Our 11 year old pug started out with a cough with a small gag after. We went away for 1 week. On the day before our return he got really bloated the caretakers didn't think he got into anything. He can't lie down and we walked him as we thought he might of gotten into his dry good. Pugs don't know when to stop eating. So we thought he ate to much. Friday night Saturday. He did sleep Saturday when we got home. Sunday morning still bloated.
Of course he did not cough the entire time we were at the emergency vet office. I am just waiting for the radiology report to come in. I had to put my other pug (Nicky) to sleep almost two weeks ago and they think the cough can be a stress cough. He is taking Clavamox and the cough seems to be getting better. He really is not eating as much as he used to and doesn't play at all really. He just sits by my side.
ve noticed a couple times that my pug would suddenly begin grasping for air in the middle of his sleep. The struggle for air wakes him up and he begins to make snorting sounds for about 10 seconds before he is able to breathe regularly again. Is this a common problem with pugs or should I get him checked for respitory problems? Thanks.
i dont know if its dandruff or wat, but it doesnt come in flakey form. it comes in tiny hair forms. they are white dust like particles which are in my hair and they never run out. what may the cause be and what should i do to stop it? i used to wash my hair every day/twice a day if i play ball. for the last 3 days ive tried shampooing every other day, but i do still wash my hair with water. but no good, there are still a massive amount of dust in my hair. What sort of illness is this?
Apply it twice in a week at night and keep overnight. There are many anti dandruff shampoos in the market which you can use. Comb your hair well and massage your scalp well. If dandruff persists consult a skin specialist. Once this resolves the lymph nodes will disappear on their own.

I first started getting dandruff a while back; now I have spots that are very visible, especially when I get out of the shower. They don't really itch or hurt but they do have a redness to them, but its just really dry patches; I've tried treating them with over-the-counter dandruff shampoo but to no avail. I also have a dry-skin problem on my face and my doctor gave me Ketoconazole cream which helped, but the same cream does not remedy my scalp problems.
t seem to have made much of a dent in the dandruff. Like I said, the dandruff is minimal on some days and heavier on other days with seemingly no rhyme or reason.
I've tried adding some olive oil to his food, and even rubbing some on him because I read it might help, but really when I massaged some olive oil into his skin it almost seemed to make the dandruff worse.
What do you all think? I have read they sell dog balm and dog moisturizers, which I'd never even heard of before.

You can also take vit B6 and vit A and E which are good for hair and skin. Try medicated shampoos for dandruff. There are a number of over-the-counter shampoos available that can help.
Lately i have noticed i have dandruff, i heard of shampoo that gets rid of it, does anyone know any kind of shampoo or other thing that does, i have tried showering even More often then i do, which is alot, and it still doesnt go away, i want to get rid of it soon, only got it about a week ago. Im 13 (going to be 14 in 2months if that makes any sense) and im having dandruff for almost a year. I have tryed a lot of shampoos that say im going to get rid of dandruff but that doesnt help. Before it was a lot more ,i think now its a little bit less but still there. I really hate that. Does anybody now some good ways how to get rid of dandruff ??
however, i have tried every single anti-dandruff solution they sell and most just make my head more itchy. its weird cuz my scalp comes off in larger chunks than i thought dandruff was. it is also slightly yellower. it is constant, i never have a break from it. its super embarassing too, because i cannot resist to itch it and once i start to scratch i can't stop for like 2 or 3 minutes. i thought it was dandruff at first, but now i don't think so. what do you think it is?
You need to take him to a vet to be checked out. Short-nosed dogs like Pugs can have a hard enough time breathing as it is. And anything which makes this a great deal worse, can actually end up as a life threatening situation.
He may have a 'collapsed trachea'. I am not saying he has of course. I can't tell. An X ray might help to see if that's happening.
Please do take him to be examined.
