Lol they say it's bad because your baby can be born with little red bumps kind of like razor bumps. I eat so much chili and so did my mom when she was pregnant. My brother and sister were born with those bumps but not my older brother or I. I think it's a myth.
Does anyone else have asthma problems after eating foods with Red Chilli peppers in it? I keep meeting more and more asthmatics with this capsaicin allergy and wonder why there is not more information on how certain foods can cause inflammation in lungs. One tenth of a teaspoon of chilli pepper sent me into an anaphylactic asthma attck that nearly killed me. Now that its out of my diet completely I have a 70% reduction in symptoms for the first time in 25 years.
With my son all I did was crave chilli. Everyone told me my son would be hairy, or really red once he was born. Was all a lie my son was happy and healthy (= your fine!

Went to dairy queen and got a bacon and cheese grill burger combo. Hey my doctor told me to eat red meat every day until the baby is born and a burger is red meat lol.
No strange cravings for me actually! However, I never used to be a big red meat fan, but I've grown to like it more these past few months! :) mmmm... I could actually go for a cheeseburger, now that you mention it!
I'm craving Chinese food, In-n-Outs animal style double double cheese burgers & fries, hamburger stands chilli cheese fries, watermelon, strawberries, and Doritos with red devil.

Had you ate anything red the day of? Happened to my sister but she forgot she had eaten Hot Cheetos and confused it for blood.
Chilli isn't chilli without crackers. So I'm right there with him. Lol!

When I was little I had tryd those chilli candys from mexico. I'm 12 weeks prego and Iv been craving it soI bought that tajin chilli seasoning. Omg sooo goooddd.
It can be controlled with the proper diet, but it won't go away. Depends on how bad it is, you may need medication to control it. Has your doctor made an appt. to discuss with you? Usually they'll set you up with a nutritionist to discuss ways to control it with diet. I didn't have it with my first, but I go next week for my test, pretty nervous! Babies tend to be bigger with gestational diabetes, I would make sure you ask your doctor all the questions you have about it.
You need carbs to live. Look up how carbs help you and how they don't. Make sure you are taking prenatals as well!
