332074 tn?1229560525 Stop looking for someone to tell you what to eat and start thinking about why you eat too much. But I can assure you that you eat too much. I have never seen a case where that is not true. You can change, and if you want more info about how then go to the shrinkyourself.com website and find out more.
1063764 tn?1272821064 If you eliminate gluten, then want to re-introduce it into your diet, you can, but you have to work up to that burger...a cracker one day, two the next... The connection between Hashi's and celiac is that they are both autoimmune diseases, and once we have one, our chances of getting another increase. However, if you don't have celiac, I don't know that there's any reason to avoid gluten just because you have Hashi's or are hypo.
Avatar f tn I find it very helpful to eat a whole foods based diet. This eliminates a lot of contradictions and cross contamination problems one will certainly encounter with the processed convenience foods. That and it seems that many on this forum are gluten and lactose intolerant, so those things seem to be the top things to avoid. Then, of course, the other things right up there to avoid would be the produce items in the nightshade family.
1085545 tn?1284042254 I am also a vegetarian and found I had to make some drastic changes in my diet, but I am now able to eat a variety of foods and enjoy cooking again. What you need to reduce is your intake of carbs. If you are used to eating a large amount of rice (for me the problem was pasta) you will have to change that.
Avatar m tn I know there are some lists out there of food containing 20 grams of fat. Some of it is food I never eat (potato chips, some fast foods, some rich sweets, etc.) which is the main reason why I don't know the foods. I hope this helps. I wish your son the very best. Please have him or you post if he gets side effects. Many of us have completed the Incivek course and we know some very good remedies for some of the side effects.
Avatar f tn Your use to be favorite foods turns into your most hated foods! That's the way the senses work. It's bad isn't it?! I love being in the third trimester, when it comes to food . My firat & second trimester were not good at all .
Avatar n tn m looking to find out where i can obtain a listing of foods to avoid and foods to eat....all i find is diet plans, how many grams of what is in it etc... all i really want is for her to have a list of the foods she can have without fearing her sugar will go up, snacks she can have or not have etc...at her age its hard for her to figure out calories, grams, exchange groups and all that...
Avatar m tn u may want to keep a journal and only try one item at a time so u can keep track and see which foods are ok...and slowly add them to other foods as it can be the way more than one food item ur body is reacting to.... Did u have surgery? I wait till I feel ok and then I have one item but I take my meds with that food be it pizza, or some type of pasta....and I try to only have it once in a week so as not to cause a flare....
1345697 tn?1430619021 I posted this in the BF forum but I figured I'd post it here for everyone to be able to read: Some nursing moms find they can eat whatever they like. While it's true that some strongly flavored foods may change the taste of your milk, most babies seem to enjoy a variety of breast milk flavors! Generally, the dominant flavors of your diet — whether soy sauce or chili peppers — were in your amniotic fluid during pregnancy.
1286779 tn?1400012806 Low carb high protein for sure helps. Eat low glysemic index. foods and stay away from highly processed foods and sugars. Eat real food and organic as much as you can. We also avoid gluten and only eat cereal, oats, bread, crackers, pasta and snacks that are gluten free. We also use raw goats milk from a local dairy farm, in our cereal and eat organic meats and eggs (farm fresh) as much as possible. These are all working well for my daughter who is nine and born without a thyroid gland.
880023 tn?1241744504 This is my first pregnancy and it really helped to have something there to reference if i had any questions. I think it is great to eat as healthy, but i also feel that if you want a piece of cake every now and then go for it. Everything in moderation!!
Avatar m tn If you look on the hepatitis c trust website there are details about foods and your diet. I eat what I like but I try not to each too much beef and chips as is puts a strain on your liver, and your body is already fighting the virus. They also said if possible organic food is best or rinse your vegetables in vinegar. And never any alcohol. I am waiting to start treatment I am geno 3a also. I don't have any damage to my liver or if I do not very much.

Avatar f tn The diet you should follow for gastroparesis is low-fiber and low-fat. I have never heard of the soft-food diet for gastroparesis. You should also eat multiple small meals a day as opposed to a couple of large meals.
Avatar f tn I am a new mom, I delivered my baby 4 months ago, I want to go on a diet but I am afraid thst will affect my baby because I am breast feeding her
Avatar f tn I am overweight a little prior to pregnancy and my doctor told me to stay away from fast foods as it holds no nutrional value. She told me to eat as fresh and clean as I can. She said not to count calories or diet but just eat healthy and to exercise. Fresh fruits, veggies, and lean meats like chicken etc. She told me the best way to eat fresh is buy my grocerys from the outer perimeter of the grocery store thats where the eggs, milks cheese and produce and fruit and fresh meat is located.
6403373 tn?1381003248 The biggest thing is not to "eat foods" to help you loose weight, but to cut out such simple things as pop, chips, coffee with tons of cream and sugar. Another way to eat better is to remember this, when you go shopping shop on the OUTSIDE of the grocery store. Almost everything that is processed is in the middle.
