Common Questions and Answers about Cure anxiety through diet

Avatar f tn I was put off as having anxiety for 7 months before I was finally treated and had to have emergency surgery before it ruptured. I am now dealing with stomach aches, heartburn, and anxiety as a result of all of this. Will this ever go away or is there something else I should be concerned with. I have to take Buspar 2x a day 5mg in the am and 10mg in the pm. Everytime I eat, it seems like I have stomach issues. I do not have IBS. What else could it be?
572651 tn?1530999357 no diet will cure your MS, if so, the MS society would be singing it from the highest hilltop. That's all I am going to say other than I read all of her original claims and then cleaned it out of my head. I have to have hard science and I know that MS is not cured by any diet. Perhaps you might clean up your lifestyle and body functions by following a particular diet that makes you feel better, but it will not make your MS go away.
Avatar f tn he recommends one of the DMDs, steroids for acute attacks, exercise, meditation, diet and supplements as a complete package, not just diet alone. Avatar n tn *should read Diet does not cause or cure acne. Eating only fruit for a month will lead to weight loss and dizziness as fruit contains insufficient calories. An average male should consume around 2000 calories a day, unless they are trying to lose weight. Eating too much fruit will also lead to loose stools and excess gas. 5-7 portions of fruit or vegetables a day is plenty, within a balanced diet. Eloise.

396099 tn?1216254986 I havn't seen a lot of discussion on diet relating to anxiety. I found the following information on the Mayo Clinic Website. 808293 tn?1238602183 I suffered from 24/7 anxiety and obsessive thoughts about anxiety, until I decided to seek therapy and go on meds. I have been on both for just over 2 weeks. Since then, I will have a few days where I felt good; anxiety wasn't nearly as bad, the obsessive thoughts about anxiety didn't come as often, and I could stay positive for most of the day...I guess I started to think I was "cured", even if logically I knew I really wasn't.
Avatar f tn ************** depends upon treating the underlying depressive illness through anti-anxiety or anti-depressant medicines. 968908 tn?1274871115 When you say chemical imbalance, the question is, what disorder are you talking about? They're not all the same. As for anxiety and depression, there is no evidence of a chemical imbalance in anyone. This idea was started by the pharmaceutical industry to sell their antidepressants, but no study has ever found that somebody with depression or anxiety has any more or less serotonin or norepinephrine or glutamate than anyone else.
Avatar m tn Yes, you can. If it doesn't work, the meds will always be there -- they aren't going anywhere. But your problem isn't that severe right now, so it's also best medicine to start with the least invasive techniques first. Also remember, drugs never cure anxiety since we don't know what causes it, they just tamp down the symptoms, but if your therapy is successful that might well cure you. Give it a go.
Avatar m tn t neccessarily going to cure all of your anxiety, because some of your issues are behavioral when you suffer from anxiety, but you should know that for a lot of people medication combined with therapy really do help. Talk to your doctor or a psychiatrist to see what your options are.
9648031 tn?1405039048 I know that sugar has been called addictive, but really, comparing the withdrawal effects of stopping sugar to that of stopping heroin, for example, or an antidepressant is not equivalent. Most people who stop sugar intake feel better, not worse. Now, I don't know which anti-fungal supplements you're talking about -- do you mean drugs or something such as oregano oil?

Avatar m tn Hi, I have tried every possible way to treat my migraine, but nothing worked for me so far. When I visited my dentist last week, he suggested a cure for my migraine problems. He asked me to use stabilization splints ( ), as they reduce headaches. I didn't even know that there was a connection with teeth. Has anyone tried this before? If yes, did it work? Should I give it a try? Please advise?
Avatar f tn Hi, I have been suffering anxiety for about 5 months now. I noticed I have been getting better. Most days I feel better, but then some days I don't. It just tends to fluctuate. But I have always wondered, will the feelings and symptoms of anxiety ever go away? Such as obsessive thoughts, scary thoughts, racing thoughts, worrying..which really gets frustrating. Supposedly there is "no cure" to anxiety...just ways to cope with anxiety, which I have done already.

Avatar m tn t feel well following that night, you went into anxiety mode. For many of us, once you have a panic attack or bad anxiety, you begin to worry about it happening again, and the feelings of anxiety begin to consume you. I really think you can benefit by talking to the psychiatrist; I believe that they are far better than regular MDs in terms of anxiety / depression, and have greater knowledge of the many drug options. Good luck to you!

Avatar f tn There is currently no cure. Weight control products all carry small print...results may vary. Most diet remedies are nothing more than glorified vitamin supplements. The booklet urging you to exercise to speed up the only medicinal part of the product. Exercise in someone who has never exercised, or lives an unhealthy lifestyle, will show results. Most who stop taking the supplement, also stop exercising, and low and behold the weight comes back.
