My lunch is some kind of fish - tuna,salmon etc and salad with lots of pickles and beetroot and pineapple, I peck on fruit allllll day, and have a protein and vegetables for dinner. I also snack on plain yoghurt and fruit smoothies. I do a 40min workout at home every day. A dietician told me that a big secret is to eat fruit on an empty stomach.

But this last couple of years it's all been around the stomach. Maybe our insulin levels are too high - I know that I have better luck losing weight if I stay off the carbs and try to eat lots of raw vegetables and fruit.

It's really advisable to have protein, some carbs and maybe some fruit for breakfast. The protein will also helps you think and gives you energy as does the carbs. As for going to the gym, you don't have to go everyday. Walking is one of the best exercises you can do.

Avatar n tn There is NO ideal carb count. Each of us is different. How many carbs you can handle without having your BG go too high (140 in the USA) is different than it is for me (I eat under 50gr a day). Google "eat to your meter" that will tell you haw many carbs YOU can eat.
Avatar n tn Hey there! I don't think you need to limit yourself to a certain amount of carbs per day. I would recommend trying a high protein and high fiber diet. Also try meal planning. Having a plan will ensure that you aren't going overboard on carbs, and knowing how many carbs you'll have for each meal will help you plan your bolus more correctly.

Avatar f tn if you crave something more salty or crave nuts, you need to increase your protein intake. If you crave carbs like bread, crackers, and fruit, then you need more instant carbs. I normally only allow myself 1/4 c nuts daily, unless you eat no other carbs except meat and veggies, then you can up it to 1/2 c. Otherwise, maybe do the whole half a sandwhich and peanut butter, will fill you up more. Only do the pretzels if you crave bread.

It's like my hunger is so desperate if I ate one cookie and waited like ten minutes it would probably help but I feel like I can't wait like I need more and I need it NOW. So scary. Small balanced breakfast, low on carbs...(carbs tend to make us more hungry) healthy snack before lunch.... balanced lunch..... healthy snack between lunch and dinner, then a healthy balanced dinner. I'd also suggest drinking plenty of water and making exercise part of your daily routine just like brushing your teeth. And as for what you should be losing per week??? How did you come up with losing 3 lbs per week?
