Am I ok to continue taking these?
Its been three days after I completed my course of Doxycycline and still I feel tired and feverish,also my face is itchy on cheek and around my lips,mild headache,pain in thighs and some times my testicles pain.
I have an appointment with urologisit this friday.
It will be a great help if you can advise me what it is? based on your experience.

The appropriate course of action would be to (1) evaluate the status of your immune system and come up with a plan to strengthen it. This could include a multi-vitamin, 1000 mg of vitamin C a day, a zinc supplement and 5000 IU of vitamin D3. Good diet and daily exposure to sunlight for at least thirty minutes will alsop help. (2) To take a culture of the infection to determine an appropriate antibiotic and then administer the antibiotic in sufficient strength to eliminate the organism.
I red the article. I can see now that taking Vitamin E, Vitamin C and Selenium for a long time was a mistake.
Perhaps this is why my PCR jumped from 1.000.000 to 17.000.000 in 3 months.
On 15 of January I'm going to begin the second treatment with Interferon, Rib.and Boceprevir. (the first time I was on placebo) It will be good if I could begin the treatment with a lower viral load. If the virus is still detectable,after 4 months of treatment, I will be taken off the treatment.
This is really a question for your doctor, as they should be the only one making medication recommendations for you, but as far as vitamin C and pregnancy, it should be safe, I'd check with your doctor especially if you are on any other meds that could be effected by the excess vitamin C before you start any.

Please pay for the office visit if necessary, it is worth it to learn how to give the injections. They are very easy to give and should only be minimally painful. Probiotics are available over the counter at drug or health food stores or at your vets office.

Im 27 Year Asian man. I had sex about six month ago. has an unprotected vaginal sex. after one week I have a painful urination. after withing one month I was met a STD Doctor. She give me to Doxycycline 100mg BD (Brand Name :- Microdox DT) & Vitamin C 500mg for one week. Then I had a little bit cure. but next week I had a painful urination with Painful, swollen testicles. my doctor given me to Ciprofloxing 500 mg with one of Pain Killer.
I am a survivor of 10 years and I am finished with Tamoxifen and have till October when I will be finished with Femara. My urologist wants me to begin taking Vitamin C and Acidophalos?? I wasalways told that one shoud not take vitamins, having had cancer. I am allowed to take Evening Primrose Oil 1500 one a day to prevent breast cysts. I am most concerned about starting Vitamin C.
i am thinking og giving my brother (who smokes) vitamin C for his immune system. he has a very busy and toxic lifestyle having to go to school in the morning around 8am and going to the hospital (for his internship) until 11pm.

I'm a 33-year old female. I have had constant abdominal pain for the past four weeks (it feels like menstrual cramps) and urination frequency/urgency that happens when I'm in a moving vehicle. When I go to the bathroom, very little comes out. My doctor tested my urine and did a culture, and there was nothing there, so she ruled out a UTI. I went to a urologist and he thought I might have an inflamed urethrea but he did not sound convinced. I was prescribed Doxycycline.
Thank you so much for your reply. No there was no pain when they first appeared and they would not blister. It was just like an infection at the hair follicles. But i would keep on putting hydrogen peroxide and hydrocortizone and I think I made it worse by spreading it. I am worried now thinking that it is an STD because I have had the same parter fro 3 years and to my knowledge she has not had any other partners also.
what happen for me im obese before then I lost weight and become normal bmi 23 I take glucophage and birth control pills vit e and vit c for 6 month then following month I stop glucophage and birth control pills I get normal menstrual cycle for six month only I take vit e and vit c continue exercise normal bmi after 6month I notice that my period are starting to delay in a days or a week now 4month I never used any vitamin or any medicine.
I took doxycycline for 4-5 months and my hair began thinning. I had long and extremely thick blonde curly hair but with doxycycline i lost more than a fourth of my hair. My hair turned stringy lost its curl pattern and looked awful! Now after 9 months i am watching my hair grow every day. It is so painful to watch because its SO FRIZZY! i have tons of little baby hairs growing in that frizz out around the rest of my hair. They look terrible and i have never had a problem with frizz before.
