be tested for PUPPs (I believe that is the correct acronym?!). Mine is not dry and patchy or itchy. It's just the skin in that area has darkened. Skin problems do arise in pregnancy, some more serious than others. You could call and see if you should move your appointment up.
Avatar f tn Hello, From your symptoms the dry skin of the forehead can be due to dry skin or seborrheic dermatitis. Dry skin results when there is not enough water in the stratum corneum for it to function properly. Too much soapy water, exposure to harsh chemicals, the normal aging process and certain types of skin diseases are some of the causes of decreased amounts of protective skin oils which in turn causes dry skin.
Avatar n tn I've been looking online for symptoms of skin rashes and dry skin. It is winter time, so I wasn't sure if this is just typical for dry winter skin or if it might be eczema or something else. The patches vary in size and shape, nothing bigger than an inch long/around. Does anyone have any idea what it may be?
Avatar m tn It takes about 24 hours to stop draining, and my skin returns to normal after a few days. I think it may be some sort of contact allergy. I've been trying to figure it out for years--changing face washes/products, etc., but no combination seems to work. I think it's something external--food or drink--that's coming into contact with my face by accident. The other night, I was at a baseball game, and a fan threw his alcoholic drink into the stands, splashing one side of my face.
Avatar m tn Don't forget that even though you suffer from acne which is usually from very oily skin, the dry areas still need moisterising and the skin needs protecting from winds. When you shave, make sure (no doubt you do anyway) that you shave down in the direction the hair is growing. In fact there is an acne video on this site that may be of help to you. Personally though I think that the sore skin with the little bumps underneath is either bacterial or fungal.
Avatar m tn Hello, From the symptoms it sounds like seborrheic dermatitis. Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that causes flaky, dry, white to yellowish scales to form on oily areas esp under the nose or anywhere on face. You can treat flaking and dryness with over-the-counter dandruff or medicated shampoos. Shampoo the hair vigorously and frequently (preferably daily). Active ingredients in these shampoos include salicylic acid, coal tar, zinc, resorcin, ketoconazole, or selenium.
