Avatar m tn I mean looking back I have been sort of a busy body anxious person but this took over my life really fast and hard. I just had such a hard time trying to sleep. Went to ER nothing was wrong they said anxiety related.
Avatar f tn I want to get back to sports I'm sitting out of rugby right now and I would like to play by the end of may so how can I heal fast I'm going to a kids concussion specialist next week but I'm scared I won't be able to play and sports or do anything ever again.
Avatar n tn In my experience they can be a useful tool in helping you confront your anxiety, but I believe the most important step you can take would be to go to see a therapist and learn and gain knowledge about why you are experiencing and how to beat it. And remember, not to do anything on your own with medications...always do it under the advice of a doctor....keep us posted!
Avatar f tn There are several different classes of medications that are prescribed for anxiety. Some are fast acting and prescribed for the short term, while others 'take time' to work and are prescribed more for the long term. Different medications have various benefits, side effects, etc....much like any class of medication we put into our bodies be it from aspirin to blood pressured medications, etc.
Avatar m tn It sounds like anxiety. Have you had anything happen to increase it recently? Seeing a cardiologist will helpfully ease you mind that you are not having a heart attack, it is very hard for people with health anxiety to truly believe that they are ok. Seeing a therapist or trying CBT etc may be a very good option for you. Just think about all the times you thought you were going to die, but you are still here and probably healthier than you realize. We waste our lives worrying about the what ifs.
4549134 tn?1363196815 ( just getting the news and trying to figure out how to cope is the problem. Is melatonin safe to take for sleep? Having trouble with that too! Im just stressed to the Max!
Avatar f tn The answer to that is yes, unfortunately that's exactly how I felt before I knew I had to start treatment. That's what is called an anxiety attack where you need to lay down and that still doesn't make it all better. Anxiety and depression cause these symptoms to your body and mind.
Avatar m tn I believe that we all have PATM have STRONG MIND that only us can solve the problem. We have to learn how to do it in our own. But i cannot do this w/ my own if i have work and family in me. I just need a big brake/ leave and have long vacation that can teach myself how to manage my own mind. Good diet, meditation, exercise and prayer most of all. Good luck to us! I love you guys.
Avatar n tn What is a natural way to cure Premature Ejaculation? I've gotten to the point where I experience pre-*** soon after arousal. Is it normal to experience pre-*** so soon? Also, if I lose an erection due to no intercourse being performed, I can almost feel the *** built up in my penis as the pre *** comes out. When this happens I ejaculate VERY fast during intercourse once an erection is obtained.
1124887 tn?1313758491 If not, you can ask your doctor for a small dosage just to try. Anxiety meds can also be worth a try, but you need to ask a doctor these questions. Try to think like this: 1. Have the PVCs caused me any harm except feeling annoying? 2. If they haven't - is it likely they will? They will not. All they do is to be annoying. And I think they are more frequent and more annoying because you focus on them so much. Even people with A-fib learn to live with it, after a couple of years.
Avatar n tn How long do I have to wait for the treatments to work. Am I just expecting it to cure the yeast infection too soon? Is this something that takes time to heal? It's just really irritating. It's been almost 2 months and I would like it to go away. Can anyone give me some insights? Also, I got to the gym alot and wait to shower and change out of my gym clothes until I get home.
Avatar m tn I have an odd question to do with how fast the liver can regenerate itself. I've read in here that liver damage can occur in Hep C b/c of the liver constantly having to fend off the virus. I have TX'd with Peg Intron and Rib with no significant results (1 log drop after 12 weeks) but my Dr. thinks I should treat again whenever Telaprevir is released Her suggested treatment is a combo of all three this time (Int/Rib/Tel).
Avatar n tn If it another source like PVCs or another type of fast heart rhythm, at least then your doctor will know how to direct therapy. If it is anxiety, someone last week recommended some books by Dr. Claire Weeks that helped them get through years of anxiety. I have not read the books myself. I hope this helps. Good luck and thanks for posting. Post some follow up information when you have more tests if you have time.
Avatar f tn I'm 28 years old and in March my heart began to beat fast while watching tv. it was beating 178 bpm. i didn't go to the dr till the next day. my dr sent me to the er and they ran a lot of test and gave me some medicine to bring it down. i schedule an appt with a heart dr and he did all the blood work, stress, echo and found nothing that was in may. in july we were visiting some family and my heart again began to race. this time almost 200 bpm and lasted all day.
Avatar m tn Anxiety causes you not to sleep which causes your anxiety to get worse which causes you to not sleep which causes your anxiety to..... Set up a time to be in bed by. Do not take your phone or computer into your bedroom. If you have trouble thinking in circles instead of sleeping, try white noise, such as a fan or air-conditioner. Try to get the temperature of the room between 65 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Cooler temperatures are better for your comfort while sleeping.
Avatar f tn Hi, I also have SVT and can totally relate to your frustration. I am 27 yrs ld and want to start a family but before i can i need to find a "cure" for the svt. I am on a very very low dose of a beta blocker (which i don't even think helps with the svt) and have been told that it is not advised to take beta blockers in the first 2-3 months of pregnancy after that it is fine. I have not had an ablation yet but am considering it. I am sorry that your ablations were unsuccessful.
Avatar f tn My NEW doctor says I have a non-specified mood disorder (not depression/anxiety) on the depressive side and wants me to try Mood stabilizers because SSRI's seem to cause me to have even more anxiety. I am a bit nervous about Lithium because it sounds harmful for your kidneys and thyroid. Also, a significant factor in my life that causes me A LOT of frustration is weight. I am 5' 2" so a little bit of weight is alot on my small frame.
Avatar m tn I don't want to mix with RESTORE. I like to ask you one more question. How long did it take you to see results when taking RESTORE?
758077 tn?1282599161 The only relief I ever found was drinking more to relieve the syptoms. Alcohol is a depressent and depending upon how much and how long you drink, the more you depress your system, the higher it goes into hyper mode after you are done. So the experiences you have are normal. It sounds like maybe you don't party all the time, but when you do, you party like a rock star. I completely understand. No judgments here whatsoever. I did the same. My body had the exact same reactions.
Avatar m tn sleep apnea, disk issues? Once u know all that is going on it is easier to know which ones and how to treat....so if u have Chiari and rush to surgery to feel better, and u have EDS but did not know u could feel worse or the same post op and not bcuz surgery failed but bcuz the Drs failed to checked what else was going on. Take it one day at a time, get all the testing, listen to ur body and avoid activities that will trigger the symptoms to flare. We all have diff ways to calm a flare...
1129232 tn?1360803958 recommended either a low dose beta blocker to see if that would stop the palps and/or xanax for anxiety. I actually got both prescriptions but only got the xanax filled and took one pill (following the advice of my husband). needless to say it has done nothing for me. My heart is still the same and now all i feel is angry because once again these drs can't figure out what is wrong with me. I explained to the ER doc about having Hashi's etc and could this be a medication malfunction etc.
209987 tn?1451939065 Anyone ever pay to read the reports? Any guesses on how to brush off an impending attack? I have suffered with depression/anxiety/panic for most of my life, and would love to find something that actually works. None of the pills have helped...most have made it worse. Effexor was the only one that came close, but they had me on so much of it that I couldn't function. All I could do was sit and drool...literally.
Avatar m tn i used for about 7or 8 years not all the time though.i have got drummed into my head that as soon as get missing heartbeat chest pain and all the other symptons i automatically think heart attack straight away do u have irregular heartbeat aswell.i was so close to taking the pills i was in tears for about two three hours.its horrible feeling like this have become obsessed that something is wrong.
Avatar n tn But there's a problem here and I can't understand that known one knows how to put these palpitation to rest! There has to be some kind treatment that will stop them. It sounds to me that many women are having a problem with palipitions and in 1999 there is no real help except cut you caffeine out of your diet. Well I can tell you that doesn't work. Any help out there from natural sources that anyone have tried????
Avatar f tn Well, there ARE meds out there that greatly help during a PA, but they come in pill form! Have you sought help with a doctor? Tried any meds or therapy? The good news is, there are a lot of treatments out there for anxiety...relief comes, it just takes time, work and patience on our part. There really isn't a "magical cure" per se, but learning how to cope is possible with therapy, and there are a lot of different meds that have helped countless people control their symptoms.
Avatar m tn Here is a good video to watch and it talks about yeast and how it immigrates to other parts of the body. It's about 20 minutes long but its going to cost you is your time. wwwdotyoutubedotcom/watch?
2095142 tn?1333236800 We know how much you love her and don't want her to leave. You know it is Time for Tracy to leave you. It is up to you to decide how she will leave. Natural death or euthanasia is personal decision, and it will be the hardest decision you ever have to make for Tracy. Tracy knows that you only ALWAYS want to do what you think is best for her. No matter what your choice is, remember that you choose it out of love. My heart goes out to you, I know how difficult this is....
Avatar m tn I think you already saw a doctor for all this since you are taking Klonopin which is used to treat anxiety and Pristiq which is used to treat depression. It is normal to be feeling like this when starting the treatment. May i ask you how long you have been taking those meds? It can take up to 1 months before you can see the benefits.
Avatar f tn Once we start that, all bets are off. CBT will teach you how that cycle of thinking works, and how to gradually learn how to change how you think, and change how you react to those "what ifs". You will definitely benefit MUCH more from the CBT (or any kind of therapy) if you keep an open mind and really TRY. You know now that you do NOT have a medical condition or anything wrong with your heart....
Avatar f tn You should also think about therapy to determine why you have anxiety and see if there is a root cause which can be dealt with and ease your anxiety. Many of us never learn exactly why we have anxiety, but for some it can be a past traumatic event that they never truly dealt with or may have even forgotten about. Therapy also can teach us how to cope better. I hope this helps and take care!
