Avatar n tn The water changes color and just by the color of the water they can tell you what type of meds you are taking and the cleanse leaves you feeling refreshed and colon and aqua cleanses help to detox depo. Sorry I didn't mean to bore you. ALL IN ALL DEPO IS BAD AS I'M SURE MOST ENGINEERED BIRTH CONTROL ARE REMEMBER YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE ABLE TO KEEP THE BEAT TO A MICHAEL JACKSON SONG TO HAVE THE ABILITY TO USE THE "RHYTHM MEDTHOD" FORM OF BIRTH CONTROL.

Avatar n tn My suggestion to all Depo users who are getting off, Detox! Detox! Everyone is different so everyone's body will adjust differently and take time. My regiment - water water water and more water. I add fresh cut lemons all the time. Eat good wholesome foods, lots of veggies and fruits. And exercise! I truly believe this is the best method for detoxing. I also drink iced green tea and take a daily vitamin (pre-natals!
Avatar f tn I've just turned 18 and I've been using the depo shot for at least 7 months because the pill was making me sick. When I asked my Nurse about depo she just told me about the positives which left me very much in the dark about this contraception.Since starting my shots I have gained 14LBS in just SEVEN months!!I have gone back to the nurse since and explained that my diet and exercise hasn't changed but I'm gaining weight, she wasn't exactly sympathic and insisted I eat less!
Avatar f tn Future Fertility -- Women who want to become pregnant may stop using Depo Provera at any time. For some women, fertility returns immediately. For others, it may take 6-18 months or longer for the body's hormone cycle to go back to normal. ...

Avatar f tn Now i am waiting for my gynecologist appointment to come through.I am so worried at the moment.I am sure it is because of Depo Provera AND NOT CANCER.I told her that i have read a lot of reviews of woman who had the sam on going bleeding for months, but she kind of ignored that. I just wonder how will they stop that bleeding? When it is going to stop?
Avatar n tn For some women coming off of the pill could take anything from 1 month to over 2 years to fall pregnant. I was on depo-provera for 3 years came off of it an TTC for a year with no results. i then went on the pill for 4 months as i had started a new job and have just stopped las month. i'm really hoping this is my month but with trying for the year and nothing happening i'm trying not to build my hopes up. Try taking folic acid and drink plenty of water to detox your system.
Avatar f tn no one ever rx-ed me narcs for endo///surgery is the fix for that to remove it//not narcs and considering where endometriosis pain comes from it is not considered as a choice for pain relief for endometriosis by most physicians//depo provera..a drug that stops periods will also put endometriosis down cos it is caused by uterine bleeding DDD sux! I have completely lost 2 discs to this disease///and have plates in my neck...thing is how u r feeling right now sounds worse than the pain from DDD..
Avatar f tn This was before my addiction for a neck issue that ended up causing me to have surgery for metal plates placed in my neck I am not sure your gyno is handling this correctly but if it is endometriosis, surgery will cure it or Depo-provera to stop your periods. Endometriosis only hurts when u bleed as uterine tissue is misplaced outside of your uterus in body cavities where blood is not supposed to occur/hence when u have a period, these pieces of tissue bleed that are misplaced..
8256587 tn?1399901106 Endo wants me to undergo a gastroscopy and to think about taking Depo-Provera contraceptive injections. Symptoms are to me not from anemia as they consist of heavy periods, orthostatic hypotension (blood rushes when standing from sitting) and cramping in legs when walking. Symptoms that have now gone: constipation, depression, fatigue, cold intolerance. I have now eliminated gluten and dairy in its entirety. I had an abnormal urine sample which showed leukocytes (white blood) and protein.
Avatar n tn Solution supress your periods. The way this is done is with a shot called Depo-Provera. I have endometriosis and have been addicted to Vicodin for years. I received the shot and it suppressed my periods, hence no period no pain!!! Unfortunately, the side effects were unbearable and so I stopped the shots. I am not sure if you have already tried this but if you haven't look into it and ask your OB/GYN.
280700 tn?1210287416 I also took clomid 50mg last month and never ovulated, so the cycle was a bust and the doctor prescribed Provera again casue it could be some time before i get my period. He upped my dosage to 100mg and i'm on day 3 today of clomind. I'm basically taking clomid cd 2-6 as the specialist wanted and then he will start monitoring me on CD 9. I'm also getting IUI done so hopefully tis would help but if I don't ovulate then this cycle would be a bust also. I'm crossing my fingers as well.
Avatar n tn I have been TTC for 4 months (this is currently our 5th), DH is 30 and I'm 28. Have been off Depo Provera Shot for 14 months and been having irregular periods for 10 months now. My cycle length varies from 12 - 20 days. I'm currently sitting at CD22 with no period, no cramps, bloating, or any of the AF symptoms I'm used to. Have been using OPK because of the irregular cycle length & this month ovulated on CD5 while I was still spotting from AF!
Avatar n tn This compares with 10 for the normal IUCD, 20 for the Pill and 10-15 for the injection (Depo Provera). This is comparable to the effectiveness of sterilisation. Mirena acts as a contraceptive in two ways: it makes the mucus at the neck of the womb (the cervix) much thicker, preventing sperm from getting through and it also makes the lining of the womb extremely thin, stopping implantation. In some women it prevents egg release (ovulation). A.
Avatar f tn I've switched to the pill now but just started but after I had my son i wanted to try Depo-provera I got the shot until my son was six months old and I think it may have had something to do with my mood I started feeling really sad all the time and started getting chest pains and bad headaches I went to the er twice with chest pains and they did a ct scan and ekg and said everything was fine both times and they did a scan on my head to check for tumors and they said everything was fine with that
Avatar f tn I have always had beautiful soft hair its my favorite thing about me and I have never been able to stand if it felt greasy or unkempt, but a couple weeks ago I pulled my hair up into a half ponytail to go out somewhere and I noticed that my hair looked really grease on the left side of my head. I figured that I probably had gotten distracted in the shower but it didn't go away.
Avatar n tn 10 so I will ask my MD about the med to make me have a cycle (Provera has always been the usual prescribed med) I have battled PCOS for 16 years so my cycles have always been scattered to non exixtant most of the time....at least I feel better with my weight loss physicallly and mentally I do think the Metformion has helped with my weightloss . I do not seem to have any side affects now that my body has adjusted to the medication as I have been on it for over 2 months.
Avatar n tn Depo isn't the monster that people make it out to be. It's a good option for some people so don't be afraid to look into it). The doctor I went to prefers to do the insertion on a patient who is on her period. But since I have been on Depo Provera I haven't had a period in about 22 months! Because I had previously had a vaginal delivery (my daughter is 16 years old now) the doc decided to give insertion a try without my period (this was last month). OMFG... OUCH! And I mean: OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
