I recently got box braids but this time they were super tight so i had to take some down and noticed there was scabbing and red spots. Long story short i got them put back in by another hairdresser; however i noticed that i still have red spots in the places that i didnt get re-braided. These spots arent raised, but they are kind of dry and are mildly painful. Should i wait a couple of days to see if they go away? (It has already been a week since i got them braided the first time.

Im scared now. I have an appointment Thursday to get braids. Im 29 weeks and have alot of tail bone pain when sitting for a long time. However pregnancy has made me really lazy and I've been neglecting my hair, I don't want it to fall out. Do u think it would help if I bought a pillow along with me to sit on?
I think you/baby will be fine. I've relaxed my hair twice during my pregnancy and I'm now 29 wks. You could also try some protective styles for your hair, such as box braids.
who had a sore spot in her hair due to the tightness of the previous braids. there was no blood but only soreness and dirt on the scalp which was a bit smelly from the soreness. i wiped the spot with hydogen peroxide then braided her hair. i had a little knick on my finger previously. her hair follicles may have made contact with my knick (which was not bleeding) is this enough to infect me if she had hiv or infection? i am paranoid.

Dont feed into it ,when she says her pants are too tight or uneven say nothing, and let her wear her hir loose if braids annoy her, my seat belt gets too tight aswell, she has to have it buckled so just do it, if you dont make a big issue of this kind of thing she is not getting any attention from it and also distraction works.

Hi, I'm African American and I've been braiding my hair since I found out I was pregnant 17 weeks ago tomorrow, I was wondering do I continue to go chemical free or can I get my hair done at some point. When is it possible or can the chemicals use hurt the baby through out the pregnancy.

does your dog have pustules that weep and drain and scab? or is it just flacky red with hair loss? it could be a number of things, chows tend to have skin issues. have they done a scrap for mange? is the hairless skin thickening? sometimes it can also be a reaction to fleas... aslo many dogs have food allergies that can cause these symptoms.. what do you feed your dog? is the hair loss mostly in one area or wide spread ? and is the itching widespread or localized?

For dandruff, eat a healthy diet. You can also take vit B6 and vit A and E which are good for hair and skin. Try medicated shampoos for dandruff. There are a number of over-the-counter shampoos available that can help. The most effective ingredients -- antimicrobials -- to look for are zinc pyridinethione, selenium sulfide, sulfur and ketoconazole (also available by prescription). If your hair is colored, don't use products with selenium sulfide or sulfur.
Hi, wondering if anyone has an answer for me. I used to get dandruff on and off and I used head & shoulders or others like it and it worked fine. This winter, however, my scalp has gotten extremly dry and itchy and flaky, and sore from all the scratching. I tried a bunch of more heavy duty OTC shampoos for dandruff, but none worked. I used an essential oils scalp massage and that worked for a bit. Now it is out of control and driving me crazy.
Honestly i do not know when it started but i am always using my finger to rub on my scalp looking for something to scratch off , i have a serious problem with dandruff it comes and goes and sometimes grow over night.
When i have it bad i notice i have red spots or bumps on my scalp and i need help because i am very scared this might be some sort of disease ... can someone tell me what are these small red spots that appear ?
s too tight on your head like braids or a pony tail. , those are some things that made me have headaches like crazy . See if those are a problem .
Well my sister is Mexican and black but her hair is craZy!! Lol not very manageable! Sometimes it can be but usually no. We were always trying different creams and stuff. Idk about now since I'm moved out and married and she's older but I would say best way to manage it is one day at a time and braids after showering helps alot!
