I live in Virginia, and yes it is Winter, if i use it about once every two days is that ok?

In summer its mostly common that people doesnt have any complains regarding their dandruff but in winter yes cause when it comes about hair they need moisture and in winter we usualy dont wash our hair that often. Solution: Wash them and massage the scalp with olive oil leave it for the night and then wash then next day morning and then if you see any changes after a week .... then thats what it is ....

I've always had issues with Dry Scalp and Dandruff, particularly during the winter. Over the past couple years, I've also developed some sort of scalp sores that when picked at tend to bleed. They seem to continually come back. I've tried a number of shampoos - Head and Shoulders, Nizoral, Aveda Pureformance, T/Gel, American Crew, etc. with varying results.

Hi, wondering if anyone has an answer for me. I used to get dandruff on and off and I used head & shoulders or others like it and it worked fine. This winter, however, my scalp has gotten extremly dry and itchy and flaky, and sore from all the scratching. I tried a bunch of more heavy duty OTC shampoos for dandruff, but none worked. I used an essential oils scalp massage and that worked for a bit. Now it is out of control and driving me crazy.

Then just last summer I started having this pimples like rashes on my triceps and just this winter my dandruff got worst it spread to my nose and to my ears and to my eyebrows. Is this a sign that I have HIV? Help me please. :( Im very worried.

I've always dealt with dandruff in the winter, but I can't tell if the little white things in my hair are flakes or nits. I did the lice treatment, but nothing showed up when my hair was combed out. I have painful slightly itchy bumps and pimples on my scalp. I'm not insanely itchy, but I know you don't have to be super itchy to have lice. I don't know what else it would be if it's not lice, maybe the treatment didn't work. If it's not lice what is it?

As mentioned earlier I have tried products prescribed by my GP, Polytar shampoo and Betnovate lotion, neither of these have worked. Other than using an Anti-dandruff shampoo everyday and trying my hardest not to scratch I don't know what else to do. HELP!!!

Okay I ned help my cat has dandruff and I am pretty sure it is coming from the lack of dry air here in the house it has been very cold.. So i am sure there isnt much mositure in the air... Hello, For dandruff, eat a healthy diet. You can also take vit B6 and vit A and E which are good for hair and skin. Try medicated shampoos for dandruff. There are a number of over-the-counter shampoos available that can help. The most effective ingredients -- antimicrobials -- to look for are zinc pyridinethione, selenium sulfide, sulfur and ketoconazole (also available by prescription). If your hair is colored, don't use products with selenium sulfide or sulfur.

Honestly i do not know when it started but i am always using my finger to rub on my scalp looking for something to scratch off , i have a serious problem with dandruff it comes and goes and sometimes grow over night. When i have it bad i notice i have red spots or bumps on my scalp and i need help because i am very scared this might be some sort of disease ... can someone tell me what are these small red spots that appear ?

My GI has me wash the riba rash areas with Head & Shoulders (or Selsun Blue) dandruff shampoo and then apply over the counter hydrocortisone cream. My rash is is on my face and you have to be very careful using hydrocortison cream around the eyes as it thins the skin. This ritual works but the minute you stop the rash does come back.
