dandruff

Avatar f tn I never had dandruff problems before pregnancy, but once I entered my 2nd trimester my scalp is dry and I have lots of dandruff. Anybody else have this problem and a solution? Does it go away after the baby is born?
Avatar f tn Hi, wondering if anyone has an answer for me. I used to get dandruff on and off and I used head & shoulders or others like it and it worked fine. This winter, however, my scalp has gotten extremly dry and itchy and flaky, and sore from all the scratching. I tried a bunch of more heavy duty OTC shampoos for dandruff, but none worked. I used an essential oils scalp massage and that worked for a bit. Now it is out of control and driving me crazy.
Avatar n tn I am a 24 year old woman who has long, thick brown hair. People always tell me how beautiful my hair is and comment on how silky, shiny, and thick it is. All my life I've been able to run my hands through it! About two months ago, the texture of my hair has changed and is more coarse like and is falling out. Now, when I run my hands through my hair, at least 3 to 10 hairs will come out.
1292644 tn?1272247122 i have a yellow lab, he is 6 months old and he very active kind of dog but now a days i just discovered that his hair is falling and that he has some kind of dandruff (flakes) falling. what must i do in order to avoid this problem? what's the cause?
Avatar m tn I have noticed that I seem to have scaly skin on my scalp, even though I wash regularly and even use dandruff shampoo, the scales come right back. I don't have dandruff. But I can always gently scrape and lift scaly skin off of my scalp. Honestly, my scalp has always been scaly, but this is the first time I've ever experienced actual hair loss. Growing up and into my early 30's my hair was always extremely thick, but now....well, as I said.
Avatar n tn shoulders shampoo and salicylic acid shampoo and Ketokenazole 2% for the dandruff and that they did not know what was wrong with me. All these shampoos just made my hair fall out more and gave me more dandruff. So yet again I went to a different dermatologist, who said that I was experiencing the hair loss because of the dandruff/seborrhea. Which does not make sense, since I was experiencing hair loss 1 year prior to when the dandruff started (due to use of prescribed shampoos).
Avatar m tn Hi Everyone, around a month ago my alt was 176 and going to start my treatment next week. Please englighten me.
Avatar f tn Thoroughly wash your body everyday, especially the back and shoulder part using a back brush and frequently change your bed sheet, as it is conducive for bacterial growth. Engage in a diet that is low in sugar and fat but is rich in vitamins. This prevents acne by preventing the buildup of excess oil on the skin. Also refrain from touching or squeezing your shoulder acne. Also try to keep your hair free of dandruff by using good antidandruff shampoos.
Avatar n tn then i started to develop light dandruff (white, very little grains) and seem not to manage to get it under control with normal dandruff shampoos etc. while googling dandruff i read that dandruff (but i assume heavy) can be a sign of hiv infection. then i started reading about scary high aids rates in portugal. especially as most new infections here come from hetero sexual encounters.
Avatar m tn The other things helped, but the diet and vitamins have had an amazing impact. I have only been on the diet for a couple of weeks, but at least now I can go half the day without itching, or having people around me itch. Also, stress and anxiety makes this condition worse, so try not to fixate on the situation. You itch a lot worse than anyone around you, so dont worry about it. You also feel it a lot worse because you are hypersensitive to it. Hope this helps!
Avatar m tn Hello, For dandruff, eat a healthy diet. You can also take vit B6 and vit A and E which are good for hair and skin. Try medicated shampoos for dandruff. There are a number of over-the-counter shampoos available that can help. The most effective ingredients -- antimicrobials -- to look for are zinc pyridinethione, selenium sulfide, sulfur and ketoconazole (also available by prescription). If your hair is colored, don't use products with selenium sulfide or sulfur.
Avatar f tn If that is helpful you could take magnesium supplements like mag citrate and vitamin D3. We are so deficient in vitamins and minerals now that the soil is so depleted. So that's why we get skin problems.
Avatar m tn Honestly i do not know when it started but i am always using my finger to rub on my scalp looking for something to scratch off , i have a serious problem with dandruff it comes and goes and sometimes grow over night. 1351676 tn?1301339436 Dandruff is common in cats of many coat colors, but very noticeable in black cats. My now deceased black longhair had dandruff at times, and I treated that with brushing/combing, which he was thrilled with, and a high-quality diet, which he was less thrilled with. A bit of flax oil on his food seemed to help, as did a "pet shampoo spray" I found in a pet store, which moisturized his fur and skin without the hassle of giving him a bath.
Avatar f tn Ughhh Yes..I never had dandruff and id be able to go almost 4days without washing it..and now I'm constantly washing it it *****..
