Avatar f tn So far the only info anyone has advised is to eat healthy foods only. If anyone can let us know what types of food is applicable to this case we would appreciate it.
Avatar f tn No its not okay to do a "FAD" (in fashion) diet like that ... if you are considering going raw (only fruits and vegies) few nuts and seeds, you need to do some calculating first. Like how much calories your body needs to feel healthy FAD requiers 2500 calories a day... vegies and fruit are low in calories well some are and you will have to consume a lot of them to stay healthy and lose weight in a healthy way. Try visiting Rawfullyorganic.Com....
Avatar f tn I find it very helpful to eat a whole foods based diet. This eliminates a lot of contradictions and cross contamination problems one will certainly encounter with the processed convenience foods. That and it seems that many on this forum are gluten and lactose intolerant, so those things seem to be the top things to avoid. Then, of course, the other things right up there to avoid would be the produce items in the nightshade family.
Avatar f tn Been there and done that, but it's no fun to eat anymore it was always my favourite pastime! My husband refuses to eat any of this "diet" food, wants to eat normally, and he can. But when I have to worry about 2 different meals, 3 to 6 times a day, I can't come up with much. The only thing we agree upon is oatmeal!!!! We both like it and it works well for our bowels. Thanks for all your help and info.
1085545 tn?1284042254 I am also a vegetarian and found I had to make some drastic changes in my diet, but I am now able to eat a variety of foods and enjoy cooking again. What you need to reduce is your intake of carbs. If you are used to eating a large amount of rice (for me the problem was pasta) you will have to change that.
Avatar f tn Try your best to eat healthy as your baby takes nutrients from what you eat..and those foods dont have much nutritional value. Treat yourself now and the. :) I know that sugary foods can be bad for baby.and cause baby to get too big. I know this as I had gestational diabetes and had to go on a very strict diet from 22weeks. You're human and bound to eat crap.sometimes but try get some healthy food in too.
Avatar m tn No, I did not. I just am trying to start incorporating more foods again. So, you only try one food a week and see how it works for you?
332074 tn?1229560525 Stop looking for someone to tell you what to eat and start thinking about why you eat too much. But I can assure you that you eat too much. I have never seen a case where that is not true. You can change, and if you want more info about how then go to the shrinkyourself.com website and find out more.
880023 tn?1241744504 just wondering if any of you guys stick to a certain pregnancy diet or something like that! I am not fallowing any kind of diet, just trying to eat lots of vegetables and fruits, drink lots of water and juices etc...
1462394 tn?1285937517 That helps with digestion and you will be able to get more nutrients into your body. Stay with the foods you can tolerate so you do not have attacks and eat low fat foods, too. Do you have issues with dairy products? If so, then use Soy products which are good substitution for dairy products. Recommend a Heart Healthy diet which is a moderate fat diet. You need approximately 2200 calories per day which is spread across 3-5 meals a day with snacks between meals.
1286779 tn?1400012806 Low carb high protein for sure helps. Eat low glysemic index. foods and stay away from highly processed foods and sugars. Eat real food and organic as much as you can. We also avoid gluten and only eat cereal, oats, bread, crackers, pasta and snacks that are gluten free. We also use raw goats milk from a local dairy farm, in our cereal and eat organic meats and eggs (farm fresh) as much as possible. These are all working well for my daughter who is nine and born without a thyroid gland.
1063764 tn?1272821064 I just recently started Levothyroxine (smallest dose) a few months ago. I get my levels rechecked next month, I missed my medication one day, not sure if that's a problem, I've also had a hard time taking it consistently at the same time, or around the same time. I do not consume soy milk/ tofu/ soy protein, or basically anything mainly consisting of soy. I've noticed that's helped a bit.
6403373 tn?1381003248 The biggest thing is not to "eat foods" to help you loose weight, but to cut out such simple things as pop, chips, coffee with tons of cream and sugar. Another way to eat better is to remember this, when you go shopping shop on the OUTSIDE of the grocery store. Almost everything that is processed is in the middle.
Avatar f tn What meats and other foods can I not eat? What foods are the best for me to eat?
Avatar n tn An apple and banana are both things I thought was good but they contain carbs that add to my 130. Carrots is another snack I wanted to eat and also has about 10 g.
Avatar f tn LIVESTRONG.com is a good source of information, I think. You can go there to get the entire page on this. But you can also find similar findings on a lot of medical websites, many that are very reputable. I searched because right now I'm cruising on 116 and I'd like to get my platelets up to normal eventually.
Avatar m tn One thing I should mention is that if your son starts to feel hungry or like he should eat, he should eat something. Even if he does not feel hungry or is slightly nauseated and it has been a few hours since he ate, he should eat something. I have found (and others have found this too) that if you do not eat when you really should put something in your stomach, even if you feel nauseated, you just get more nauseated.
Avatar f tn If he is on triple tx, with Incivek for the first 12 weeks, he will actually be forced to eat a very high fat diet during that stage (20 mg of fat within 30 minutes prior to pill), as that medication is carried and absorbed via fat. Other than that one drug there are no real dietary restrictions except eating enough and including some fats for better absorption of the ribavirin. Most people lose their appetite and lose some weight while on interferon and ribavirin.
