I've been on the Depo Provera shot since the last summer of 09 and then after getting the shot I has my period for ten days and that was it.I spot here and there but very little.I think you should talk with you doctor to see whats going on and also that you should of check out the side effects before getting on the Depo Provera shot because Deop can cause Irregular, heavy, or no bleeding are common side effects of Depo Provera. After a year of use, many women stop having periods.

Quick question... which Depo are you on? There are two kinds, that I'm aware of: Depo Provera or Depo Lupron. I had tried the Provera when I was about 16 for about a year. I had to stop because I could not handle the side effects any longer. I did spot for about 3 months. It usually takes a few months for your system to get used to it. The Lupron stops your period completely and basically puts your body into menopause, which is the one I am currently on.

I am little confused by your question. The depo provera shot is given once every three months not for three months at some unspecified interval. If you mean that you received the depo shot 4 months ago, and hence, the last month, you did not get a repeat depo shot, then the answer to your question is, yes, you can get pregnant. H If you were my patient, i would advise you that the depo provera injection can be an excellent method of birth control. It is 99% effective and requires only that the patient have 4 injections per year. It is important to take a calcium supplement while using depo provera. Hello, Whether you can have pregnancy or not depends on when did you start the depo shots. The first injection should be given in the first five days of a normal menstrual cycle (day one is the first day of your period). This will protect you from pregnancy immediately. But if you start on some other day, you will need to use additional contraception, eg condoms for the first seven days after having the injection. If you do not use any additional contraception then you may get pregnant.

I was suppose to start my period Saturday however I went in on friday and got the Depo shot. This was the first shot I have ever received. I have yet to start my period. The only minor side effects I did have was mild cramping after the shot, and headaches. Although once I got off depo that was different. My hair started to fall out, I gained weight, headaches were worse and so on. This pregnancy happened 2 months after being off birth control completely, and while hubby had a vesectomy.
