dandruff with braids

For awhile now I have had a sore spot in the top of my head. I don't wear pony tails or braids because anything that pulls on my scalp gives me a headache. My scalp doesn't have sores and the area doesn't appear to be red, but my hair has thinned in the sore area. It isn't sore to touch it just constantly feels tender. I do suffer from allergies to dust, pollen, and cat dandruff. I often have sinus pressure around my temples and forehead.

I'm due in October with my first and I'm tryna decide whether to get braids (box or Micros) or a sew in.

The people I asked said its gotten too long for braids so now I'm thinking a sew in

I was wondering the same thing. I want to get my braids done but I don't want to wait til the last minute. This is my fourth baby and even though my first 2 was born 39 weeks and the last one was born at 40 weeks I don't want to think the same with this one cause you just never know. Each pregnancy and baby is different. I'm going to wait til after my 36 week check up which is this coming Thursday to see what my doctor says after checking my cervix.

Did they use any product on your hair in the process that is something you haven't used before? To be sure of what those red spots are (they may not even be related to the braids), I'd make an appointment with your doctor so that you can have an in person exam. This will result in a more definitive answer for you!

m so sorry to laugh but I have 3 girls and am pregnant with #4. My first baby I walked around with big French braids. All my cousins were pregnant with me and were relaxing their hair. I was so scared. After they had healthy babies I felt silly. So now I relax my hair and my other 2 children were great. Haven't relaxed my hair with this one because I have box braids. If you do anything else to your hair, let someone else do it.

So I usually relax my hair but ever since I got pregnant I decided to cut back on the relaxer since it contains way too many chemicals.. At the moment I have braids but its about that time I take them off .. My hair is kinky curly and I have never worn my natural texture like I don't even know how to style it :( ...

Im scared now. I have an appointment Thursday to get braids. Im 29 weeks and have alot of tail bone pain when sitting for a long time. However pregnancy has made me really lazy and I've been neglecting my hair, I don't want it to fall out. Do u think it would help if I bought a pillow along with me to sit on?

I have had dandruff for years. I tried washing my hair with different shampoos, tried washing my hair multiple times per day and even tried several different anti-dandruff shampoos without success. Now I'm going to start using home remedies like apple cider vinegar.

I have really coarse curly hair and typically go the salon to have it straightened with a Brazilian keratin treatment then blown out. But I was told no on getting that done while pregnant due to the chemicals in the treatment.

I don't know what to do anymore. She throws these elaborat tantrums but ONLY about certain things. For example, she hates wearing pants because she thinks they are always too tight, falling down, or uneven. She hates braids & pony tails because she thinks they are - you got it; too tight or uneven. And she HATES getting buckled in her car seat because it's either too tight or uneven. Those are pretty much the only times she throws these fits. Otherwise she's very well behaved.

s too tight on your head like braids or a pony tail. , those are some things that made me have headaches like crazy . See if those are a problem .

How many of you mommies babies are mix with black and had beautiful curly hair? How do you guys manage the hair? And what do you use for there curls? my daughter is mix with venezulan, Spanish Asian and black. She has these pretty tight silky curls. I wanna know what's the best way to manage her beautiful curls.

)) I see more african american women with braids than with there hair done during pregnancies, even though there are a lot that get perms. I would talk to your dr and see what she recommends, or even just ask her what are the dangers(if there are any). Congrats!!!!

Dandruff is common in cats of many coat colors, but very noticeable in black cats. My now deceased black longhair had dandruff at times, and I treated that with brushing/combing, which he was thrilled with, and a high-quality diet, which he was less thrilled with. A bit of flax oil on his food seemed to help, as did a "pet shampoo spray" I found in a pet store, which moisturized his fur and skin without the hassle of giving him a bath.

I believe you're overthinking it. Greasy hair has nothing to do with patm. I can greasy hair as well if I don't shower in 2 or 3 days. And I used to have dandruff (if you call that film) like crazy way before I developed patm. To have greasy hair and dandruff is normal.

Of course, a vet would likely know if they looked at it. But with the dandruff like description and the winter months where heaters run and humidity tends to be lower in the house, it seems as if dry skin is a possibility. You might try a humidifier in the area she spends most her time.

I trust this one so much I give it to my cat in capsules with each meal. I just clip the end of the capsule with a small scissors or pierce it with a sharp pin and squeeze a few drops on to the food. Since it changes the food taste to fish taste, they usually love it. Do not use salmon oil that comes as a liquid in a bottle. That oil can go rancid VERY fast once it is exposed to air, even if it comes in one of those lovely cobalt-blue bottles that's supposed to protect the product.

I have been suffering from dandruff for more than 10 years. I have tried Nizoral, coal tar, head and shoulder, selsum blue etc but nothing seems to help. Especially in 3 area in my head near the centre, I big circle of dandruff forming. They can be almost the size of dime. Its thicken , raised flaky transparent skin layer with dots. I have been noticing this for atleast 4 years now. I scratch and take it out but it rebuilds in just couple of day in the excact location.

She came in wet and I ot a towel to dry her, I noticed many white bits on her fur, got the wire brush and brushed her, it looks like dandruff do, cats get that ,its not flea eggs as when I looked through the magnifying glass you can se its like of flaky bits.. What can I do about it, are there dandruff shampoos .She's not been bathed as she hates water .Any ideas .

I think this resulted in me developing serious dandruff. its been a problem for a while now. I think there is some hairloss and scalp is very dry and itchy. Everytime I run my fingers through my hand i can see flakes falling down. I plan on shaving my head and start applying some cream. Can you recommend any medicine or any remedies. So I know pregnancy causes dry skin. Today I just noticed I have dandruff :( and my lips are chapped and they never are :( did y'all experience this?
