dandruff and itchiness

Hi Everyone, around a month ago my alt was 176 and going to start my treatment next week. Now a days i feel very very itchy specially on face and head. all of a sudden i have a whole lot of dandruff all over my head. i even used anti dandruff shampoo everyday but didn't help. is this because of Hep c? i have genotype 3. Please englighten me.

Hey guys,im having a severe ithchiness on my vangina surface since a month ago,I dont know what to do,it hurts me so much and havent sleep peacefully for days.I tried using dandruff shampoo(usually dandruff hair itches) and applied some sort of cream,i feel like it doesnt help.Oh god,im typing this with the itchiness down there.I even trimmed my pubic hair thinking maybe it itches because i havent trim for so long.Is there something i can do to stop the itchiness at least for temporarily.

I'm an extremely hairy person who has dandruff and has suffered from seborrhic dermatitis for over 10 years. I've used things like elidel with little effect. I was wondering if it could be from the herbal supplement that I am taking st john worts flaxseed oil and b complex?

My mum said it might be lice so I’ve bought lice treatment and there still appears to be the white beads. So I don’t think it’s lice. I then tried dandruff shampoo and it didn’t get rid of it either. A few other symptoms are that whenever I wash my hair, a hand full of hair would fall out and I’ve realised how much thinner my hair has become compared to before. Also at night time I would feel once or twice itchiness and sometimes I feel like an insect is crawling on my scalp. Please help!!

Even my scalp is itchy at times, not because of dandruff or dry skin, even after I have showered and washed my hair several times and scrubbed my body until there could be no possible dirt left. I don’t believe that it could be allergies because I will experience itchiness for a length of time, maybe 2-3 weeks, then (without my noticing) I won’t be itchy for a time; but the itchiness always returns.

I have tried dandruff shampoo, neosporin, lotion, tea tree oil, and plain petroleum jelly. All have worked to a point, but the itchiness and scaly skin still continue. It comes off in flakes. I do wear glasses and use a headband when I go to the gym which I thought caused it. Keep it clean and dry after showers but it hasn't helped. Anyone have something that works?

hi....i have itchiness on pubic areas plus it is very dry that it flakes like dandruff on the head. It bothers me a lot especially when itchiness attacked. i have only 1 partner he is my husband. Because i always scratch it soreness happen to follow and it is really not good. I tried to use canesten thinking that it might be fungal but the more it itch and discharge appears. what will i do with this....

Other skin conditions we need to rule out are fungal infections and dermatitis. These conditions however may present with a patch of redness ,itchiness and scaling.

All you need to do is go to your local pet store and buy a special shampoo for cats for dandruff, itchiness, and dry skin. I'm almost positive that I have eczema on my face. It's itchy, dry, red, scaly patches on my face mostly cheeks and forehead, but also around the edges of my mouth and sideburn areas. Sounds like he needs to see a dr to see if he has some kind of staph infection in his blood, that is causing the pimples/boils.

I am of Indian - asian origin, male and 19 years of age. I often find my scalp quite itchy and when I do go for a good scratch, I usually on average find that the source of the problem is a hair follicle or two which I would find uprooted in my hands with some kind of a deposit where the root should be. You can treat flaking and dryness with over-the-counter dandruff or medicated shampoos. Shampoo the hair vigorously and frequently (preferably daily). Active ingredients in these shampoos include salicylic acid, coal tar, zinc, resorcin, ketoconazole, or selenium. But if your hair is colored, don't use products with selenium sulfide or sulfur. If the symptoms persist, then it would be best to get it confirmed from a dermatologist and get fungal infections ruled out. Eat a healthy diet.

I went to bed one night feeling fine and the next morning I had all this itchiness going on. I have no rash, bite marks, redness, nothing at all which puzzles the doctors. Started from three days ago, I can feel that I have several redness bumps with itchy sensation spread around the scalp and majority are at occipital and temporal bone area, and two on the right and left frontal hairline. then i started to develop light dandruff (white, very little grains) and seem not to manage to get it under control with normal dandruff shampoos etc. while googling dandruff i read that dandruff (but i assume heavy) can be a sign of hiv infection. then i started reading about scary high aids rates in portugal. especially as most new infections here come from hetero sexual encounters.
